"Too expensive!"
The man in the black robe took off his hat, revealing a handsome face with wheat-colored skin that exuded a wildness, though he appeared somewhat pale, perhaps due to weakness.
His narrowed eyes revealed a hint of danger.
Su Qing shook her head seriously: "Everything that's expensive has a reason for being expensive!"
"What reason?" The woman looked at the fat man in the black robe with some curiosity.
"You can't buy it!" Su Qing said confidently.
The woman was speechless, then her tone suddenly turned dangerous: "Aren't you afraid I'll kill you? Murder and robbery are common occurrences in the wilderness?"
"Woman, you are very brave!"
He gave her an approving look, and seeing that the woman still wasn't drinking, Su Qing prepared to put the kettle away and leave.
The woman snatched the pot and gulped down all the water in it.
Then, while sticking out his tongue from the heat, he threw the kettle and a gold coin to Su Qing.
Su Qing put away the kettle and gold coins, and also put away the pot: "Don't treat yourself like this next time, it hurts me to see you suffer!"
Those caring words and the tone of concern, if spoken by someone else, would surely have moved the woman, but right now she just wanted to roll her eyes.
Merchants are indeed all black-hearted!
Su Qing picked up the carrying pole and continued on his way.
Seeing the direction Su Qing left in, the woman couldn't help but ask, "Where are you going?"
"Let's go to the city!"
Su Qing replied, "I hope there will be another opportunity to do business with you next time!"

He quickly took out some medicine from under his clothes and began to treat his injuries.
"That fat bastard was no good either. He tried to extort a gold coin from me for a pot of water. I'll get my revenge sooner or later."
The woman muttered to herself as she tended to her injuries, her gaze drifting in the direction Su Qing had left. Her hands paused, and she fell into a brief moment of contemplation: "Speaking of which, that fat guy seems to have gone to that city too."
She thought of the black robes that were almost identical to her own, and suddenly laughed with a wicked sense of amusement.
That fat guy is probably going to get into trouble soon.
It gets dark early in the wilderness. As Su Qing approached the city, he realized that the information he had gathered was indeed accurate.
Two-meter-high earthen walls, two heavy, dilapidated wooden doors, and a few careless gatekeepers.
The city doesn't look very big; in other countries it would be considered a town, but in the Dragon Territory it would only be considered a village.
The area in front of the city gate looked desolate. The gatekeepers were idle, but when they noticed Su Qing approaching, they perked up and brandished their knives, shouting, "Halt!"
Su Qing obediently stopped and explained, "I want to go into the city!"
At the same time, he was conflicted. If he had to pay the entrance fee, should he just destroy the city or knock out the gatekeepers?
After all, he only had one gold coin on him... Earning money isn't easy!
"Nonsense, I know you want to go to the city!"
The gatekeeper, who was in the lead, replied impatiently, carefully examining the fat man in black robes in front of him.
His eyes flickered, and he beckoned to one of his henchmen, whispering a few words in his ear. The henchman nodded, glanced at Su Qing, and quickly left.
What are you planning to do in the city?
This person didn't seem to intend to let Su Qing in immediately; instead, he questioned her, clearly intending to stall for time.
"Do business!"
Su Qing smiled and chatted with the other party without any hurry.
They didn't have to wait long before a large group of people, led by the same follower, swarmed over. Each of them was armed and looked fierce. In the very center of the crowd was a fat man, covered in fat, sitting on a huge wooden chair carried by eight people, dressed in a condescending manner.
"Second Wolf Head, that's the guy. He's wearing the same black robe as that woman, and he's acting suspiciously. He's definitely not a good person."
The gatekeeper, who was in charge, squeezed in front of the fat pig with a fawning expression and pointed at Su Qing to report the situation.
Su Qing gave this person a special look and remembered his appearance.
The gatekeeper, unaware of what was happening, was currently watching the two-headed fat pig, anxiously awaiting praise.
"Well done!"
The fat pig spoke in a muffled voice, somewhat nonchalantly, his attention mainly focused on Su Qing.
Last night, some bastard woman tried to steal his treasured possessions. Luckily, he discovered it in time, and in the ensuing struggle, both he and the woman suffered losses.
His left leg was broken, and the woman was almost cut in half at the waist by his knife.
Having just heard that a guy dressed very similarly to that woman wanted to enter the city, he rushed over with his gang without hesitation, but was somewhat disappointed.
The fat man in front of me was completely different from the woman. Their clothes were different; the styles of their two black robes were quite different. Furthermore, their demeanor was different. The woman was as nimble and cunning as a cat.
