Chapter 469: The spear is unyielding, and so am I!

As Pantheon's host, Atreus has a close connection to the celestial constellation of war.

He could clearly sense the death of the Star Spirits, even the constellations had completely collapsed.

He couldn't understand why the Darkin, who couldn't be killed by a war spirit and even had his own body destroyed, would be defeated by a human.

The traces of remaining star power on his body made Atreus sense that Li Lin's body and soul were both very strong.

But even so, this seemingly sophisticated set of automatic armor, which was powered by magic and somewhat similar to the colossus of the Solari guarding the ruins of the temple, could not defeat a Darkin who could kill gods.

However, when Li Lin showed Atreus the giant beast that was over 200 meters tall and had entered optical camouflage, everything seemed to make sense.

Aatrox, who could barely imitate the deity he once was, was like a lamb to the slaughter, powerless before the Tyrannosaurus...

Atreus fell silent for a long time, his brain completely shut down.

He grew up in the plateau valley north of the Targon Mountains and knew that fighting was his lifelong pursuit.

Fight against nomadic bandits, protect your homeland, and join the Solari Military Order of Lahorak...

The sacred Mount Targon was everything to him, and he never set his sights beyond the peak, not even to nearby Shurima.

This resulted in Atreus having no idea about the Hextech technology that Piltover had developed for hundreds of years, and he had only heard of the name of this city-state from merchants who occasionally came to purchase specialties.

More than 30 years ago, Atreus and his best friend climbed Mount Targon to resist bandits. Atreus was possessed by the Protoss Pantheon, and his consciousness was sealed in a distant corner of his body. He could only vaguely perceive some information from the outside world.

In front of him, Li Lin's large mecha, which was ahead of its time, was no different from the legendary Shurima god-like ascenders.

Especially since it defeated Aatrox, who was able to kill the War Constellation.

"Hey, Atreus, where are you going next?"

Li Lin walked to the side of Atreus, who was still in a daze, and put his hand on his shoulder, bringing his chaotic thoughts back to reality.

"You're not planning to stay in this harsh climate, are you? Even if the Sun Disc reawakens the Dawn Oasis, the Water of Life won't flow through here."

"I..." Atreus withdrew his gaze from the Decepticon, "I don't know."

He stammered, moistening his pale, cracked lips with the tip of his tongue, his hesitation evident in his expression.

After learning about the ugly faces and deeds of the war spirits, Atreus suddenly lost his faith, his goals in life, and completely lost his motivation to fight.

"Perhaps I should return to my tribe," he sighed. "I once wanted to become a baker, but Yin Wula said I was not cut out for it."

At the mention of the name Inura, a reminiscent smile appeared on Atreus's face, but it turned into bitterness.

"Yin Ula is the wife of my best friend, Paras. Paras didn't survive after climbing to the top of Mount Targon with me.

"Pantheon considered me a loser who had been defeated time and again, so he refused to grant me divine power.

"But she took over my body, saying I couldn't solve the problem of the reappearance of the Darkin, and she wanted to take action herself."

As if recalling a past event that he did not want to recall, Atreus frowned and took a breath, clenching his right hand that was holding the shield and his free left hand tightly, but soon loosened them and sighed.

"Perhaps, I should return to Yin Wula's farm now..."

His voice choked.

Since their last separation, he had not been able to bring Paras back intact as he had promised.

And he never visited Yin Wula again. After all, it was not him who returned to the tribe, but the divine god of war Pantheon.

More than 30 years have passed in the blink of an eye. How is Yin Wula doing now?

Did she remarry and start a new life of her own with a child who also became a brave warrior?

Would she still resent herself for leading Paras astray and ruining his life?

Or perhaps she had already worn herself out and died young, or perhaps she died in a bandit attack...

When Atreus thought of this, he suddenly panicked.

He really didn't know how he should face Yin Wula, who was now in his fifties.

Li Lin noticed the change in his mood and expression and guessed what he was thinking, "If I don't go and see, how can I know what's going on with Yin Wula?"

Atreus took a deep breath of the hot, dry air, suppressed his nervousness, and looked up at Li Lin.

"You're right. At least I have to go back and visit her. I want to see her one last time. Whether she accepts me or not, I must convey my apology to her, which is over thirty years late."

He turned his head to glance at the mountains in the northwest, then looked away, hesitating for a moment, "Li Lin, you..."

"I have something important to attend to right now." Li Lin pointed his thumb at the Tyrannical Beast behind him. "I've sealed Aatrox's greatsword inside the mech. I'm going to exchange it for God-Emperor Azir."

"Azir?" Atreus was stunned. "Didn't he fall three thousand years ago?"

"Now he has returned as a god, just over a year ago."

"This..." Atreus had a complicated expression. "Then how will he deal with Aatrox?"

"Perhaps, I will find a way to help him remove the seal and then rebuild his body as a god."
