Chapter 22

Chapter 22

Su Jing had just sat down on the edge of the king-size bed in the budget hotel, the cotton feel of the sheets still lingering on her fingertips, when the system notification in her mind rang out with a clear electronic tone, officially initiating the dungeon settlement:

[Giant World Dungeon Conclusion: Host "I am the God of Wealth" (Su Jing)]

1. Overall Ranking: 1st out of 10,000 participants worldwide (100%+ mission completion rate, highest resource reserves, and 72 hours of survival time)

2. Settlement Rewards:

- Ability Reward: Copy Ability (Can be triggered once per day. Requires contact with the target ability user through "physical contact" to copy their currently activated ability. The copying effect lasts for 24 hours and cannot be stacked to copy the same ability.)

- Points Reward: 2000 points (Cumulative Points: 300000 + 2000 = 302000 points) (1 kg = 10 points)

- Space Bonus: Maintaining the "football field size" volume, a new "intelligent automatic classification" function has been added (custom classification rules can be set according to "material type/usage scenario/shelf life", and the materials will be automatically placed in their correct locations when stored).

Settlement complete. Rewards have been automatically activated. You can view details in the system panel at any time.

Su Jing's heart skipped a beat, and her fingertips instinctively clenched the bed sheet—a supernatural ability to suppress supernatural powers!

The ability to copy once a day means that if she encounters a useful superhuman, she can temporarily possess their abilities.

For example, the "fire control" and "speed enhancement" skills I've seen in my previous life are like an extra layer of all-purpose insurance for surviving the apocalypse.

She quickly brought up the system panel and clicked on the details of "Copy Ability": "When you reach the target, you need to maintain contact for more than 10 seconds. The target must be a human who has activated their ability. There are no side effects after copying. The number of attempts resets at 0:00 every day."

"We need to make contact with people with superpowers..."

She muttered to herself, leaning against the headboard as she pondered—she didn't yet know who among her acquaintances was a superhuman. Most of the superhumans she knew in her previous life had only awakened their abilities after the apocalypse. Now, there were still three months until the apocalypse, so perhaps she had to wait for the next instance, or keep an eye out for people with unusual abilities around her.

However, the most important thing right now is to prepare for the apocalypse. The ability to replicate can be studied slowly. We can only feel at ease after confirming the supplies in the space.

Su Jing closed her eyes and focused her mind into the space—instantly, a vast open area the size of a football field unfolded before her.

The newly added "intelligent automatic classification" function is now in effect: the left-hand area has been automatically divided into the "edible plant zone".

30,000 kilograms of giant plants were neatly stacked according to species: golden giant wheat piles were formed into square stacks half a person's height, with the ears of wheat facing the same direction;

Pale yellow sweet grass roots are bundled into neat bunches, each weighing about 10 kilograms; grayish-white giant mushroom caps are stacked face down, with the stems leaning to one side;

The orange-yellow berries are packed in wooden boxes automatically generated by the space to prevent them from being crushed.

The central area is the "tool area," where two basic robots stand quietly in the corner, their light blue indicator lights flashing, indicating "standby mode."

Tools such as entrenching tools, folding shovels, and climbing ropes that were previously stored in the space were categorized and hung on metal hooks, with labels indicating "number of uses/maintenance time" next to them.

The area on the right is a "reserved area," which is open and flat, clearly prepared for subsequent supplies.

She scanned each pile of plants with her mind—the giant wheat grains were plump and not damp; the sweet grass roots were intact and free of mold;

The giant mushroom caps were still fresh and had no odor;

The fruit shells were intact, with no signs of crushing or breakage.

"All 30,000 jin (15,000 kg) were intact; the automatic sorting system is so convenient."

Su Jing breathed a sigh of relief. When she exited the space, she even tested the new function: she took out a piece of chocolate from her pocket and thought, "Store it in the space and put it in the 'High-Energy Food Zone'."

Upon re-entering the space, the chocolate was now lying in a wooden box in the newly generated "high-energy food area," alongside the compressed biscuits from before.

After confirming the supplies, Su Jing picked up her phone and found the contact information for the prefabricated house manufacturer.

The house I ordered wasn't a regular prefabricated house, but a custom-made 20㎡ villa with a yard, which includes insulation, soundproofing, independent doors and windows, and a 5㎡ yard specifically for storing the generator and gasoline drums.

She pressed the dial button, and the phone was answered after three rings. The familiar voice of the customer service representative came through: "Hello, Ms. Su! The parts for your customized 20㎡ villa with a yard were all delivered to Warehouse No. 12, Area A, Suburban Logistics Park yesterday afternoon. We have also attached the list to the parts box. You can come and inspect it at your convenience."

"Are all the parts complete? Are the insulation layer and soundproofing material all in place?"

Su Jing pressed further, explaining that these two aspects were crucial for post-apocalyptic living: warmth in winter and soundproofing during the day to reduce the risk of being discovered.

