Yan Xi picked up the chopsticks and took a bite. It tasted good, but it was not what he wanted.
He looked at Lou Jinchuan's eyes which were filled with a hint of expectation, and his heart suddenly felt empty.
Lou Jinchuan was so perceptive that he noticed the flash of disappointment in his eyes and gripped the small plate nervously, "Isn't it delicious?"
Yan Xi shook her head, a smile on her face, "No, it tastes very good."
So why the disappointment?
Lou Jinchuan pursed his lips and tasted it himself. Compared with the delicious dishes made by the chef in the past, it was indeed a bit unpalatable.
"I will improve." He said seriously, his dark eyes very determined.
Yan Xi smiled but said nothing.
After discussing it, the two of them took each other's food to the small table in the living room and started eating.
During this time, Yan Xi asked him, "Does the injury on your body still hurt?"
Lou Jinchuan paused slightly and looked at him, "Not bad."
"Was it done by those beggars in the dilapidated temple?"
"Well, yesterday morning a generous young man gave me a silver ingot, but I accidentally dropped it. They thought I had embezzled it and refused to hand it over, so..."
"So they beat you, right?" Yan Xi interrupted him and smiled coldly.
Lou Jinchuan remained silent, but felt a little warm in his heart because of his care and anger.
"Never mind, let me handle this matter. After dinner, I'll teach you some self-defense techniques." Yan Xi picked up the sweet and sour pork ribs he brought and put them in his bowl. "Eat this, my favorite sweet and sour pork ribs."
"Okay." Lou Jinchuan put it into his mouth, chewed it slowly, with a faint expression.
Yan Xi looked at him quietly, not missing any expression on his little face. After waiting for a long time, she found that he had no reaction. Her heart suddenly became blocked and she lost her appetite.
Yan Xi simply demonstrated a few moves, intending to teach him slowly. However, after watching his demonstration, Lou Jinchuan learned it right away.
Yan Xi almost had a myocardial infarction when he saw the little man copying the whole thing so easily without even taking a breath.
Why is the gap between people so big?
Lou Jinchuan blinked his eyes, full of curiosity, as if he was eager for him to teach him a few more moves.
Yan Xi couldn't bear to refuse and taught him a few more times.
The two men were so focused that they didn't notice that there was someone hiding in the courtyard.
Pang Hao, who was hiding on the beam, fixed his gaze on the short figure. His eyes became brighter and brighter. He crossed his arms over his chest, curled his lips slightly, and it was unknown what he was planning.
…
An hour later, outside the courtyard gate.
The sky was dark and I could hardly see the scenery in the distance.
Yan Xi carried the lunch box and reminded him, "I'm leaving now. I'll come to see you tomorrow. Remember to close the doors and windows when you go to bed at night. Got it?"
"I understand." Lou Jinchuan responded obediently.
Yan Xi rubbed his head, stared at him for a few seconds, and left absent-mindedly.
Lou Jinchuan waited until he could no longer see him before returning to the room and preparing to light the candle. However, just as he lit it, he saw a person standing near the door.
When I looked closely, it turned out to be the senior whom I met during the day.
Lou Jinchuan was stunned for a moment, "Senior, is there anything wrong? He just left and is not here."
"I'm looking for you." Pang Hao smiled faintly.
"Looking for me?" He was a little confused and looked puzzled.
Pang Hao found a place to sit down, as if he was going to do some long-term ideological work. "I saw what you and my disciple were practicing in the yard just now. You have quite a talent. I'd like to take you in as my disciple. Are you willing?"
