Chapter 18: Cosplaying myself. : Do your fans know you're doing this?
"I'm curious whether your first reaction when you filmed the bed scene with her was disgust or guilt."
Qin Lan thought for a long time and said, "I think so."
Yu Jintang got up and packed his things: "Okay, I'll give you a day off tomorrow."
Qin Lan instantly perked up: "Suddenly I feel like I know how to film!"
Yu Jintang chuckled: "Jiang Yan is also on vacation. You two shouldn't be idle. Take some time to build your relationship."
Qin Lan picked up her bag and left, saying, "I'm sorry, I can't keep you company."
Yu Jintang's eyes changed, and he said in a sinister tone, "Either you take a day off to go out and cultivate your relationship with Jiang Yan, or you two go back right now and film your bed scene."
Qin Lan turned around, arrogantly raising her chin: "You dare threaten me?"
Yu Jintang smiled and said, "Your break is over, the crew is still waiting for you two."
Qin Lan: "I admit your threat had some effect. Since I have to see Jiang Yan no matter what, I'll choose to take a vacation."
Yu Jintang smiled and said, "That's more like it. I'm under pressure to give you a break, so don't be ungrateful."
Qin Lan: "I'll give you a chance to rephrase your statement."
Yu Jintang: "Go play, my darling. Make it up to Jiang Yan. She treated you so selflessly, and you hate her all the time... Sigh... The world is going to the dogs..."
She pointed and gestured as she passed Qin Lan, clicking her tongue in disapproval as she walked away.
"you!"
Qin Lan was so angry that she gritted her teeth and stomped her feet, but she couldn't do anything about it.
The story was going on for too long, but thankfully Yu Jintang had the assistant director shoot some other scenes beforehand so that everyone wouldn't have to wait.
After spending over two hours in the lounge, Director Yu Jintang emerged satisfied, quickly revising tomorrow's schedule to begin filming Feng Manhong's scenes first. A little while later, Actress Qin also emerged, carrying her bag and exuding charm, before heading straight home.
Jiang Yan waited by the car door to block her way, and as soon as she saw her, she smiled impeccably: "Director Yu instructed me to cultivate a relationship with Teacher Qin."
"That's for tomorrow." Qin Lan coldly walked past her, opened the door, and got into the car.
"Alright, then see you tomorrow, Teacher Qin." Jiang Yan wasn't annoyed and said goodbye with a smile.
Qin Lan ignored her and urged Ye Wei, "Hurry up and go."
Jiang Yan's eyes darkened as she watched the car speed away.
Back at the hotel, Qin Lan had nothing to do, so she hummed a little tune as she applied a face mask and fell asleep in a cheerful mood. The next morning, she was in the same cheerful mood as she prepared to go downstairs for breakfast, but the door closed again as soon as she opened it.
A beautiful woman in a bodycon skirt stood outside her door, and she looked remarkably like Jiang Yan.
Qin Lan calmed down for two seconds, then opened the door again as if she didn't believe it.
Jiang Yan flashed a flawless, charming smile, beaming with enthusiasm: "Good morning, Teacher Qin."
Qin Lan was so shocked that her face turned pale: "How could it really be you?"
"Teacher Qin, have you forgotten? Today we're going to build our relationship." Jiang Yan blinked, looking exquisitely charming, every strand of her hair radiating perfection.
She stood there outside Qin Lan's door, and when the door opened, it was like a peacock spreading its tail feathers.
"Why are you in such a hurry?" Qin Lan muttered, closing the door and walking out. "It's only nine o'clock now, and I haven't even had breakfast yet."
“I just came to invite Teacher Qin to breakfast.” Jiang Yan followed behind her. “Teacher Qin… do you think I came too early? I didn’t knock on the door. I only started to build a relationship with Teacher Qin after I saw her come out.”
Qin Lan detected a hint of green tea flavor, but she couldn't pinpoint what was unpleasant about it; in fact, she was somewhat used to it: "What...time did you arrive? Were you waiting outside the whole time?"
"It's not that early." Jiang Yan walked backwards in front of her, casually pressing the elevator button: "What would you like to eat for breakfast, Teacher Qin?"
"I'm not hungry." Qin Lan gave a small yawn. "So, what's your plan?"
Jiang Yan laughed: "Since Teacher Qin doesn't plan to have breakfast, let's go for a stroll in the local ancient city. We'll see what Teacher Qin wants for lunch, then we'll go see a movie in the afternoon, and then go back to the hotel to rehearse."
