Chapter 47 Breakthrough and Sacrifice

Chapter 47 Breakthrough and Sacrifice

"Young man, the fighting power of the Spirit Zombie is the same as that of the ordinary zombie, so be careful!" The middle-aged man reminded Han Shuo and then stopped talking.

Firstly, he was worried about distracting Han Shuo; secondly, the number of zombies in front of him was increasing, and he needed to concentrate on dealing with them.

...

"So this mutant is called the Spirit Wisdom Zombie."

Han Shuo learned the name of this strange creature from the middle-aged man.

Through their response, Han Shuo realized that they understood his earlier signal.

Actually, even without the middle-aged man's reminder, Han Shuo had roughly figured out that the intelligent zombies weren't very strong in direct combat.

Firstly, Xiao Zhao's sniper rifle had successfully pierced the body of the Spirit Zombie, which made Han Shuo realize that the Spirit Zombie had little defensive capabilities.

Unlike the first mutant I encountered, this one was covered in an iron shell.

Secondly, this zombie was hiding at the very back of the horde, which clearly showed that it was afraid of fighting and dared not confront humans head-on.

These two points mean that as long as Han Shuo gets close, he will definitely be able to solve the problem!

The middle-aged man's reminder reassured Han Shuo.

The middle-aged man's only worry was that the intelligent zombie might move to another location, leaving Han Shuo empty-handed.

This was exactly what Han Shuo was worried about, so he quickened his pace and had now reached the third floor.

By this point, the zombies in the distance had already spotted Han Shuo and were desperately trying to squeeze through, but there were just too many zombies in front of them, and ordinary zombies only acted on instinct and couldn't express themselves.

For the time being, Han Shuo was not in any danger.

Before they knew it, the circle of four people in front of the mall had shrunk to about 10 meters!

...

Finally, Han Shuo stopped about three meters from the ground.

This position is more than enough for him to make a move!

With the intelligent zombie right in front of him, Han Shuo made a quick decision. He hooked his feet tightly onto the water pipe, released his hands, and, under the influence of gravity, ended up in a head-down, legs-up position.

In mid-air as he flipped over, Han Shuo instantly drew his Tang sword, no longer controlling his voice, and slashed at the head of the intelligent zombie!

The sound of Han Shuo drawing his sword naturally attracted the attention of the intelligent zombie, but it was too late to react.

"brush--!"

Han Shuo severed the head of the intelligent zombie with a single stroke, and after the head hit the ground, he used the tip of his blade to lift it up.

He knew very well that the alien head contained some good stuff!

"It's done!"

After succeeding, all the zombies around him spotted Han Shuo and rushed towards him in a frenzy.

Han Shuo quickly pushed off with his feet and pulled himself back onto the water pipe.

Using only one hand and two feet, Han Shuo climbed back to the fourth floor as quickly as possible, a height that was safe enough!

Then, Han Shuo looked into the distance.

Sure enough, after the intelligent zombie died, the ordinary zombies in the distance, like flies without direction, stopped and returned to wandering around, no longer rushing towards this place.

"It really works!"

The plan had succeeded, and Han Shuo was overjoyed. He shouted in the direction of the middle-aged man and brandished his Tang sword, displaying the head of the intelligent zombie.

"Hey! I did it!"

...

"Holy crap? It really worked!" The middle-aged man saw Han Shuo's head hanging from the tip of a knife.

It's the Spirit-Intelligent Zombie!

The three people behind them were overjoyed, all their fatigue vanished, and they kept firing grenades and bullets at the zombies in front of them.

"Awesome!"

It's unclear who shouted those words, but in any case, Han Shuo's successful killing of the Spiritual Zombie gave the four of them a renewed will to live!

...

"Hold on, I'll come from above to help draw the zombies away!"

"Bang!" Han Shuo pulled out his hunting rifle, smashed the four layers of glass, jumped in, and threw the head of the intelligent zombie aside.

Quickly fire the shotgun at the zombies below.

"Bang! Bang!"

"Bang! Bang!"

"Bang! Bang!"

...

Two shots each time, Han Shuo kept pulling the trigger, regardless of whether he hit the zombie's head accurately.

The loud gunshot quickly attracted the attention of the surrounding zombies. Fearing that the zombies below could not see him, Han Shuo even leaned half of his body out of the window!

Soon, nearly a third of the zombies gathered downstairs at Han Shuo's building.

The four middle-aged men instantly felt less stressed!

"Well done, brother!" the middle-aged man praised Han Shuo.

No one wants to die if they can live, and Han Shuo gave them hope!

It must be mentioned that these people had prepared a very sufficient amount of ammunition; after so long, they had not yet run out of it.

Two minutes later, the middle-aged man saw the open space in front of him again, instead of the countless zombie heads.

"I'm almost out of bullets! The zombies in the distance are no longer gathering in large numbers here! You guys quickly break through to the southwest across the street! Once inside the building, you'll be safe!"

Han Shuo shouted at the four of them.

In just a short while, Han Shuo ran out of shotgun ammunition!

It was a pity, but he had to do it in order to make a sound.

Of course, the results were worthwhile; he attracted half of the zombies.

Without him attracting them, even if the intelligent zombies were dealt with, the four people below would probably still be unable to free up their hands to break through.

"Come on! Follow me!" the middle-aged man shouted behind him.

Although there are still many of them nearby, they are no longer as endless as they were before.

If the four of them work together well, they should be able to successfully break through into the building.

Upon receiving orders, Xiao Zhao and his two companions gradually approached their captain.

Once the four had gathered and formed a back-to-back formation, the middle-aged man stood at the very front of the group and broke through step by step in the direction Han Shuo had indicated!

"ah!"

Suddenly, a soldier at the very back screamed as a zombie on the ground, not quite dead yet, grabbed his ankle and bit him hard.

"Tiger!" The middle-aged man turned around and stared wide-eyed.

The soldier, known as Tiger, was wounded; a large chunk of flesh had been bitten off his leg by a zombie. He knew he had been infected.

Tiger stomped his foot hard, crushing the zombie's head.

Then, he hung the gun around Xiao Zhao's neck, stretched out his arms, and strode forward, pushing the zombies behind him.

"Sigh!" Han Shuo upstairs sighed. He knew that Hu Zi's actions were an attempt to sacrifice himself, even though he could stop the spread of the virus by breaking his leg.

But given the current situation, it's clear that no one has time to amputate his leg!

"Tiger! No!" The middle-aged man's eyes reddened. In the end, even with Han Shuo's help, the four of them still failed to escape unscathed!

Tiger was now some distance from the three men, and with Tiger forming a human wall to block them, the pressure on the three men in front was greatly reduced.

In a short time, Tiger had been bitten countless times by zombies.

Finally, just as the zombie was about to pounce on him, Tiger turned his head, his eyes filled with regret and resentment!

"Captain! You must survive! Tiger, I'm going first." Tiger gave his last wish before dying, collapsing amidst the horde of corpses!

...
