The evening bells of the Zodiac Basement rang, and the dim sunset had already merged into half of the coastline in the sky.
Li Lin tidied himself up and, under the arrangement of Mrs. Kalina, went to the reception hall of the side house with Jace to entertain the guests.
However, neither of them liked this kind of aristocratic social occasion, so they stood together in a corner where no one was paying attention to them and chatted.
"Hey, you finally decided to comb your messy hair." Jace stared at Li Lin's hair and joked in a teasing tone.
"Come on, you have the nerve to talk about me with your greasy hair that you put hairspray on every day?" Li Lin deliberately acted with disgust.
"Tsk, there are a lot of girls in the academy who are obsessed with me and try to flirt with me..."
"And then when I started chatting with you, I was scared away by your rudeness?"
"What you said..." Jace raised his eyebrows, as if he had hit the mark, his face darkened slightly, "Am I usually like this?"
Li Lin looked at him with a look of pity, "What are you like normally? Don't you have a berserker in your heart?"
"Uh, what is Basaka?" A hint of doubt flashed in Jace's eyes.
This kid Li Lin likes to make up some strange and incomprehensible words every day.
"It doesn't feel like a good word..."
"I say you don't have any idea of what's going on. You really don't have any self-awareness." Li Lin sighed helplessly, "Don't you feel that your social circle is getting smaller and smaller?"
Jace snorted. "Why do you need such a large social circle? Aside from you and Victor, everyone else in the academy is a bunch of losers."
"Not everyone is a genius like you... You should slow down and let them catch up with your thinking."
Li Lin advised earnestly, but Jace did not intend to change himself.
"They don't even understand such a simple concept, and yet they still have the nerve to call themselves scientists?"
He curled his lips, his face full of disdain.
After a pause of a few seconds, Jace sighed, "Forget it, let's not talk about this. I can't let this ruin my good mood."

Li Lin's mouth twitched, and he changed the subject. "Alright, if you don't want to talk about it, forget it... What gift are you planning to give Kate tonight?"
When talking about this, an excited expression appeared on Jace's face.
"I recently made a master key that can easily open most of the locks in Piltover, even Hextech chests."
Ah, this...
Are you planning to let Caitlin change her job to become a thief?
Also, is this really an appropriate gift for a coming-of-age ceremony?!
Li Lin's face was full of black lines, and he was speechless about Jace's lack of emotional intelligence.
"Uh...it's pretty good, but you can't just make something like this."

The two chatted for a while until Jace saw a familiar figure.
"Hey Li Lin, look, isn't that Victor?"
Li Lin looked in the direction he pointed, toward the door of the reception room. A thin man with a cane and decent attire was looking around the bustling hall with a somewhat uneasy look.
"Come on, let's go over there."
Jess waved to Li Lin with a cheerful look on his face, but he was caught in time by Li Lin. "Wait a minute!"
"Hmm? What's wrong?"
"Who is that?"
Li Lin pointed to a girl who was also wearing an exquisite red and white evening gown with a distinctly academic style. She had slightly dark skin and wore a pair of bronze-rimmed glasses on her face.
With a happy expression on her face, she walked over to Victor and talked to him for a few words, and then his tense expression relaxed a little.
"Skye, she is Victor's assistant now. You can't even recognize her, right?" Jace glanced at Li Lin in surprise.
"Is that Skye?!" A hint of surprise appeared on Li Lin's face.
Because he often went to the academy to study with Victor, Li Lin was quite impressed by Sky, who was also from Zaun and the same age as him.
Even an emotionally numb person could feel the uncontrollable admiration in her eyes.
