"Your Mightiness……"
The portly old man looked at Su Qing with curiosity and asked a tentative question.
"May I ask what brings you here?"
He had never seen this person before, and his strange attire made him wary.
Su Qing also noticed the change in the old man's expression and could guess what he was thinking, but she didn't care.
He smiled faintly and said, "Please send a letter to Chris, telling him that his older brother, Long Dazhuang, is looking for him and that he should come over as soon as possible."
Upon hearing what the strangely dressed, fat, dark-skinned man in front of him said, the prosperous old man was stunned. After a long while, he came to his senses and his expression became even more suspicious.
The other party could say such things casually, but he couldn't believe them so easily. However, his expression did become much more respectful: "I see. But it would be best if you came upstairs with me to talk. There are a few things I would like to ask you!"
Su Qing naturally understood the meaning behind the portly old man's words.
He clearly had doubts about his identity, but he didn't care. He followed the old man to a private room on the second floor, where the two sat down as host and guest, respectively.
"You claim to know our young clan leader. What proof do you have?"
The portly old man's smile faded, and he became serious and earnest.
Su Qing was not surprised by what the other party said. On the contrary, Su Qing would be disappointed if the old man had actually believed him.
After all, if all the people in charge are like this, the Gustavo family probably has no future.
"You can write a letter to inquire; I believe that won't be difficult for you!"
Su Qing said casually.
The portly old man stared intently at the chubby little man, observing his movements and demeanor, but he detected no trace of guilt or fear in him.
He couldn't help but believe it a little more. After hesitating for a moment, he spoke softly, "What you say is true. I can indeed report this matter. But if what you say is false, then I will inevitably suffer a scolding..."
As the portly old man spoke, he continued to observe, noticing that the fat, dark-skinned man still seemed completely unconcerned. So he changed the subject: "But I trust you, sir. I wrote this letter, but he doesn't know exactly what to write."
The portly old man was still asking Su Qing what was going on, hoping he could reveal something so he could have an explanation when he reported back.
“I’ll write a letter and send it along with yours. Chris will understand what I mean when he sees the contents of the letter!”
Su Qing was too lazy to argue with the old man any longer. He wanted to finish his business quickly so he could return to the city lord's mansion.
He wielded the pen with lightning speed and quickly wrote a letter.
After checking the contents of the letter, Su Qing put it into an envelope, sealed it, and handed it to the old man.
The portly old man solemnly accepted the envelope: "I will arrange for someone to deliver this letter to the family as quickly as possible."
Su Qing smiled and thanked her, then prepared to leave.
"I wonder where you are staying? If you don't have a place to stay yet, I can arrange one for you."
The portly old man, as if he had just thought of something, suddenly spoke.
Su Qing glanced at him and said, "You're worried I'll run away, aren't you? Don't worry, I'll stay in the city lord's mansion for now."
These words surprised the old man. The other party was actually from the city lord's mansion. They couldn't afford to offend them. They opened their shop here, and the city lord of this city was someone they absolutely couldn't afford to offend.
His expression immediately became much more respectful: "So you are a distinguished guest from the city or the government!"
Su Qing's lips twitched; she wondered if the person sweeping the floor could be considered a distinguished guest.
The portly old man personally saw Su Qing to the door, and before leaving, he stuffed a small cloth bag into his hand: "A little something for you!"
Su Qing took it, squeezed it, weighed it in her hand, and immediately smiled. Inside were magic crystals, about a dozen of them. This old man was really generous.
After accepting the gift, Su Qing turned and left. The old man also returned to his room, pondered for a moment, and quickly wrote a letter, recounting the events of the day.
Along with the envelope left by Su Qing, they were sent back to the family.
Su Qingfei flew back to the city lord's mansion, then back to the courtyard, and finally to her room to rest.
The room was fairly spacious, but it housed four or five people, each with their own bed.
Su Qing didn't care about this at all and found an empty bed to rest.
Before Chris arrives, it's best not to alert him.
Meanwhile, a letter arrived at the Gustavo family by fast horse, traveling for a day and a night.
Chris's father, the patriarch of the Gustavo family, gently rubbed his temples as he looked at the recent reports from several caravans.
There wasn't much good news, but there wasn't much bad news either. The one that caught his attention the most came from their family's rival: the Nord family.
Some time ago, the Nord family suddenly intervened in the glass business. Fortunately, the Gustavo family was prepared and firmly occupied most of the market amidst the chaos, causing the Nord family to return empty-handed.
Upon seeing the recent news, it seems that the other side has begun to extend its reach to the northwestern countries.
Their ally, however, seemed unaware of this and suffered a significant loss.
Seeing your message, he pondered whether he should offer to help.
He didn't believe that Dragon Territory could stand against the Nord family, but as an ally, it seemed necessary for him to offer some assistance.
But that would inevitably lead to a conflict similar to that of the Nord family.
The head of the Gustavo family was contemplating the gains and losses.
After all, although the Dragon Territory is an ally, it is located in the northwestern kingdoms, while the Nord family, although a competitor, is located in the Chaotic Territory.
However, offending the Dragon Territory would not have such a significant impact, as their family's glass industry had gradually matured.
However, if the Nord family is completely offended, the conflict between the two sides will intensify, and the losses will certainly be considerable.
After thinking about it, he put the message aside and continued to look at other messages.
But before long, the old steward quietly entered, bowed, and said, "Clan leader, there is a letter here, sent from the City of Disaster. It seems to be in great need."
"oh!"
The clan chief nodded, finished reading the message in his hand, put it aside, and took the letter.
He opened it, and inside was a letter and a small envelope. After reading the contents of the letter, he opened the small envelope, took out the letter inside, and immediately raised an eyebrow.
“Brother Chris, there’s a chance to make a fortune. Come to the City of Disasters now. Dragon King Da Zhuang is here to deliver you.”
The letter was brief, and after reading it, the clan chief's lips curled into a smile.
It's true what they say, I couldn't resist mentioning Dragon Territory, and here they are.
"Go and call Chris over here!"
He instructed the old butler that ultimately, his son should make the decision himself.
