"Lassie, where is Miss?"
His voice was hoarse, filled with deep fatigue.
Behind him, the burly man who had been expressionless showed a slight change in expression, and his eyes seemed to finally have some sparkle: "Reporting to my lord, according to the news that has been sent back, the young lady will be back in two days at most."
Mr. Bubble nodded slightly: "It's good that you're back. You and I will go on patrol over to the military camp. I'm a little worried about you!"
Thinking of the recent series of petty actions by the Duchy of Roland, a sense of unease arose in his heart.
He stood up, led Lassie out of the manor, mounted his horse, and was about to head towards the military camp when he unexpectedly saw the old man Ruiz riding in a carriage towards the manor.
"My lord, what are we going to do?"
Looking at Mr. Bubble in his heavy armor, the old man's eyes flashed with surprise, and he spoke inexplicably, seemingly with some worry.
"It's nothing! Just a patrol of the camp. Would Mr. Ruiz like to come along?"
Sensing the worry in the old man's tone, Mr. Bubble responded with a calm smile and extended an invitation.
"I'd be honored to accept your offer. It just so happens that I also need to report the recent situation in the territory to the lord."
Ruiz readily agreed, and the three of them headed towards the military camp together. Along the way, the old man reported to Mr. Bubble on some recent events in the territory and rumors that might have an impact.
The three figures walked further and further away until they disappeared from sight.
