With Spender's previous experience as a lesson, the Alchemy Baron Meeting went very smoothly.
All the chem-barons promised to give up all their power related to Zaun politics and "willingly" signed a contract that complied with Piltover law.
Of course, Li Lin is a kind person and doesn't like to kill people.
He agreed to allow the chem-barons to retain their own industries so that they would not be left on the streets if they lost control of the various districts in Zaun.
However, Li Lin could not let this group of people take charge of a strategic resource like oil, so he proposed to pay a sum of money to acquire the mine where Adrian discovered the oil and the refinery he was building.
Adrian was a visionary man who knew the importance of oil, so he was very dissatisfied with Li Lin's proposal and even a little angry.
However, when he thought of Spender's miserable condition just now, he swallowed back the words that were about to come out of his throat and signed a transfer contract with Li Lin at the market price.
As for the business empire that had lost its boss Spender, Hilco originally wanted to secretly take it into his own hands and embezzle it.
But Li Lin saw through his thoughts and, on the grounds of avoiding unemployment among the Zaun people, he directly proposed at the meeting to take over this part of the industry under his own name, and obtained Lannar's support.
Hilko really suffered a loss.
Since Li Lin had already proposed it, he had no choice but to give this part of the benefits to him, and comforted himself in his heart that the territories of other alchemy barons were not bad either.
But he didn't expect that Li Lin wouldn't give him all the benefits...
During the remaining time of the meeting, Hilco had someone clean up Spender's body, and then led everyone to another clean meeting room to discuss the matters of Golask Industries.
After Li Lin and Hilko's questioning, they found out that except for Middenstock, none of the alchemy barons had colluded with her, and they didn't know what her plan was.
Fearing that Hilco would deal with him like she had dealt with Bonnie, Middenstock begged for mercy and vowed to hand over some of his technology to Golask, completely under her coercion and had no choice.
After careful consideration, Hilco chose to "forgive" him and warned him not to make such a principled mistake again.
Middenstock was so grateful that he transferred his two well-run and profitable factories to Hilco as a thank you.
Li Lin did not show it on the surface, but he felt in his heart that Middenstock was too stupid and had no idea about Silko's character.
He didn't even know how this idiot had climbed to the position of Alchemy Baron. He even thought that the ownership of the two factories could bribe Hilco.
After the previous incident with Bonnie, Middenstock should have known that Hilco had zero tolerance for betrayal.
If he wants to survive, he must have someone escort him out of Zaun overnight and away from this Hilco territory.
Otherwise, given Hilco's personality, he would go to the Watcher's Sea to accompany Bonnie by tomorrow at the latest, and go on a "Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea" journey with the manta rays and sea monsters.
The meeting ended quickly. The personnel sent by Silko to seize the shops under Renata's name were already in place, ready to work with Li Lin's mechanical engineers on standby outside Golask Industries to completely take control of all her industries.
The former alchemy barons forced a smile on their faces, said hello to Li Lin and Hilko, and left with their men.
Just as Li Lin was about to lead the mechanical engineers' operation to seize Golask Industries to prevent any accidents from happening, Voss, who had been waiting outside the door, called him.
"Master Li Lin..." Voss seemed very hesitant. "Excuse me, are you free?"
"What's the matter? Don't waste my time."
Li Lin frowned slightly. He had no good feelings towards this cruel woman who enjoyed torturing people.
The mine she manages, called "Sinking Hook", is a prison mine, and the living environment is much worse than the Stillwater Prison on the small island off the coast of Piltover.
Not only some of the most heinous criminals in the upper city who cannot be punished with ordinary imprisonment will be "exiled" here, but some alchemy barons also like to send those who offend them here.
Once you enter the sinking hook, it is equivalent to saying goodbye to freedom and the future.
No one can endure until they are released from prison and walk out of here alive.
In The Hook, death comes in many forms, and being tortured to death by Voss is only the mildest of them.
The greater threat comes from the other criminals imprisoned around him...
"Well……"
Seeing that Voss was hesitant, Li Lin turned around and left, not wanting to waste time with her.
"Wait, wait!"
"I don't have time to waste with you." Li Lin's tone was cold and his attitude was not very friendly.
Voss took a deep breath and said, "I would like to ask for your help..."
She paused for two seconds, noticing Li Lin's increasingly impatient expression, and quickly added, "This matter... is related to Noxus!"
"Hmm?" Li Lin was intrigued by Voss. "Are you a war mason?"
"No, not them." Voss's face showed a trace of fear, and he stuttered. "It's a, a Noxian executioner... uh, a former executioner."
Executioner?
When this was mentioned, a name suddenly emerged in Li Lin's mind - Dreadnought Urgot.
Urgot was the Noxian executioner who preceded the Honorable Executioner Draven. He was quite majestic in the army and ensured the military discipline of countless regiments.
No one wants to face this guy who has never been on the battlefield, but can overwhelm a veteran with his aura alone.
