Chapter 5: The arrogant cat feels a little nauseous!

After looking at the refrigerator, Su Li moved on to the kitchen cabinets.

Finally, in the cabinet under the stove, they found half a bag each of ten-pound wheat flour and rice, as well as two to half a pound each of other grains such as millet, corn grits, red beans, and mung beans.

She also found four boxes of self-heating hot pot, two cups of instant noodles, and a large bag of old-fashioned bread in the cabinet above the kitchen.

Su Li put all of these into her space, including seasonings such as oil, salt, soy sauce, vinegar, and sugar, as well as pots and pans.

As she put the last item into her spatial storage, she glanced at the changes in her experience points:

[Current space, awaiting upgrade, current experience 18/100]

So, you can accumulate experience points by putting things into the space?

Su Li thought about it and then tried taking the items out again. She found that the experience points she had gained hadn't changed, so her guess was probably correct.

Furthermore, she believed that the more valuable the item put in, the higher the experience points would be.

Because when she put those gold ornaments in, she clearly saw the space's experience points jump by five numbers at once.

Having finally learned how to use this cheat, Su Li unconsciously breathed a sigh of relief.

So she quickly returned to the rooms she had already looted, put the items inside into her spatial storage one by one, and then threw them out again.

She only worked for a short while before realizing something was wrong.

She placed all three beds into the thatched hut one by one, then took them out, but the space's experience points didn't change at all!

It was as if they knew she was just exploiting a bug to gain experience points!

Su Li tried several times, but with the same result each time. In the end, she could only sigh and choose to honestly and sincerely hoard things!

So she returned to the living room, intending to turn around to see if there was anything else she had missed, when she suddenly felt a light tap on her ankle.

"Um?"

She looked down and saw the little black cat, whom she had almost forgotten, sitting at her feet, its round little head tilted back, one of its little paws resting on her shoe.

She crouched down, reached out and picked up the cat, which looked unusually docile at that moment, and gently cradled its tail in her arms:

"Mimi, what are you doing?"

What she didn't notice was that the moment she said the name "Mimi," the cat in her arms stiffened for a second!

Xuanqing really dislikes the nickname "Mimi"!

This would make him feel like he was no different from any other ordinary kitten in the mortal world!

He's a cat born with intelligence!

But right now he can't even speak, so all he can do is stare at the girl who's hugging him and protest!

Unfortunately, the girl who was protesting didn't understand.

After staring for a long time, under the girl's increasingly puzzled gaze, he had no choice but to give up, struggled to turn around and jump to the ground.

Su Li didn't hold on to him; she could vaguely sense that the cat had something to ask her about.

So she watched the black cat's movements until he walked to the bag of dog food he had just dragged to the door, stopped, and turned to look at her. Only then did she raise her eyebrows slightly.

She followed him over, squatted down, looked at the black cat in front of her, pointed to the dog food on the ground, and tentatively asked, "You want me to take this away?"

The black cat looked back at her, blinked its azure eyes, and softly meowed, "Meow..."

Su Li's eyebrows twitched slightly, but she did not make a move immediately.

Sure enough, after waiting a while, the black cat saw that she still didn't move, so it took two more steps toward her.

This time he started rubbing his face against her bent knee.

"Meow~"

But Zurich still did not move immediately.

Instead, she squatted there and stared at the cat beneath her for a long while before thoughtfully storing the dog food in her spatial storage.

The kitten really does have a secret!

Su Li wasn't stupid. The fact that this cat could tell she had put the items into its spatial storage was enough to show that the cat was indeed unusually intelligent!

Su Li is now 70% certain that this cat is the male protagonist's cat!

Judging from the series of actions the cat took when it met her, it seems to understand the changes in the world and therefore needs her help.

Perhaps it understands that in the end times, one needs a companion to rely on!

After storing all the items in the room into her spatial storage, Su Li sat on the bed in the side room, took out a self-heating hot pot she found in the kitchen, added water, and waited to start eating.

The room she's in now is sandwiched between another bedroom and the bathroom, so the sound and smell of the self-heating hot pot don't easily travel out.

The Su family downstairs were very wary of the original owner, fearing she would steal food. Chen Guifang even locked all the food in her and Su Zhiquan's room.

The original owner hasn't eaten since this morning, and only ate a small piece of bread yesterday.

It was now around 3 p.m., and after such a lot of exercise, Su Li was already starving!

While waiting for the self-heating hot pot to cook, Su Li also poured some dog food and water for the black cat that was squatting to the side, staring at the self-heating pot that was making noise.

Xuanqing is actually starting to have some self-doubt now!

The smell emanating from this self-heating box is the real smell of human food!

It wasn't as he thought; the people here didn't just eat that kind of dry stuff!

So what was it that he went through all that trouble to tear open and eat?!

Why did this mortal not seem to have considered taking that bag of food with him when he took it away? And what he's eating now is completely different from that stuff!
