Chapter 210 Iron Man? You Might as well call me Iron Man

After Li Lin knocked down Asiworth and Litton, he squatted down to check their condition.

Both of their chemical protective suits were stained with dull, uncleaned dark red spots that looked very much like blood.

Caitlin also unfolded her mask and squatted down to observe it. A trace of anger flashed in her eyes. "There is no doubt that this is a blood clot."

"...I think they're even more ruthless than some of the bandit gangs my father told me about that even ate people."

Kaisa unfolded her helmet, a look of disgust on her face. "Apart from the Void monsters, these guys are the second most annoying thing to me."

Li Lin and Caitlin remained silent, agreeing with Kassadin's statement.

This kind of guy who enjoys abusing and conducting alchemical experiments on living people is immoral, anti-human, and anti-social no matter where he is. He is a scum who deserves to be cut into pieces.

Then, Li Lin and Caitlin stood up and looked around the surroundings with Kassa.

At first glance, the basement of Oswald Asylum appears perfectly normal.

In the huge underground space, in the dim environment that also reflects the lights of alchemical technology, unknown moss plants are spread all over the roots where the metal walls meet the ground, and various piles of miscellaneous items are arranged in an orderly manner.

Several heavy metal explosion-proof doors similar to those in the patient area on the second floor were embedded in the metal wall, but without the round one-way glass.

But the more normal it is, the more abnormal it becomes in a place like Zaun.

The lobby on the first floor of the mental hospital is in good condition. It is considered the face of the entire hospital and is relatively clean.

The corridors on the second and third floors and the outdoor free activity area cannot be said to be clean and tidy, it can only be said that they have nothing to do with these.

But when we get to the basement, which should appear dirtier and messier, why is there such a big difference compared to the ground?

Even if they hadn't learned from Ashworth and Lytton that this was the underground operating room of the asylum where human experiments were conducted and patients were tortured, Li Lin and Caitlin could see that something was wrong at a glance.

This approach is tantamount to "hiding the truth behind this", trying to show that there is no trick at all, but failing to hide anything.

"It seems that our Raymond Keene and Dean Oswald don't quite know how to hide what they have done."

As Caitlin spoke, she left the two unconscious men on the ground and walked straight to the iron gate at the end.

Li Lin and Kasa followed closely behind her.

The closer they got to the explosion-proof iron door, the tighter Caitlin's brow furrowed. "I smell a faint scent of disinfectant and formaldehyde."

Then, she glanced at a few doors and pointed to the right. "These blast-proof doors aren't well-made. They have to be wiped clean before they can be opened. The scratches on this door are relatively recent. They must have come out from here."

Kaisa put on the Void Helmet again and used the Void Senses. She immediately said, "Sister Caitlin is right. I can sense a strong breath of life within."

Li Lin nodded, went forward to grab the rotary lock on the door, and turned it with a little force.

Caitlin closed her mask again and positioned herself with her gun, while Kassa deployed her cheek pouches and leg armor for protection.

With a sharp sound of metal friction, the explosion-proof door was slowly opened.

Kassadin rushed in first, turning into a shadow, followed closely by Li Lin and Caitlin.

It was strange that this dim and dark room looked no different from the outside. It was still filled with all kinds of miscellaneous items, and most of them were covered with dust.

Kassa was stunned at first, thinking that there was something wrong with his perception.

She used her Void Sense to search for signs of life, then turned to look at the wall on the right and said, "The person is behind this wall."

"Hmph! Another disguise to deceive people. There must be a secret room here. Find the button to open the door." Caitlin snorted.

Li Lin's Infinite Armor has intelligent chip analysis, coupled with "data-driven thinking", he quickly found the problem.

He walked to the other side of the room, to a shelf that was obviously less dusty than other places, and gently turned the hour hand on a dial that could not move.

When the hour hand turned a circle, the room suddenly heard the muffled sound of gears and mechanical parts running.

As a beam of alchemical light dispelled the darkness, the three of them looked in the direction of the door at the same time.

It was a small, enclosed room with a pungent smell.

In the middle of the secret room, against the wall, on an iron bed covered only with a tattered and dirty blanket, lay a burly man wearing a white striped mental patient gown.

He was about 1.9 to 2 meters tall, with his wrists and ankles fixed with thick, rusty iron shackles welded to the side of the bed, and a black blindfold covering his eyes, preventing him from seeing the outside world.

Caitlin aimed her gun at the man in his 30s on the bed and felt confused.

If I guessed correctly, he was the man sent by Baron Raymond Keene that Asiworth and Lytton had talked about before.

But being tied up like this, restraining him before transformation and human experiments, is one thing...

Another possibility is that his strength is too strong and he must be restrained in this way.

Caitlin looked at the bulging muscles on the man's arms, her expression became more serious, and she did not dare to let her guard down.

"Doctor...are you here for rounds again?" The man licked his cracked lips, his voice hoarse and weak.

Caitlin glanced at Li Lin out of the corner of her eye, then continued to focus on the man on the bed without saying a word.

"Doctor, I haven't had any water for two days. Can you give me a sip of water?"

The man paused, then said in a confused and puzzled tone, "I don't know why the Baron sent me to the hospital. I think... I'm quite normal."
