Chapter 1313

"Honestly, surgery isn't worth it. Not only because of the price, but also because the chances of survival with this kind of wound are very low." Doctor Zhang was also a sincere man. He suggested to Qin Suyun, "If you really can't bear it, you can euthanize it."

In pet hospitals, there are many pets that cannot be cured. In order to alleviate their pain, many owners will choose euthanasia for them and then bury them properly.

The cost of euthanasia is not high, only two hundred is enough.

"No! Even if there's only a 5/1000 chance of survival, I'll save it." Qin Suyun shook her head without hesitation, looked at Doctor Zhang, and said firmly, "Doctor Zhang, please perform surgery on it and treat its wounds now! No matter what happens to it in the future, I won't blame Doctor Zhang."

"Well, I'll do my best."

The situation was urgent. Doctor Zhang nodded without saying anything. He quickly looked up and shouted to the person next to him, "Xiao Li, quickly help me prepare some things and give this cat emergency treatment!"

"Give me the cat and I'll take it to the sterile operating room for surgery. You just wait outside." After taking the big black cat, Dr. Zhang walked towards the sterile operating room on the first floor.

The girl at the front desk who was originally standing there took Qin Suyun to pay the money and sign.

After the sanitation worker saw that she had nothing to do, she said goodbye to Qin Suyun and the others and went back to work. It was not easy to work these days. If the leader came to inspect and found that she was not there, her salary would definitely be deducted.

Qin Suyun had just finished signing when she saw five young men in their early twenties, dressed in very trendy clothes, walking down from the second floor. Behind them was a middle-aged veterinarian in a white coat with a charming smile on his face.

The leader was a young man with dyed blond hair, earrings, a black leather jacket and a pink shirt.

He frowned, rubbing the three bloodstains on his face as he spat, "Today is such a fucking bad luck! Not only did I lose the dog fight to those guys from North City, but even a cat dared to mess with me!"

"Damn it! I don't know if my face will be disfigured when I turn around. I'll even have to go to the hospital to get a rabies vaccine..." The blond man cursed with a long face. When he saw Qin Suyun looking at him, he glared at her fiercely and yelled, "What are you looking at? Have you ever seen a man as handsome as me?"

The people behind the blond man laughed and echoed.

Qin Suyun narrowed her eyes slightly. She had been working for so many years and had seen all kinds of people. As for those who liked to show off their eloquence, most of them were not very capable and would not get any benefits in the end. She never paid attention to them and did not take them to heart.

However, these five people should be the rich second-generation dog fighters that the middle-aged sanitation lady mentioned earlier...

Seeing Qin Suyun still standing at the reception desk without saying anything, several people felt bored. Besides, this woman looked older than them. Although she was beautiful, they were not interested. They all curled their lips and left the pet hospital under the compliment of the middle-aged veterinarian.

"Uncle Zhang, are we really going to throw Young Master Guo's dog straight into the trash? Wasn't it once a military dog?" The lively girl at the front desk stood up and looked around. Seeing that the five people had left and were out of sight, she started to grumble at the middle-aged veterinarian.

Qin Suyun also looked at the other party with curiosity. She didn't know that the fighting dogs hired by those rich second-generations were actually military dogs.

Seeing someone around, the middle-aged veterinarian, fearing trouble, glared at his niece and shouted fiercely, "What do you mean by military dog? Only dogs serving in the army are called military dogs. Guo Shao's German Shepherd has never been in service. It's just a training dog. How can it be called a military dog?"

"Bah, Dahei used to have great performance in the team. I heard that if it weren't for the Guo family, he wouldn't have fallen into such a state..." The girl at the front desk retorted subconsciously, but when she saw the middle-aged veterinarian's face getting darker and darker, she could only shut up.

"Okay, okay, where's your cousin? Didn't I call him to come and help me treat the wounds of Guo Shao and his dogs? Why hasn't he come yet? Call me again to urge him." The middle-aged veterinarian frowned and tapped his fingers on the table.

There are only three veterinarians in Xinxin Pet Hospital. His son was supposed to have a day off today, but unexpectedly, so many injured dogs came at once, and two of them could not be delayed at all. He had no choice but to ask his son to rush from home to work.

Their home is close to the pet hospital, only a few minutes' walk away, but he didn't expect his son hadn't arrived yet.

"My cousin has gone to the operating room on the second floor for surgery." The girl at the front desk winked and said with a smile, "This lady's cat is seriously injured. It looks like... we'll have to wait another hour or two."

"Tsk! Fine then, wait till he's done with his work and ask him to come and help me." The middle-aged veterinarian frowned. There were several other animals waiting for him upstairs, and he dared not delay.

"Okay!" the little girl responded crisply.

Less than a few minutes after the two finished talking, an apprentice came down from upstairs leading a German Shepherd.

The wolfhound was a sturdy, stocky beast, its long, glossy yellow-black fur gleaming with color, though it looked rather awful. Its left hind leg was severely injured, and dark red blood had clotted into its fur, creating a filthy mess. It limped, its foot leaving a bloody mark with every step. Its right eye was also severely injured, likely from some animal's sharp claws. The claw had pierced its eyeball, leaving a hideous wound that was now protruding outwards, and blood was still dripping onto the polished floor of the veterinary clinic.

Even though it was seriously injured, the dog still endured the pain without making a sound, just hanging its tail, breathing heavily, with no light in its eyes, as if it were a pool of stagnant water.

"Well, don't blame me for being cruel. It's your master who doesn't want you." The apprentice who led the dog downstairs was quite young, probably less than 20 years old, and new to the workforce. Seeing the usually majestic German Shepherd looking so lifeless, he felt pity for it and couldn't help but reach out and stroke the German Shepherd's fur, mumbling to himself.

"He said your leg is lame from your injury this time. Even if you recover, your speed will definitely be much slower than before. Plus, your eye was blinded by the wild cat, leaving you one-eyed. Your fighting ability is barely half what it was before... There's no point in him keeping you, so..." The other man sighed and shook his head, a bit disappointed in his friend. "How could you be so foolish? With your strength, you could have just bitten that wild cat's neck in one bite and everything would have been fine. Why would you end up blinding an eye now?"

He was not very clear about how other dogs treated other puppies and kittens, but this German Shepherd had always been very gentle towards them.

Dahei has been here several times, and he stays for a while every time. After a few visits, he becomes very familiar with the place.

This dog has a good memory and has been rigorously trained. He is very friendly with both humans and animals, never harming others without reason. Even in the past, when fighting with other fighting dogs, he would always leave them a glimmer of hope. For this, Dahei was often punished. But when he turned around, the dog was gentle and good-tempered again. Otherwise, he would not have been blinded by the wild cat this time.

The apprentice sighed again, a look of regret on his face.
