The sound of hurried footsteps echoed back and forth in the empty winery.
“Damn it, damn it, damn it…”
Kayinna panted as she walked around in the intricate corridor.
At first, she wanted to rely on her familiarity with the terrain of the winery to bypass Camille, or go to the room where the Gilaman couple were and threaten their lives in exchange for her freedom.
But the sound of the grappling hooks being fired from behind her, the sound of hooks piercing through stone walls and metal, and the sound of sharp blades scraping against the ground were still approaching, making her realize that she didn't have much time left to think about so much.
Kayinna didn't know how much flesh and blood was still left in Camille.
She only knew that her specialty, the pollen of the hypnotic flower, which she was proud of, had no effect on Camille.
So, she now only has one way to deal with Camille.
Kayinna listened carefully to the frequency of Camille's hook and footsteps, and roughly estimated the time.
Then she took out two more electromagnetic shock bombs from her waist bag and threw them a few meters behind her.
In just two or three seconds, the two grenades burst into blue light.
A deafening roar was accompanied by an energy pulse released by the explosion of Hextech crystal fragments. A hemispherical electromagnetic aperture quickly spread outward with the explosion site as the center.
Camille, who was chasing Kayinna from behind, had a cold light in her eyes. She calmly activated the Hextech core and erected a wall of light in front of her again.
"Only cowards run away, Kayinna." She said in a cold tone, her voice just loud enough to be heard by the young woman running away in front.
Kayinna turned around and glanced at him, her words tinged with anger: "Only a fool would accept being killed!"
As she spoke, she threw another electromagnetic shock bomb.
“…”
With an expressionless face, Camille used the hooks on her legs to draw an elegant arc in the air, easily avoiding the core of the electromagnetic shock bomb explosion, and only consuming a small amount of energy to use the adaptive shield to block it.
Then, she quickly retracted the two hooks and shot forward again. The reinforced metal hooks at the tips of the ropes sank deeply into the low-quality metal ceiling above the winery, causing Camille's body to swing forward.
There was still a distance of more than 50 meters left, and the maximum effective range of the energy shield wall she erected was about 20 meters in radius.
If nothing unexpected happens, it will only take another four or five seconds for Kayinna to deal with it.
"I am loyal to the Ferros family. You can't do this!" Kayinna shouted without turning back. "The current situation was just an accident!"
"The difference between success and failure lies in your ability to adapt." Camille easily blocked another stun grenade, her voice remarkably cold. "You lacked the ability, so you failed. It's that simple."
"Damn bastard! Go to hell!" Seeing that Camille was not moved by any persuasion, Kayinna, who was broken, cursed loudly.
Then she threw out the last two electromagnetic shock bombs on her body.
Kayinna had never expected that Camille would come to her tonight, and she had not made any full preparations at all.
If she hadn't developed the good habit of carrying weapons, she might have been beheaded at the very beginning by the pair of leg blades that were sharp enough to cut through almost any alloy.
"If you don't accept my toast, you'll have to pay me back. I see you don't have any grenades left, do you?"
Camille passed through the crystal blue energy curtain and used the inertia of the hook to dive from a high altitude towards Kayinna's position.
When they reached the estimated distance, the Hextech core in Camille's chest suddenly glowed, and blue energy arcs flashed across her mechanical body and quickly spread around her.
Less than a second later, Kayinna, who was about to turn another corner, was startled and forced to slide and roll several times before stopping.
In front of her, there was a blue translucent energy wall blocking her way.
Not only that, several other directions, including mid-air, were covered by this light blue barrier, completely sealing off the area like an oppressive cage.
Hextech Ultimatum!
Knowing that she couldn't dodge, Kayinna climbed up without hesitation and slid under the diving Camille's leg blade.
A strand of long hair was blown everywhere by the sharp wind when Camille passed by Kayinna. It was the part of her hair that had just been cut off at the root.
Having barely escaped from the clutches of death, Kayinna, still in shock, hurriedly pulled out a large-caliber revolver from her waist and fired all the bullets at Camille in front of her.
Unfortunately, even the modified stun bombs using Hextech crystal fragments as the core could not have the slightest effect on her, not to mention an insignificant kinetic pistol.
Camille didn't even turn on her adaptive shield, allowing the bullets to hit her body, sparks flying, and the sound of metal colliding.
But she was not affected at all.
Kayinna gritted her teeth, threw away the pistol, grabbed the alchemy pot on her left shoulder with her right hand, twisted it, and injected all the alchemy potion inside into her body.
These alchemical potions can stimulate her nerves, increase her reaction speed and reduce pain, but the side effect is that they will cause great damage to the body.
This is a common problem in current alchemical technology and cannot be avoided.
After all, you can't have your cake and eat it too.
It is impossible for Alchemy Technology to be cheap and practical while taking into account safety and stability.