She knew Jiang Yan must have planned everything.
"No, there's a problem with your plan." Qin Lan refused outright: "The two of us can't be in crowded tourist spots, let alone together."
Jiang Yan said confidently, "I have a plan."
An hour later, Qin Lan silently raised her head.
Jiang Yan smiled: "Mission accomplished!"
Qin Lan silently looked in the mirror, where two figures, one in red and one in black, were reflected.
The one in red is her, wearing a red dress that Qin Lan would wear; the one in black is Jiang Yan, or more accurately, her makeup is very similar to Jiang Yan's.
As they walked through the bustling ancient city, they could occasionally hear whispers from passersby: "These days, someone actually cosplays Qin Lanjiangyan."
"It's probably a hater. True fans wouldn't be this ruthless."
"I must say, this makeup really does resemble both of them."
"Wow, a knock-off Qin Lan!"
The two women cosplaying themselves wore false eyelashes and colored contact lenses, along with thick foundation and black nail polish. Although their makeup was similar to their usual style, their tattered costumes made it impossible for anyone to doubt that they were the real people.
Amidst the pointing fingers and whispers of everyone, Qin Lan and Jiang Yan swaggered into the tourist attraction.
"How are you feeling?" Jiang Yan leaned closer.
Qin Lan said with a blank face, "Thanks to you, I will never forget this."
Jiang Yan grinned and affectionately took her arm. Qin Lan was startled, jerked her body, and turned to glare at her. A collective gasp rippled through the crowd, and tourists taking photos jostled each other: "Look, look! That cosplayer dressed as Jiang Yan is actually holding Qin Lan's hand! Doesn't she have any professional ethics?"
Jiang Yan: "..."
"This cosplayer's acting is terrible. If the real Qin Lan were here, she should have flung Jiang Yan's hand away and pointed at her nose, yelling at her, 'Are you crazy?'"
Qin Lan: "..."
Fans joined the discussion and pushed the person in question out: "Exactly, it's so distracting. Our Lanlan would never get that close to certain people, even if it meant death."
"What 'certain people'? No manners from fans and no manners from the idol? Our Yanyan is far superior to Qin Lan!"
Qin Lan's fans scoffed: "Come on, do you even have eyes? Our Lanlan is a rich heiress, her family background and upbringing are incomparable to some scoundrels."
Jiang Yan's fans reacted even more dramatically: "Really? Then why do some socialites always have such a sour face? Our Yan Yan is different. Everyone in the industry who has worked with her says she is well-mannered."
The two main people involved stood by and watched them argue.
"Teacher Qin, are you hungry?" Jiang Yan handed her a candied hawthorn, while she herself held two strawberry candied hawthorns and a box of crab roe buns.
"Give me some." Qin Lan watched the arguing fans with relish, then took a bite without turning her head.
"Hmm, would Teacher Qin like something else to drink?"
"Let's go check out the milk tea shop up ahead." Qin Lan spotted her own advertising standee. Jiang Yan smiled and walked over, hugging her standee: "Teacher Qin, could you please take a picture of me?"
Qin Lan couldn't understand her behavior of abandoning the real person to hug the cardboard cutout: "Are you sick? It's just a cardboard cutout, is it really necessary to take a picture with it?"
Jiang Yan smiled and urged her, "Hurry up."
Qin Lan looked at the scene of Jiang Yan holding her and felt awkward no matter how she looked at it.
She crossed her arms and firmly refused: "You're dreaming."
Jiang Yan then handed her phone to a passerby, changing her tone: "Hi, miss, could you take a picture for me?"
Qin Lan rolled her eyes and deliberately strode into the frame as she pressed the shutter, walking into the milk tea shop.
"Hey? Someone else is in the picture." The young lady glanced at it and said, "Let me take another one for you."
"No need, let me see." Jiang Yan smiled and opened the photo album. Two Qin Lans appeared on the screen. One was being held by her, while the other was only shown from behind. The red hair and red dress brushed past her shoulder, and were slightly blurred, instantly creating a sense of story.
She was extremely satisfied and couldn't help but praise the other person repeatedly: "Thank you so much, Miss! I really don't know what I would have done without you. You are the epitome of beauty inside and out!"
The young woman who had passed by was flattered and left. Jiang Yan stared at her phone for a long time before finally walking into the milk tea shop with a big smile.
