The hands of the Zodiac Base evening clock point to the number eleven.
The crescent moon hanging in the sky cast a silvery-white glow, mixed with the gray haze from the city below that blew in from the Grand Canyon, covering Piltover in the middle of the night with a veil.
Three fully armed teams of elite law enforcement officers, led by Sheriff Grayson, descended from a family's private Hexagon pressure transporter to the lower level of the middle square.
Late at night, the people of Zaun, after a day of hard work, basically fell asleep.
There was almost no one in the streets and alleys, but this made it easier for law enforcement officers to act.
Li Lin, wearing infinite power armor, and Caitlin, wearing a tight suit and bulletproof vest, followed closely in the elite law enforcement team.
Soon, under Grayson's leadership, they arrived at an Ionian-style building far away from the city, hidden in the dark.
Grayson used the Hextech monocular to observe the situation in the distance.
The alchemy technology lights in the courtyard of Takeda's mansion were brightly lit.
Except for a few rooms, most of the windows were dark, and it seemed that most people had gone to bed.
In the yard, several armed thugs who had been transformed by alchemical technology were patrolling back and forth.
Everything seems normal.
"Is this the residence of Alchemist Baron Takeda?" Sheriff Grayson asked his assistant, Marcos. "What did the two agents we sent today say?"
"Takeda has been at home all afternoon," Marcus replied in a low voice. "However, a guest in Ionian robes came to visit him this afternoon, and he hasn't left yet."
"That's not a problem. Let the two agents go back and have a good rest. Leave the rest to us."
Grayson arranged for his adjutant, Marcos, to leave, then turned to Li Lin and asked again, "Are you really planning on going in alone?"
Grayson had been opposed to Li Lin's plan as early as the afternoon.
It’s not that she didn’t believe in Li Lin’s strength and inventions. This was demonstrated on the night of Evolution Day a few months ago.
As a veteran who has been in the police industry for over 20 years, Grayson is well aware that every dangerous person in the city is not simple, and it is common for them to keep a backup plan for themselves.
As a little celebrity in the Jiraman family, Li Lin's reputation has spread to all major families.
If anything goes wrong, she can't bear the responsibility.
Although Li Lin's method could minimize casualties, the lives of several, or even a dozen, law enforcement officers were no match for the lives of a single, exceptionally talented craftsman...
This is the unspoken rule of Piltover, and it has always been like this.
"Trust me, nothing will happen." Li Lin said with certainty.
His Infinite Source Project power armor can be regarded as the most advanced Hextech technology today.
And with the infinite armor, the [Combat Power] on his system panel has soared to 64.
In this small twin city, Li Lin didn't think anyone could match his fighting ability except for Janna, who had lost her faith and was about to disappear.
"Sigh..." Grayson sighed helplessly.
Immediately, she looked at Caitlin, who was holding the Iron Blood sniper rifle, and said, "What about you? Although Councillor Gilaman reluctantly agreed to your participation in this operation, she has set many rules..."
"Of course I know." Caitlin snorted to express her dissatisfaction with her mother.
She pointed to the small pile of scrap metal in the distance and said, "There's a good view over there. I'll provide remote support from there."
"Okay, then I'll let Marcos bring two police officers to cover you."
This was one of Karina's strict requirements, and Caitlin had no choice but to nod in agreement.
After Marcus came back, Grayson gave him some more instructions and asked Caitlin to follow him.
Li Lin watched their backs as they left, and suddenly an idea flashed through his mind.
There doesn't seem to be anything like radio in Piltover right now. Why didn't I think of this before?
But he didn't delve into this issue. Now was not the time to think about it.
"Are you ready?" Grayson asked sternly. "It's not too late to regret now. I'll have the law enforcement officers rush in with you..."
"No need, I know what I'm doing." Li Lin shook his head again and declined.
"Alright." Grayson stood up helplessly and ordered the law enforcement officers, "Hurry up and surround this place. Don't let any fish slip through the net later.
She paused for a moment to think, then added, "If anything unexpected happens inside, provide immediate support."
This was Grayson's last bottom line. Li Lin said nothing more, stood up and nodded to her.
Seeing that the time was almost up, he squinted his eyes and looked into the distance. A figure appeared on the pile of abandoned steel in the distance, and a dim blue light flashed.
Caitlin is almost ready.
Li Lin took a deep breath, chose a direction away from the main gate, quickly approached Takeda's residence, and arrived at the wall.
As several light blue rays of light flashed across the sky in the distance, a slight "whooshing" sound of breaking through the air reached Li Lin's ears.
He knew that it was Caitlin who took action.
Li Lin's movements were decisive. He bent his knees slightly and jumped upwards, reaching out without hesitation to grab the top of the wall covered with steel spikes and steel thorn nets.
With a little force on his arms, he easily climbed over the wall and landed quietly, looking around cautiously.
In the yard, several gangsters had bloody holes in their heads, and their bodies were lying quietly in several conspicuous places.
This is Caitlin's masterpiece.
Li Lin withdrew his gaze, pulled off the thorny barbed wire on his body, and didn't intend to care about the gangster's body.
