Chapter 154: War of the Gods

“You have fallen too far, Nasus.”

Blue and white magical flames continued to drip from Zeratul's fingertips.

"If it weren't for what you did to me, I might have had mercy on you... During these long years of wandering and being lost, your spirit, like your brother Renekton's, has been completely broken."

“Better to be destroyed than betrayed.” Nasus spat out a mouthful of blood and snorted coldly: “Even if you are blessed with divine power, you still cannot change your identity as Xerath. You are a traitor, a slave, and even your name was given to you by Azir!”

Feeling the rising anger in Xerath's heart, Nasus suddenly forgot the pain in his body and felt incomparable pleasure.

"Haha, you're wrong, Nasus." Xerath was silent for a long time, then laughed heartily, "I am no longer a slave. Azir's final command was to free me from slavery and return me to freedom."

As soon as these words were spoken, Nasus' eyes, which were flashing with black and purple flames, suddenly widened with an expression of disbelief.

"This is impossible! Why would you betray Azir even though he pardoned you?"

"He was just a fool. His grace came too late."

Nasus growled weakly and used magic to repair his body.

But Zeratul easily saw through his thoughts and exerted even greater repulsive force on the boulder.

Nasus endured the pain of his crushed body and suddenly remembered that Xerath liked to show off his achievements in front of others.

Just a little longer will be enough. I can already feel Azir's magical aura...

"What are you going to do when I die? Kill Azir and become Emperor of Shurima? Just like you did a few days ago when you sent bandits to recruit me?"

He shook his head. "I can't imagine what Shurima would eventually become under your rule..."

"Although I have imagined thousands of ways of your death, I will not kill you." Zeratul said indifferently, then slowly rose into the air.

"The Desert Butcher will get what he deserves. He will devour your flesh and blood with his sharp teeth and claws, and I will definitely watch this wonderful spectacle from the side..."

As he spoke, he lowered his head to look at Nasus, and suddenly noticed something unusual.

He was too calm, that wasn't like him...

The meticulous Xerath immediately flew away from Nasus, but was hit again by the "Wither" that he had been accumulating for a long time.

"It's too late, Xerath, it's too late..."

Xerath was shocked and angry. The core of his chest was once again eroded by the astral magic cast by Nasus, and he froze in mid-air.

At the same time, a magical flame as hot as the sun came down from the sky and directly hit Xerath who had just escaped, causing him to fly backwards and away from Nasus.

The huge rocks on Nasus lost Xerath's control and returned to their original shape, turning into a pile of scattered rubble.

A hint of joy flashed in Nasus' eyes. After quickly repairing his body, he hurriedly got up, knelt on one knee facing the west, and crossed his hands in front of his chest.

"Eagle King Azir, I respectfully welcome you here in person!"