Qin Lan asked her, "My order is ready. What would you like to drink?"
Jiang Yan kept her head down, staring at her phone: "I do."
Qin Lan: "???"
Qin Lan turned to the shop assistant and asked, "Do you have any 'soul-awakening soup' to give her?"
Jiang Yan reluctantly put down her phone, tiptoed around the store, and finally found the Qixi Festival promotion: "Hey Teacher Qin, look, Qixi Festival is coming soon, couples can get one free!"
"Don't even think about it." Qin Lan remained unmoved.
"How can we prove we're a couple?" Jiang Yan selectively ignored what she heard and lowered her voice to ask the shop assistant.
"A kiss only needs to last five seconds," the shop assistant replied with a smile.
Jiang Yan turned her head, her face full of affection: "Teacher Qin, would you like to cooperate?"
Qin Lan: "Let's order another one of the same."
Shop assistant: "Okay, please scan the code."
Qin Lan slammed the phone shut, then handed her her unopened cup: "Drink it, and shut your mouth."
Jiang Yan tore open the packaging paper with a hint of regret and inserted the straw into Ru's milk tea cup.
"Hmm, Teacher Qin's is indeed better."
Jiang Yan lowered her head, her tongue slowly exploring through the straw, the rosy hue appearing and disappearing. Qin Lan, watching this, couldn't help but swallow hard, suddenly feeling a dryness in his mouth.
She stared at her for a while before suddenly realizing that Jiang Yan had been watching her intently, a half-smile playing on her alluring face.
Qin Lan blushed slowly under her gaze and couldn't help but say, "Can you please stop being so erotic?"
If this continues, she'll really start to doubt whether she has feelings for Jiang Yan.
"It's just a milk tea, what are you thinking, Teacher Qin?" Jiang Yan smiled broadly, not hiding her smugness, and stretched as she stood up.
When she straightened her chest and raised her head, Qin Lan, who was sitting next to her, almost had a nosebleed.
"And you still say you didn't seduce anyone?" Qin Lan cursed at her, "You green tea."
"So what is a little horse?" Jiang Yan asked abruptly.
Qin Lan glared at her, annoyed: "I already said if you ask again, we're done!"
"Oh, if Teacher Qin wants to sever ties with me, I'm afraid the only option is to leave the production team. But I don't think Teacher Qin would do that, after all, Teacher Qin..."
"Shut up, shut up, shut up!" Qin Lan was even more annoyed when she thought of Xiao Ma, and glared at her fiercely. Jiang Yan shut up, but smiled and walked towards the door, seemingly intending to continue shopping.
"Teacher Qin, let's go." Jiang Yan called back to her, then disappeared into the crowd.
Qin Lan found herself particularly captivated by Jiang Yan's charm; her eyes were fixed solely on her, yet Jiang Yan remained the most dazzling figure in the crowd. Despite wearing shabby, cheap clothes, she chatted and laughed with vendors and peddlers, teasing a small dog with candied hawthorns. Qin Lan simply couldn't resist looking at her; she knew that when that person turned around, she would be captivated by her most devoted gaze.
"Do you really want to drink that milk tea?" She walked over and looked down at Jiang Yan, who was playing with the puppy.
"Hmm? Of course I want to." Jiang Yan smiled and stood up, but before she could stand up straight, someone grabbed her collar and pulled her forward.
She staggered, her eyes widened suddenly, and then her lips felt hot.
"Isn't this what you want?" Qin Lan pressed her lips to hers, then bit them, before letting go and ruffling her fox ears. "You sly fox, do your fans know you're like this?"
Her face flushed red, so she quickly left, afraid of making Jiang Yan smug. But after walking for quite a while, she realized that Jiang Yan was nowhere to be seen, and she started to panic.
She looked back for a while, then was suddenly pulled behind a wall and kissed against the base of the wall. She didn't really resist the moment she saw the black nail polish.
Jiang Yan placed her hand behind her head, forcefully squeezed one leg between her knees, rubbing her inner thigh against hers, pressing them tightly together, and kissing her passionately with her eyes closed.
Qin Lan couldn't help but gasp and respond, because kissing Jiang Yan felt so good. So this is what it feels like to kiss a woman?
She felt hot all over, and only one thought remained in her mind: to respond to her, to respond to her...
Jiang Yan kissed her for a long time, and when she spoke again, her voice was hoarse: "Who's the vixen?"
"You." Qin Lan stared elsewhere, her face burning red.
