Chapter 209 Recapture of the Second City

The three heads opened their mouths wide, and an unbelievable force squeezed the three people, forcibly swallowing the three splendid figures into their bellies.

The serpentine statue had six exceptionally bright eyes, and a thin mist of blood emanated from its mouth as it uttered a hoarse voice: "Speak your prayer!"

The young city lord knelt respectfully on the ground and kowtowed to the statue: "I need power!"

The statue's eyes gleamed, black light emanated, and a terrifying aura of power spewed from its mouth.

That wisp of power, like a small snake, squeezed into the young city lord's brow, forming a pattern of a snake biting its own tail, before gradually disappearing and hiding beneath his skin.

The young city lord's aura suddenly exploded, breaking through two or three realms in an instant, reaching the fourth level of the Glorious Realm, and remaining extremely stable.

Feeling the surge of power within him, the young city lord's eyes flashed with a hint of fascination. Is this the power of a god? It's terrifying and incredibly strong!

This was his first sacrifice since joining the Church of Hell. The place beneath his feet was the altar he had built, which he had begun working on even before he seized power.

But the effect of this first sacrifice surprised him. The three glorious fourth-level sacrifices also raised him to the same level. If he used better sacrifices, could his strength continue to improve?

The rapid increase in strength was an irresistible temptation that the young city lord could not resist.

What is your request?

The statue suddenly spoke, startling the young city lord from his reverie, leaving him momentarily bewildered before a chill ran down his spine.

He turned around quickly and saw a black dragon covered in scales, holding a piece of dark metal the size of a human head, which was smashing down on his head.

With a crack, the black metal shattered, and the young city lord, bleeding from his head, collapsed heavily to the ground.

Su Qing collected the broken metal pieces, looked at the unconscious young city lord, and clicked his tongue.

That's incredibly stubborn. This is extremely hard black gold, a great material for casting dark magic, yet it shattered upon impact with the opponent's head.

However, the young city lord also fainted.

While the opponent was engrossed in increasing his strength, Su Qing seized the opportunity to sneak up and knock him down with a brick when he was off guard.

So don't get too cocky!

Su Qing learned from his mistake and looked at the statue. This was not the first time he had dealt with a deity, and this time the deity was far inferior to the God of Greed in terms of rank. Moreover, communicating through the altar was safer and he did not have to worry about attracting the attention of other deities.

However, looking at the statue above and then at the unconscious person in her hands, Su Qing decisively held the person to the statue's mouth: "Come on, open your mouth, ah!"

The three heads of the statue stared at him silently, their emerald green eyes gleaming, without making any move, which made Su Qing a little embarrassed.

After a moment, Su Qing pretended to be nonchalant and said, "Do you want some? If not, I'll take it!"

The three heads showed no mercy, suddenly opening their mouths and using three suction forces to tear the young city lord apart and swallow him whole: "State your request!"

"Give me ten or eight high-grade magic crystal mines!"

Su Qing's words were so witty that they made the Snake God want to hit him.

"No!"

The snake god refused decisively.

"Give me several thousand of those divine weapons and magical artifacts!"

"No!"

The serpent god's other head spoke, still refusing decisively, which displeased Su Qing: "If this won't work, and that won't work, what use are you to me!"

Su Qing muttered something under his breath, but the sound reached the Snake God's ears, causing a crisscrossing mark to appear on his forehead. This was the first time he had encountered such a believer.

However, the other party exudes an aura of greed, not strong, but deeply ingrained, which may be closely related to the God of Greed.

He dared not offend one of the three main gods of Hell, so he remained relatively calm: "I can enhance your power!"

"Need not!"

This time, Su Qing refused decisively. He dared not use the power gained by sacrificing others, as it could easily cause problems. Moreover, the other party might not even be able to enhance his power.

"Then what do you want?"

The snake god was somewhat annoyed by the rejection.

"I want treasures and valuable things!"

Su Qing spoke decisively, and the words reached the Snake God's ears, causing him to spit.

Indeed, they are of the same lineage as the god of greed, both being so greedy.

However, as the thought crossed his mind, a head opened its mouth, and a ball of black light was ejected, forming a black blade in mid-air. The black light swirled around it, emanating a cold and ominous aura.

The serpent god closed its eyes and reverted to an ordinary statue.

Su Qing hesitated before picking up the knife. The knife was icy cold in her hand, and she felt a terrifying power gathering within it.

That was the power of this evil god. Although there was only a wisp of it, if it were to be unleashed in its entirety, it might very well be able to kill a glorious peak-level being.

Unfortunately, although this knife is valuable, it does not fall under the category of treasures recognized by the system and can only be used as a trump card.

Moreover, it cannot be taken out casually. Once this evil artifact is taken out, it is very likely to be noticed by the people of the temple and the church, and then be hunted down.

In any case, this is still a pretty good result.

Satisfied, Su Qing put the statue away, then looked around and moved everything that could be carried. He then put the statue in a sack, carried it away, and left.

As soon as Su Qing left the secret room, rain clouds gathered in the sky and a large amount of rain fell.

It quickly covered the dried-up lake surface.
