Adnan looked at the map and seemed to understand something: "You want to use this ruin to ambush and kill the powerful members of the Nord family?"
Su Qing sighed and couldn't help but roll her eyes: "How could I possibly do something so outrageous? Besides, do you really think that a single ruin could be enough to wipe out all the powerful members of the Nord family?"
Su Qing shook the sheepskin scroll in his hand, and a burst of energy erupted, causing cracks to quickly spread across the scroll, as if it might shatter at any moment.
Su Qing then divided the sheepskin scroll in two, placing the larger piece in Adnan's hands.
He whispered something in Adnan's ear, and as Adnan's pupils contracted sharply, one of the mountains in front of them suddenly exploded, and a beam of light shot straight into the sky.
Su Qing let out a howl, and a terrifying lion's roar resounded for miles around.
Su Qing led Adnan into the shattered mountains.
The next moment, the two soared into the sky and fought continuously in the air, shouting at each other as they fought.
"How dare you lay a finger on such a treasure? Does the City of Hope intend to destroy itself?"
Adnan's righteous voice resounded throughout the heavens and earth, clearly audible for dozens of miles around. The Nord family caravan in the City of Hope naturally heard it all and immediately looked at each other in bewilderment.
Wasn't the captain supposed to be checking the road?
How did things suddenly turn out like this?
Could it be related to that light and the lion's roar just now?
But why does the captain's voice sound a little stiff? Is he injured?
As the caravan members were lost in thought, they heard another voice from the sky.
"Enough nonsense. This map was found on the territory of Hope City, so it naturally belongs to Hope City. If you want to take it by force, first ask if my old dragon's iron fists will allow it."
In the sky, the two fought fiercely, seemingly vying for something, but the difference in strength was quickly revealed.
It was clear that Adnan from the Nord family was superior, suppressing the chubby little black boy from the City of Hope. The object they were fighting over seemed to have been torn apart, with each of them holding a piece in their hands.
"How dare you!"
Suddenly, an aura erupted from within the city lord's mansion, terrifying beyond measure, soaring straight into the sky.
Instantly, the expressions of the Nord caravan members changed drastically.
Adnan's expression also turned ugly. He unleashed his power, sending the chubby little man flying. The impact swept up the caravan members, and they sped away to escape.
Then, a golden light struck from behind, piercing directly through Adnan's thigh.
Dry!
He cursed inwardly, thinking how ruthless they were, gritted his teeth, and led the group away quickly.
After running for nearly a hundred miles, seemingly feeling a bit safer, Adnan fell to the ground in a disheveled state.
The men he had dragged along quickly stepped forward to help him up: "Captain, what happened?"
To this day, these people are still completely baffled.
"Those goods and many of our brothers are still in the city, aren't they?"
Someone asked, looking at Adnan, hoping to get a satisfactory answer.
This man was the caravan's vice-captain, who had been eyeing Adnan's position for a long time. Now, he seemed to have found an opportunity and launched a ruthless interrogation.
Adnan didn't even glance at him, tending to his own injuries, and said to himself, "That fatso and I went out of the city to scout the route, and suddenly a group of mountains appeared on our route, as if they just sprang up out of nowhere."
"I was puzzled by this at the time, but those mountains were not very tall. I wondered if I could carve a path out by force. But as soon as I started, one of the mountains split open on its own, and then golden light shot straight into the sky, followed by a lion's roar."
We were both a little curious, so we moved closer to the mountain and discovered that there was a small ruin hidden inside the mountain, which seemed to be the tomb of some powerful person.
There wasn't anything else of value there, but there was a map.
Adnan stopped there, but everyone knew what was about to happen.
"City of Hope is an important partner of ours, and it's not worth offending them over a map."
The caravan's vice-captain remained silent for a moment before finally speaking.
Adnan glanced at him but said nothing. Those he left in the city were all his confidants, while those he brought back were either his adversaries or people he didn't know well.
He didn't mince words at this moment: "Whether it's worth it or not is not for you to decide. I will report this to the head of the family when I get back."
The man was speechless and could only awkwardly step aside.
Su Qing watched the figure disappear into the distance, gently stroking his chin, hoping that the guy wouldn't disappoint him, otherwise all the big scheme he had set up would have been for nothing.
Chris came out and looked at him silently: "I just did a count, and the value of the goods they left behind is not low. They may be preparing for a large transaction."
Su Qing nodded, a slight smile on her lips: "How's the auction house construction going?"
"It's almost done!"
After answering, Chris looked at him with some surprise: "But will anyone actually come to our auction? After all, there's nothing particularly good."
To put on a great auction, the minimum requirement is to offer rare items that are not usually available for purchase, but the items they prepared for this auction were all ordinary and unlikely to attract any attention.
Su Qing smiled brightly: "Who said there aren't any good things?"
The Nord family patriarch, who was nearly eighty years old, looked only forty. His eyes were slightly closed, occasionally flashing with a sharp light. After listening to Adnan's narration, he slowly opened his eyes.
