Chapter 30: Eating supper together, newspaper story

After getting in the car, Qin Ran kept pursing his lips, pretending to concentrate on driving.

Su Qingmo looked out the window.

But the occasional "cooing" sound still made Su Qingmo's ears turn red.

After seven or eight minutes, Qin Ran slowed down the car.

"Boss Su."

"Um?"

"Actually, I'm a little hypoglycemic. Can I eat something before going back?"

Su Qingmo stared at Qin Ran for a long moment before he said, "Okay."

Qin Ran braked, then pulled over to the side of the road.

"This shop's shengjianbao is delicious. Would you like to have some with me, Mr. Su?"

Su Qingmo didn't try to be stubborn, nodded and got out of the car.

In fact, when you are hungry, you have no backbone.

No one can escape the law of true fragrance!

...

"Da Huchun?" Su Qingmo asked in surprise.

"Mr. Su has eaten at this restaurant?"

“I’ve had their shengjianbao before, but not here.”

"There are several in Zhonghai, and this one is my favorite. But Mr. Su, please don't mind me waiting, and don't get angry. Just sit and wait for your meal."

"?"

Su Qingmo blinked her beautiful eyes.

Qin Ran didn't explain and led Su Qingmo to an empty table in the store.

There are not many customers in the store, and the waiters are mostly aunts who are relatively old.

And she seemed to be in menopause, with a cold face and ready to lose her temper at any time.

However, the store is filled with the aroma of pan-fried buns, which makes people salivate.

Qin Ran smiled. "Sister, give me two baskets of pan-fried dumplings, with prawns, pork, and clams. And two bowls of beef soup."

Auntie looked at Qin Ran and said lightly, "Hmm."

Qin Ran sat back in his seat happily.

Su Qingmo frowned slightly, thinking that the attitude of the waiter in the store was too bad.

If it was her employee, she would remind them.

Qin Ran whispered, "Boss Su, do you think the environment and service in this store are just average?"

Su Qingmo nodded without saying anything.

But dissatisfaction was already written on his face.

"Mr. Su, let me tell you a story."

"When I was in primary school, my Chinese teacher would buy a newspaper every day."

"And I always go to a newspaper stand. It's small and shabby, and the owner is a very bad-tempered man."

"Because of his bad temper, his business is very poor and he has almost no repeat customers."

"Some passersby wanted to buy maps, but ended up giving up."

"But my Chinese teacher is an exception. Regardless of whether he has classes at school or not, he always goes to that smelly old man's stall every day."

"I've run into him several times, and I never understood why he didn't go to other places but had to buy from that stinky old guy."

"Guess what my Chinese teacher said?"

Su Qingmo said calmly, "I just buy newspapers. It has nothing to do with who sells newspapers."

Kieran was stunned and said, "You can guess that."

Perhaps because Qin Ran's expression was too exaggerated, Su Qingmo finally stopped frowning.

"You just want to tell me that the shengjianbao here are delicious. There's no need to worry about other things."

Kieran gave a thumbs-up.

"Boss Su is amazing! He guessed it right the first time and saw through all my little tricks."

Su Qingmo rolled his eyes at Qin Ran, the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.

The pan-fried buns are served.

Qin Ran asked for two pairs of disposable chopsticks and opened one pair for Su Qingmo.

"Boss Su, did I not lie to you?"

"Look at the wrinkles. The chef in this shop has always used the traditional method to make noodles. They are dry and have very little soup, just a small sip, but the taste is amazing!"

Qin Ran picked up one and said, "Let me demonstrate. One bite of shengjian and one bite of soup. I'm tired today and I'm exposed."

Su Qingmo smiled and said, "Why do you look like a shill for this store? And you're making up rhymes."

"No, I just like their shengjianbao. And a restaurant that's delicious shouldn't be promoted."

"Why?"

"Because there are so many people, I have to queue up, and even then I might not get a meal."

Su Qingmo shook his head, gaining a new understanding of Qin Ran's shameless nature.

No one in the company would chat with her like this, not even her previous assistant.

Su Qingmo picked up the pan-fried bun and ate it as Qin Ran taught him, his eyes lighting up.

There is indeed only a small sip of the soup, but it seems as if all the essence is concentrated in it.

One bite really cured me of today's fatigue.

Su Qingmo found it amazing!

So I ate two more in a row.

Qin Ran didn't give in and kept picking up his chopsticks.

When it comes to Shengjianbao, the first one is the most delicious, but you’ll get tired of it if you eat too many.

Dahuchun’s shengjian is indeed unique and tastes good.

But the main reason why Su Qingmo ate so happily was that he was hungry.

Hunger is the best spice!

When you are hungry, even steamed buns taste delicious.

[Party A and Party B] In the movie, there is a rich man who has eaten all kinds of delicacies from land and sea, and he wants to experience the life of a poor person.

The male protagonist threw the rich man into the mountains and took away his cell phone and wallet.

When I went there again a few months later, the rich man had eaten all the chickens in the village and even the mice!

Qin Ran was deeply impressed by several famous scenes in this movie.

Su Qingmo wasn't that hungry, but the steamed buns were delicious, especially the first bite.

When you eat it, your taste buds will bloom and your mouth will start to salivate.

Ten minutes passed.

Two baskets of pan-fried buns have been eaten.

The beef soup was almost gone.

Su Qingmo exhaled a breath of hot air and pursed her rosy lips, as if she had not eaten enough.

However, Qin Ran knew the principle of leaving blank space and did not add anything further.

This way I will look forward to it next time and want to eat here again.

Qin Ran asked tentatively, "Boss Su, are you satisfied with your meal?"