"Rest assured, we checked it three times before shipping. The insulation layer is 5cm thick and flame-retardant, the sound insulation cotton is high-density, and even the fence parts for the yard are complete."

There are also assembly instructions included. If it's inconvenient for you to assemble it, we can send a technician over, but there will be an extra service fee.” The customer service representative's tone was very confident.

"No need for a master, I can do it myself."

Su Jing refused—she had a robot to help her, so the assembly speed would definitely be faster than the master's, and she could also avoid revealing the robot's existence.

After hanging up the phone, she glanced at the time. It was 10 a.m., just one day after the prefabricated house was delivered to the warehouse. The parts should still be in place. She could go over now to assemble it and get the villa built before dark so that she could move the supplies from the space into the villa later.

Su Jing got up and packed her things, stuffing her change of clothes, toiletries and entrenching tool into her backpack. She then used her mind to check the robot's status—it was fully charged and ready to be summoned at any time.

She went to the hotel front desk to check out, and the young receptionist smiled and handed her the deposit slip: "Ms. Su, were you satisfied with your stay? Would you like me to call a taxi for you?"

"I'm quite satisfied. Could you please call me a car to the logistics park on the outskirts of the city? Thank you."

Su Jing took the deposit and carefully put away the 200 yuan in cash—cash could still be used in the early stages of the apocalypse, so she had to be careful with it.

Ten minutes later, the taxi stopped in front of the hotel. Su Jing got in and gave the driver the address of the logistics park. The driver was a quiet middle-aged man who focused on driving the whole way. Su Jing leaned back in the passenger seat, contemplating the replication of her supernatural abilities again—

If I could replicate the "spatial ability," would I have a second space? Or if I could replicate the "earth manipulation ability," would it save me a lot of trouble when building a base? But I don't have a target right now, so I can only put it aside for now and wait until I encounter someone with superpowers.

Forty minutes later, the taxi arrived at the entrance of Area A of the suburban logistics park. Su Jing paid the fare and walked into the park with her backpack.

Grandpa Liu was still feeding stray cats at the warehouse entrance. When he saw her coming, he waved with a smile and said, "Xiao Jing, you've come at the right time! Yesterday afternoon, a big truck delivered a lot of prefabricated house parts to warehouse number 12. I've been watching over them for you and haven't let anyone touch them."

"Thank you, Uncle Liu!" Su Jing took the warehouse key from Uncle Liu and quickly walked to the door of warehouse number 12.

The warehouse door was a roller shutter door. She pulled it open forcefully, and sure enough, there were large and small cardboard boxes piled up inside. On top of it was a list that read, "Parts for a 20㎡ villa with a yard, 32 boxes in total, including the main frame, insulation layer, sound insulation cotton, doors and windows, and yard fence."

Su Jing closed the door, making sure she was alone in the warehouse, and focused her mind: "Summon two basic robots."

Two pale blue lights flashed, and a silver-gray machine appeared in the center of the warehouse. She pointed to the list at the top: "Scan the list and assemble in the order of 'main frame → insulation layer → sound insulation cotton → doors and windows → fence'. The target is the open space on the east side of the warehouse. Be sure to reserve space for a small yard."

The robot's "eyes" flashed green light, and after scanning the list, the tasks were immediately assigned: Robot No. 1 was responsible for moving the parts, taking out the steel pipes of the main frame from the cardboard box, and placing them in the open space on the east side according to the dimensions.

Robot No. 2 was responsible for assembly. The robotic arm precisely connected to the steel pipe interface, and the "click" sound rose and fell. In less than half an hour, the main frame of the villa was completed - a rectangular main body with a reserved space for a small yard next to it. The frame was stable and at least three times faster than manual assembly.

Su Jing leaned against a cardboard box in the warehouse, watching the robots busy at work: Robot No. 1 cut the insulation layer to the appropriate size and handed it to Robot No. 2, which then used special glue to stick it to the inside of the frame. The movements were precise and there was not a single gap.

Next comes the sound insulation cotton, which is attached to the outside of the insulation layer and covers the entire frame. The doors and windows are prefabricated, and with a gentle push from Robot No. 2, they fit into the reserved openings perfectly.

At noon, the main structure of the villa was assembled, the white exterior wall panels were affixed, and the blue doors and windows were closed. From the outside, it looked like a small house.

At 1 p.m., the fence around the courtyard was also assembled—a 1.5-meter-high metal fence with a small iron gate, which perfectly enclosed the 5 square meters of open space outside the villa, just right for placing the generator.

Su Jing walked to the villa's entrance and pushed it open—inside was an open space. On the left, there was room for a bed and storage shelves, and on the right, a kitchen area was reserved. The ceiling had simple pendant light fixtures, and the insulation and soundproofing were neatly applied. She tapped the wall; the sound was dull, indicating good soundproofing.

She nodded in satisfaction and brought up the system panel—the copying ability hadn't been used yet, she still had 3940 points, her spatial resources were intact, and the villa was assembled; she needed to find a place to settle down in the mountains.
