The first morning in Tongcheng arrived quickly.
Because of the drop in temperature, everyone changed into light long-sleeved shirts and trousers today.
The skin on one's body is covered by clothing, which invisibly gives people an extra layer of psychological security!
Although they had only just arrived in Tongcheng, the team of six people and one cat had not yet had a chance to rest.
Early in the morning, the group left the postpartum care center and went to the three museums and exhibition halls they had visited the day before to collect various antiques.
Although this place is still located on the outskirts of Tongcheng, the streets are unusually lively.
When the car sets off in the morning, it often encounters one or more cars passing by in the distance.
Most people try to avoid getting close to strangers or unfamiliar vehicles.
Except for one convoy of three vehicles, whose purpose was unknown, which chased after Zuli and his group's RV for a whole street.
However, after seeing them drive towards the museum, they suddenly gave up following them.
Su Li turned her gaze away from the rearview mirror. Since the other party hadn't followed, there was no need to concern herself with their unfulfilled goal.
The nearest building is a local ancient culture museum, in front of which is a large square where only a few zombies wander around.
After getting out of the car, Lin Dong went to unlock the museum door, while Su Li, Xu Xiaojie, and Qi Zhi went to meet the approaching zombies and took them down one by one!
The three then returned to the door, where Lin Dong and the others had already opened the door and were waiting. As the three entered, Lin Dong closed the door again, but did not lock it.
If there is danger inside the museum, locking it might delay their escape!
The museum is not particularly large; it is a two-story building with seven exhibition halls.
The exhibition halls are not very large, and they display cultural relics from various historical periods unearthed in Tongcheng, including gold and jade artifacts, ceramics, bows and crossbows, as well as some unearthed documents and clothing.
Su Li didn't make any selections; she simply put the display case and the whole thing into the space.
The museum was already closed during the apocalypse. Although there should have been staff on night duty inside, they hadn't encountered any of them yet.
But even if they encounter it, it's okay, Xuanqing will give them a heads-up in advance.
The group moved quickly. Although they were delayed for a while because of the mutated plants blocking their way in the corridor, they still finished collecting the four exhibition halls on the first floor within an hour!
They also found two large generators located in the innermost power distribution room.
This was a pleasant surprise!
After clearing out the first floor, the group went directly up to the second floor via the side emergency staircase, but stopped in their tracks as soon as they opened the door!
The road ahead was blocked by a huge, mutated Guanyin statue.
And from the other side of the Dripping Water Guanyin statue, came the excited "hoho" roars of zombies!
Xuanqing jumped onto a leaf of a peace lily, listened for two seconds, then turned to look at the people behind him: "There are only two."
After he finished speaking, he jumped down from the leaf of the mutated Alocasia macrorrhiza and walked to Zuli's feet.
Su Li picked him up, then stepped aside and looked at Huang Keke, who was already prepared: "Come on!"
"Um!"
Huang Keke nodded, stepped forward and activated her superpower. She placed her palm on the stem of the Alocasia plant, and within seconds, the entire plant began to wither and die rapidly, extending outward from her palm!
Su Li reached out and pinched a leaf; with just a little force, a corner of the leaf was crushed.
Then she turned her head slightly and said to the people behind her, "Step back a little, don't get burned."
The others immediately retreated, while Xuanqing jumped onto the windowsill of the person behind him.
Su Li once again covered a leaf with her entire palm, and instantly, the burning flames rose up like a giant dragon before her eyes!
She quickly took two steps back to avoid the rising flames!
"Heh...heh..."
The zombies' excited roars rang out from the other side of the wall of fire, and the next instant, the Guanyin statue, which was burning fiercely in front of them, was violently hit!
"Splash... splash!"
"Hooray..."
The sound of plants crashing against each other, accompanied by the roars of zombies, came from the other side of the mutated plants.
Once, twice...
Just as the third attack was about to begin, a zombie engulfed in flames suddenly burst out from the other side of the mutated plant, crashing through the barrier!
Behind him, a second male zombie, also dressed in a security uniform, followed closely behind!
"Be careful not to get burned!"
Su Li quickly dodged the zombie charging at her, and in the instant she dodged, she threw a fireball at the zombie's neck!
The fireball touched the zombie and quickly burned inside, a black hole soon appearing on the back of its neck. Then the zombie's forward running speed slowed down, and finally, with a "thud!" it fell to the ground and became still.
But the flames on the dead zombies were still burning.
The flickering flames emitted intense heat. Su Li stepped forward and placed her palm over the flames. In the blink of an eye, the flames suddenly stopped flickering, and then, like a wisp of mist, they exploded and disappeared with a "poof!"
Then Su Li turned to look ahead, where Xu Xiaojie had already dealt with the zombie.
However, the place where the zombie fell happened to be next to the burning Guanyin statue. The flames generated by the superpower were extremely hot. In less than a minute, the mutated Guanyin statue had been completely burned to ashes, but the zombie was still burning.
The charred human fat emitted a foul odor. Su Li walked over to extinguish the flames and glanced at the zombie on the ground, whose flesh had been burned away and whose bones were exposed.
