Chapter 128 Mao Sui Recommends Himself

Chapter 128 Mao Sui Recommends Himself

Not long after Lin Yi'an arrived at the TCM clinic, her master called her to the TCM hospital.

He was seeing patients at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital this morning.

Lin Yi'an parked the car and walked towards the hospital.

I had just reached the hospital entrance when someone called out to me.

"Lin Yi'an, what are you doing here?"

Hearing the familiar voice, Lin Yi'an turned around and asked, "Why can't I be here?"

Yuan Xin walked over: "During working hours, why aren't you seeing patients at your own TCM clinic? What are you doing here?"

Lin Yi'an asked calmly, "What does this have to do with you?"

After saying that, he ignored her and strode towards the hospital.

Yuan Xin clenched her fists and followed them towards the hospital.

She had been studying at home all this time, but her parents told her that they couldn't get her a spot for the apprenticeship assessment.

This time, Professor Qian was even stricter in accepting disciples than before. Many doctors who recommended him failed to get accepted, and some didn't even get a spot in the assessment.

After her parents found out about her situation, all the people they contacted politely declined their request and refused to help with introductions.

Having exhausted all other options, she learned that Professor Qian would be seeing patients at the Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital on Monday, and she decided to volunteer herself.

If she can't even get a chance to be assessed and her abilities aren't showcased, how can she be willing to give up like this?

In order to see Mr. Qian, she had registered early, and holding the registration slip, she took the elevator to the fourth floor, where she unexpectedly saw Lin Yi'an.

She frowned: "Don't tell me you've come here for a medical consultation?"

Lin Yi'an looked at her: "What's it to you?"

Just as Yuan Xin was about to speak, a nurse walked over and said, "Dr. Lin, Dr. Qian wants you to come in now that you've arrived."

Lin Yi'an smiled and said, "Okay, you can go ahead and get busy."

Lin Yi'an opened the door, entered the consultation room, and then closed the door again.

Yuan Xin stared blankly for a moment, then grabbed the nurse and asked, "Can Lin Yi'an cut in line for her appointment?"

The nurse gave her a strange look: "Dr. Lin is Qian Lao's apprentice. She's not here to see a doctor; she's here to help out."

"What?" Yuan Xin exclaimed in disbelief, "Impossible!"

The nurse said sternly, "This is a hospital. Please keep your voice down and don't disturb others."

Yuan Xin quickly lowered her voice: "You mean Lin Yi'an was taken as an apprentice by Master Qian?"

The nurse didn't answer her again, but said, "If you want to see a doctor, please listen to the nurse calling your number. If your number isn't called, you can sit in the chair and wait for your number to be called."

After saying that, he left.

Yuan Xin gripped the registration slip tightly. One patient came out, and another came in, but Lin Yi'an didn't come out. Her heart sank.

Not wanting to sit there waiting, she took out her phone, scrolled to her university classmates' group chat, found Du Zhong's profile picture, clicked on it, and asked directly, "Is the apprentice that Master Qian took on Lin Yi'an?"

Du Zhong: "Yes."

Upon seeing those two words, Yuan Xin's last shred of hope vanished. She gripped her phone tightly. Lin Yi'an had everything, so why did she have to compete with children from ordinary families for even a chance to become an apprentice?

Why is she so greedy, wanting to have everything? Why can't she leave some opportunities for others?

Just as she was about to reply to him, she saw that Du Zhong had sent another message: "I didn't recognize your profile picture, and there's no nickname. Which classmate are you?"

Without much thought, Yuan Xin replied, "I am Yuan Xin."

Yuan Xin waited for a while, but didn't receive a reply. She lowered her head and typed: "I didn't expect Lin Yi'an to actually become Qian Lao's disciple."

After typing and sending the message, it displayed "Message sent, but the recipient refused to accept," meaning the message was not actually sent.

She was stunned: "What do you mean?"

She stared at her phone in disbelief, then noticed a young man sitting next to her and asked, "Can you help me figure out what's going on?"

The person glanced at it and said, "I guess I got blocked."

Yuan Xin looked like she had swallowed a fly; her face instantly turned incredibly ugly. She had never been blocked before, and today she finally got to experience it.

She only asked one question, and he blocked her? Does he think she still likes him? She's incredibly shameless; does she really think she's some kind of hot commodity?

As it was almost noon, Yuan Xin's number was finally called. She took a deep breath and walked into the consultation room, where she saw Dr. Qian holding a newly printed prescription. He said to Lin Yi'an, "This prescription is excellent. It seems that all those books you've been reading haven't been in vain."

Lin Yi'an smiled and said, "It's all thanks to my master's excellent teaching."

Old Qian smiled and said, "I see you can easily complete the tasks I assigned. Would you like me to add some more tasks?"

Lin Yi'an: "...The original workload was just right, let's skip it?"

Any more, and she really couldn't handle it.

"Alright," Old Qian said with a smile, "You still have to take care of the traditional Chinese medicine clinic, so we have to give you some time."

At this point, he looked at Yuan Xin and said, "Sit down and let's see you."

After Yuan Xin sat down, she glanced at Lin Yi'an and hurriedly said, "Dr. Qian, I didn't come here for a medical consultation. I want to become your apprentice. Lin Yi'an and I were classmates in college..."

Old Qian's expression turned indifferent: "I don't plan to take on any more apprentices. If you're not going to see a doctor, please go out first. There are other patients waiting outside."

Yuan Xin: "Ask Lin Yi'an. We were classmates in college and even lived in the same dorm. She knows about my situation..."

Lin Yi-an: "We don't get along, and I don't know about your situation."

Yuan Xin: "Lin Yi'an, you..."

Mr. Qian: "If you're not going to see a doctor, please leave."

Yuan Xin stood up: "Dr. Qian, ask Lin Yi'an. We really were university classmates. My grades were excellent, no worse than Lin Yi'an's. You even took her on as your apprentice..."

Dr. Qian made a phone call, and two people walked in: "Dr. Qian?"

Yuan Xin continued to pester him, so Mr. Qian said, "Please ask her to leave."

Seeing the two burly men, Yuan Xin dared not linger any longer. Before leaving, she gave Lin Yi'an a hateful look.

Mr. Qian said, “Courage is good, but it’s not being used properly. You keep emphasizing your grades in college. How many years have you graduated from college? Why don’t you talk about your grades after graduation? Every one of those recommended is excellent. Taking on apprentices depends on fate. I’m already very satisfied that I can take you as my apprentice in my old age.”

Lin Yi'an looked up: "Master, you just said you weren't planning to take on any more disciples?"

Mr. Qian sighed: "I haven't met the right one yet. I have limited energy, so I won't accept you. I'm a bit busy this month, but I'll find some time next month to introduce you to everyone."

His young apprentice was too naive. Whenever a young doctor was introduced to him, he couldn't help but compare him to his apprentice. After the comparison, he always felt that the apprentice was lacking something. Since he was not satisfied, he decided not to accept him.
