Chapter Twelve: The Rabbit's Eagle-Kicking Technique!

The collection of supplies in the supermarket went unexpectedly smoothly!

When I came out of the supermarket, it was exactly 10 a.m.

The streets are unchanged from before.

Su Li glanced down at the black cat at her feet, wondering where it had led the zombies, since none of them had wandered back.

However, she only thought about it in her mind; the most important thing now was to collect the items.

The hardware store and the supermarket were separated by only two shops, with a barbershop and a card and mahjong parlor located in between.

The two shops were much smaller than the supermarket. Through the transparent windows, you could see that there were no living creatures inside.

Su Li confiscated some of the barber tools from the barbershop, and also took away two sets of mahjong tiles and several sets of playing cards from the card room.

Even in the apocalypse, you still need to get a haircut, and so are recreational activities. She can't guarantee that she'll always be acting alone, so it's good to have some on hand just in case!

As for why she didn't pack everything up in both shops, it's because most of the area in both shops had been filled with huge, suddenly growing green plants, making it impossible for her to enter!

The hardware store is about the same size as the two shops next door, but because it is packed full of goods, the aisle in the middle looks very narrow.

After Black Cat confirmed that there were no problems, Su Li began the process of receiving the goods.

The items in the hardware store are scattered, but fortunately most of them are on shelves and in boxes, so they are relatively easy to store.

And Zuli finally found a more suitable weapon here!

Several long-handled outdoor machetes.

The axe looks very sharp, and although the handle is long, it doesn't feel too heavy to hold.

Su Li put away the other weapons, keeping only one as a spare.

She tried swinging it; the red and black axe handle was fitted with a black non-slip sleeve, allowing her to hold the axe very steadily.

This put her completely at ease.

Now that she has space and weapons, the rest is up to her to work hard!

The hardware store was quickly cleared out. Su Li glanced at the time and decided to clear out another pharmacy before having lunch.

However, just as she was about to go out, the black cat that had been squatting by the door suddenly looked outside and its fur stood on end!

Su Li stopped in her tracks immediately!

Then I saw something suddenly appear outside the door!

That's a cat too!

A white, long-haired cat!

However, at this point, the cat's fur had turned grayish-white, and the long fur hanging down its neck was tangled in knots, covered in something.

The most terrifying thing is that this cat only has one bright red eye.

Its other eyeball was dangling halfway out of its socket, and that eyeball had turned black!

It was baring its teeth at the black cat, and Su Li saw those sharp, shark-tooth-like teeth almost immediately!

"Meow—Hehe—"

This cat has mutated!

Almost the instant Su Li had this thought, the mutated cat suddenly launched an attack on the black cat in front of it!

Su Li tensed up and blurted out instinctively, "Mimi, be careful not to get bitten, it can be contagious!"

Before he finished speaking, he quickly grabbed his axe and chased after her!

“Meow——”

The mutated cat's shrill screams made Su Li's hair stand on end; the black cat and the mutated cat were already locked in combat.

The two were equally agile, but Su Li's heart was in her throat!

Once the black cat gets bitten, she will likely face two agile mutant beasts!

The thought of running away right now flashed through my mind!

But the next second, Su Li had already swung the axe at the cat that had jumped into the air!

Having been teammates for a little over a night, she still wanted to try and save them!

After all, this cat had saved her life!

Moreover, it is a character that is highlighted in the book, and its role in the apocalypse is definitely extraordinary!

Unfortunately, Su Li's swipe only grazed the mutated cat's filthy tail, which was as dirty as a black mop, and also drew the mutated cat's attention to her!

Su Li felt a chill in her heart, but she raised the axe in her hand almost at the same time as the mutated cat pounced on her. At the same time, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a dark shadow rushing towards the mutated cat!

Zuli witnessed the black cat's rabbit-kicking-eagle technique once again!

The mutated cat that pounced on her was kicked far away by the black cat, rolling several times on the ground before stopping.

Unfortunately, mutated animals have no sense of pain. The mutated cat almost immediately flipped itself up and rushed towards Su Li!

Although mutated creatures lack the ability to feel pain and think, they still possess the instinct to seek advantage and avoid harm as living beings!

It initially attacked Xuanqing because the black cat smelled so good! It could tell just by smelling it that eating it would make its body stronger!

But the two-legged creature that chased after us was really annoying!

It decided to kill the skinny two-legged beast first, and then savor the black ball that exuded a rich aroma!

So in Xuanqing's eyes, he saw that ordinary mortal recklessly raise his axe and swing it at the mutated cat that pounced on him!

"Bang!"

That's the sound of breaking glass!

Su Li used almost all her strength this time, and she could clearly feel the axe blade cutting through her flesh and shattering her bones!

The sound of shattering glass was slightly jarring on the street, which was covered only with lush, mutated vegetation! But thankfully, the sound was muffled by the dense foliage and didn't travel very far!

Su Li looked at the window that had been smashed open. The light inside was dim, and she could only vaguely see the dining table.
