"What's going on?" Noticing Li Lin's sudden change in expression, Hilco frowned and asked.
"See for yourself."
Li Lin had a gloomy face and directly projected the live footage transmitted by the mechanical engineer through the Internet.
Hilco had never seen this kind of technology before, and he looked very curious. Before he could ask anything, he was shocked by the scene in front of him.
Broken bricks and tiles, as well as dark green metal building fragments, were scattered all over the ground, almost solidified. You couldn't see your hand in front of you, just like the dark night that had fallen without any light.
Amidst the thick haze, the aftermath of explosions in certain places continued, with orange-red flames occasionally lighting up from various locations, revealing the figures of several fleeing citizens.
The scene suddenly changed, the haze became thicker, and the perspective presented to Li Lin and Hilko seemed to be approaching the core area where the explosion occurred.
A huge alchemical material transportation pipeline on the ground was burning with flames, breaking into several hideous holes. Dark green toxic substances flowed out continuously. When they touched the metal ground, gray smoke suddenly rose with a "hissing" sound and merged into the gray haze.
Suddenly, another dazzling flame filled the entire projection screen.
Immediately afterwards, the picture disappeared and the reminder from the intelligent brain followed.
[Mechanical engineer number 269 was severely damaged by the explosion and has been disconnected from the network. Nearby mechanical engineers are being dispatched for support.]
Li Lin took a deep breath and ordered the intelligent computer to continue switching the images taken by the nearby mechanical engineers.
As the perspective continuously switched, more than a dozen bodies wearing alchemist's work clothes, which were in a shattered state and obviously lifeless, were scattered around the alchemical pipe.
Another seriously injured person was coughing violently and trying his best to stretch his hands in the direction of the picture's perspective, begging for help.
Even though there was only a picture without sound, Li Lin and Xierko could feel the tragedy of the explosion firsthand, and their hearts were filled with deep anger.
"Damn it!" Shilko slammed his fist on the table. "No wonder there's been no news from Golask lately. Turns out he's planning something so utterly wicked!"
Li Lin really wanted to say that Renata was the most suspicious in this incident, but it didn't necessarily mean that she was the one who did it.
But then I thought about it, it doesn’t really matter whether she did it or not. The most important thing now is another thing.
"Now is not the time to complain, Hilco, we have to send people to rescue the people immediately.
"I have already dispatched the mechanical engineers from my various factories to the scene. I have also sent the news to Piltover University and am currently mobilizing the mechanical engineers there."
Li Lin walked directly to the window behind Xierko and opened it. He started the plasma thruster and the whole person was half suspended in the air.
"The breathing stations in the lower city area of the Middle Square have been damaged by the explosion, and tens of thousands of people are being exposed to poisonous gas.
"I'll go to the repair station, but the respiratory filtration equipment there is limited. Piltover will urgently dispatch a batch of relief supplies, but it just takes time. You should have some here, right?"
"Yes, but not many, probably a few hundred pairs," Hilco said solemnly. "I'll have my men buy up all the respiratory filters in the border market. We should be able to gather around two thousand."
"Okay, hurry up. Every second you delay now could mean someone's death."
After saying that, Li Lin flew out of the window.
Hilco hesitated for a moment and called out to him, "By the way, about Vander..."
"I'll let him know."
…
…
A few minutes ago, at Fulgrim's Tavern.
Baobao was sitting at the bar, holding a patched and worn-out rabbit in his arms, with a glass of juice in front of him.
She bit the straw in her mouth as she watched Vandel, Wei, Craig, and Milo moving things in and out of the warehouse.
After a while, when Wei put down the wooden box filled with wine bottles, Baobao asked vaguely, "Wei, when do you say we should go to school?"
Wei straightened up and casually wiped the sweat from her forehead. When she heard her sister say that, a trace of helplessness flashed across her face.
She looked back and saw Fandel re-enter the warehouse, then she stretched out her finger and flicked Explosive's head.
"Ouch! What are you doing, Wei? It hurts..."
"What kind of magic potion did Li Lin give you? Why do you always want to go to the upper city?"
"Li Lin didn't do anything!" Baobao puffed up his cheeks. "You clearly agreed to go to Shangcheng a while ago, but another month has passed, and you keep giving us all kinds of excuses."
Wei rested her elbows on the table, leaning against the bar, and said nonchalantly, "Tsk, didn't Fandel say anything?"
"But Vander has been pushing for this recently." Craig, who had just moved a wooden box, heard the conversation between the two sisters and interrupted.
"Go away, it's none of your business, Craig." Wei waved at Craig, who was almost taller than her.
He curled his lips in frustration and shrugged, continuing to walk towards the warehouse, "Don't let Vandel catch you slacking off, Vi."
"knew."
As Wei was about to leave, she was suddenly grabbed by Baobao's wrist. "Wei, are you still holding a grudge against Shangcheng?"
Wei's eyes flashed with a strange color. She didn't expect that she could say such a thing. "What do you mean by that?"
A trace of sadness flashed across Baobao's face. "I know you've always avoided mentioning what happened back then, but I already remember it."
Wei frowned and pursed her lips as she stared at her sister who had lowered her eyes.
"Actually, I know, we all know that Mom and Dad didn't die because of the Upper City. They died in the explosion at the alchemy factory."
