Li Lin didn't know what this guy had up his sleeve, so he didn't dare to directly lock onto her position and capture her.
I’m afraid that by then she will have no way to escape and will drag the entire Zaun down with her.
However, recently, the Piltover Police finally clarified the specific actions to capture Golask.
At Li Lin's request, it was also out of concern that there were spies arranged by Renata in the Piltover security.
Sheriff Grayson did not leak anything about the operation to anyone else. He only reported it to Li Lin, Caitlin, the main players involved in the operation, and to the congressmen.
But for some reason, recently Renata seemed to have sensed the crisis and has gone into hiding and no longer appeared in public.
Even the reconnaissance agents who usually disguised themselves as villagers near Golask Industries could not figure out her location.
This makes the task difficult.
This is the reason why Li Lin made an appointment to meet with Hilco.
After finishing the work at hand, he put on his armor and asked the intelligent computer to inform the servants at home of his departure.
When the skylight was fully opened, the armor's plasma jet device spewed out flames, and Li Lin flew directly into the sky.
Then he went down the Piltover Canyon to the Border Market in the upper part of Zaun, the building where Hilco usually stayed.
After giving instructions to his men, Li Lin took the elevator to the top floor as if he was familiar with the route and entered Hilco's smoky office.
He was sitting in his office chair with his legs crossed on the desk, a glass of whiskey on the rocks in one hand, a cigar in the other, his right eye fixed on the screen of his recently configured computer.
"Have you found out where Golask is?" Li Lin asked straight to the point.
"No, this old fox is very cunning."
Hilco looked up at Li Lin, then reached out to put out his cigar, his face expressionless as usual.
"I heard you said at the Evolution Day Conference that you wanted to create a device that could fly out of Runeland and lock onto anyone on the planet?"
"Are you confused? The device that can lock everyone is the Miniature Runeland, a device used by another professor at the academy."
Li Lin took off his armor and parked it in a corner of the room. He walked straight to the desk, pulled out a chair and sat down.
"The device I'm talking about is called a satellite, and it's used to explore resources and aid in research. It doesn't currently have the ability to locate someone."
"For now." Silko stroked his chin, a smile on his face. "In just one year, you've reached this level. It's beyond my expectations."
"I didn't come to you today to listen to your lamentations or talk about such irrelevant topics." Li Lin leaned back in his chair, tapping his fingers lightly on the side of the chair. "The longer the Golask incident drags on, the more disadvantageous it will be for us."
"Did someone from the Piltover security leak this operation?" Hilko asked. "You know, the shimmer in Gorask's hand has the power to make people reveal the truth."
"Impossible. We haven't placed any undercover agents at Gorsk Industries, and the plainclothes officers monitoring Gorsk don't know about our operations."
Li Lin shook his head and rejected the idea. "Besides, Sheriff Grayson hasn't revealed anything about this operation. The only people who know about it are her, Caitlin, a few council members, and me."
"That's strange..." Hilco frowned and pondered, "Could it be that Golask's hiding wasn't because of this?"
After saying this, Li Lin suddenly felt uneasy for some reason.
At this point, even Camille is no longer his opponent. Even though he has not yet completely controlled the Twin Cities, everything is basically under his control.
There shouldn't be any major incidents here...
etc!
Li Lin's breathing stagnated, and a thought suddenly emerged in his mind.
According to the original world line, the alchemical gas leak in Zaun probably happened in the last two years!
This was an unexpected incident with extremely serious consequences.
Although the death toll was negligible compared to the "Great Collapse" incident when the canal construction failed two hundred years ago, the impact on Zaun was profound.
Under the influence of the highly toxic haze and chemical liquids, not only the area near the incident site, but almost the entire Zaun was affected.
This incident is not only the most depressed period for Zaun in more than a decade, but the economy, people's daily life and the quality of living environment have all declined significantly, making it even more ashamed in front of Piltover.
In the original world line, the reason why Orianna accepted her father's Hextech amplification transformation and became the later Clockwork Enchantress was because of this incident.
She went down to Zaun to repair the breathing station equipment to help others, and even gave her breathing filter device to a child, which caused her lungs to be eroded by the alchemical toxic infection and was in critical condition.
Given Renata's style of winning people's hearts and doing whatever it takes, what's the easiest way for her to control Zaun?
Save the people of Zaun from danger.
But now alchemical technology is being replaced by safer modern technology on Earth, and the accidental leakage of alchemical poison gas in the original world line is likely to not happen.
But for Renata...
Thinking of this, Li Lin stood up suddenly, and his sudden action scared Xierko, "What are you doing?"
He asked in confusion.
"Are there any alchemy workshops gathered here now?" Li Lin's expression and tone were very serious.
"You ask that question... I understand your desire to replace unstable alchemy technology, but it's undeniable that there are still many people who need to make a living from it."
Hilco didn't understand what was wrong with Li Lin, but he still answered his question.