"What are you afraid of your fans seeing me like?" Jiang Yan pinned her against the wall, but her hand was still behind Qin Lan's head, making Qin Lan's heart soften.
"Just like before." Qin Lan still wouldn't look at her, her face turning even redder. "Alright, let me go."
"I want you to tell me." Jiang Yan stared at her, still with that aggressive gaze that had once made Qin Lan mistakenly believe Jiang Yan hated her: "What was I like before?"
"I told you to let me go." Qin Lan glared at her without any real aggression, making a small, menacing gesture.
Jiang Yan suddenly moved her leg, grinding it so hard that Qin Lan almost cried out.
Jiang Yan bared her sharp teeth, her face beaming with smug satisfaction.
“You…” She continued to glare at Jiang Yan, a hot sensation surging in her lower abdomen. She had no choice but to recall: “You… deliberately exposed your chest and legs, and then kept waving them in front of me.”
"So, do you like it, Teacher Qin?" Jiang Yan leaned over and bit her earlobe, causing Qin Lan to keep turning her head away, her neck turning bright red.
"Does Teacher Qin like me like this?" She kissed down Qin Lan's neck, and just as she was about to bite his collarbone, Qin Lan finally broke down and pushed her away: "So annoying! At least it's still presentable! Honestly, it's like nobody else doesn't have one..."
She muttered something and hurried away, lest Jiang Yan laugh at her bright red face. With her back to Jiang Yan, she couldn't help but smile, rubbing her warm, red ears vigorously.
It wasn't until the movie started that Qin Lan finally recovered from the dizziness buff Jiang Yan had applied to her. She decided to firmly refuse Jiang Yan's actions: "I'm telling you very seriously, we can't go on like this anymore."
"What?" Jiang Yan fed her a piece of popcorn.
Qin Lan ate her popcorn, her eyes fixed on the female ghost on the screen: "It's all about kissing. From now on, unless we're filming, you can't touch me."
"Okay, Teacher Qin." Jiang Yan leaned over and kissed her on the lips: "mua~"
Qin Lan: "???"
Her eyes were wide and round, her mouth was crooked, and her beautiful, cold face was so funny that she looked like a dim-witted fox. Jiang Yan was amused and couldn't help but ruffle her hair.
It's fluffy and feels incredibly nice to the touch, making you want to rub your face against it all the time.
Qin Lan: "I'm serious!"
Jiang Yan blinked, and although she pretended to be frivolous, Qin Lan noticed that the tips of her ears were red: "I kissed her quite earnestly too."
Qin Lan pushed her away: "Go back to your seat and watch the movie."
"Okay, Teacher Qin, have some soda." Jiang Yan returned to her seat for the time being.
Qin Lan initially laughed at Jiang Yan for miscalculating by choosing a horror movie, thinking Jiang Yan was brave and fearless. But she underestimated Jiang Yan's shameless determination, because when the female ghost on the screen rushed towards the camera, Jiang Yan screamed and then nestled against her like a little bird.
Qin Lan looked down and saw that Jiang Yan was already sitting on her lap, with her head resting on her shoulder and her arms around her neck.
"?"
"Teacher Qin, save me," Jiang Yan said weakly. "I'm so scared."
Qin Lan pinched Jiang Yan's chin, staring at her for a long time, but couldn't see the slightest fear. It was all because their makeup was too heavy; otherwise, Jiang Yan's acting wouldn't have been so flat. She tried to push Jiang Yan away: "I've already told you, you're not allowed to touch me."
"Ahhh!" The female ghost on the screen bared her teeth again, and Jiang Yan turned pale, screaming softly as she hugged her tightly: "Teacher Qin, hold me tight."
Qin Lan instinctively hugged her tighter, but after a while, he realized he had been bewitched again and quickly let go: "I told you not to—"
Jiang Yan turned her head, her lips brushing against her face.
Qin Lan stood rooted to the spot, her eyes fixed on the female ghost, but her soul seemed to have wandered off somewhere. All she knew was that Jiang Yan had come closer and gently kissed her lips.
"Teacher Qin, may I kiss you?" she heard the woman whisper, and before she could answer, she leaned in and kissed her, tilting her head back and going limp in her arms. Before she could react, she had already grabbed Jiang Yan's slender waist with one hand and was biting her hard on the back of her head.
Qin Lan's mind went blank, and her face turned pale.
Jiang Yan might use witchcraft.
Why did she take the initiative?
