Chapter 272 Sending You a Message

At this very moment, the Green Alliance is holding a gathering.

The middle-aged woman sat in the main seat, flanked by an elf and a dwarf, with a dozen or so seats on either side.

The Azure Alliance, comprised of twenty forces of varying sizes, is primarily composed of humans, with the Azure Blade Clan, the strongest among the human forces, rightfully becoming its leader.

Secondly, there are the Elf Guild and the Dwarf Tribe. These three major forces, along with a dozen or so other powerful and glorious factions, are joining forces to prepare for self-preservation in the upcoming upheaval.

Of course, their alliance was also thanks to Su Qing.

Su Qing's previous framing led to the three major forces joining forces to confront the Kingdom's coalition army with a common hatred.

Now, facing the impending orc army, some of them, having previously joined forces, were able to successfully form an alliance.

"Gentlemen, we should think of a good strategy now. The orc army could arrive at any time. If anyone has a good plan, please share it."

The middle-aged woman spoke softly, her tone even, but her expression was somewhat grave.

Facing the orcs, especially a large orc army led by a titled leader, she also found it troublesome.

Upon hearing her question, the group of members exchanged glances, but no one spoke.

Faced with an opponent whose strength is clearly superior to their own, what countermeasures could they possibly have?

However, the silence didn't last. Seeing that they didn't answer, the middle-aged woman pondered for a while and then said, "With just the strength of us, we can't withstand the overwhelming orc army. We have very few choices. Either we unite more forces, or we go and seek refuge with a powerful force."

“Our area belongs to the Blue Ocean Society, a top-tier power with a titled leader. Strictly speaking, we are their subordinate forces. If we join them, we should be able to keep our lives, but it will be difficult for us to regain our freedom later.”

The middle-aged woman spoke clearly and logically, while observing the expressions on everyone's faces.

Sure enough, many people showed signs of interest.

While not the best option, it's a way to save one's life.

"Can't!"

A voice suddenly rang out. It was the elven elder with pointed ears sitting on the left. He had an old face and narrowed eyes: "The orcs are very strong. The Blue Ocean Society only has one title. This small army of orcs has at least one title. If a real battle breaks out, the outcome will be uncertain. If we join them, we will probably only become cannon fodder."

The dwarf elder on the right nodded in agreement.

The Blue Ocean Society is a human force. If the two races submit to it, they won't be treated well, which is not a choice they want to see.

Their reasons, however, have some merit, causing many interested individuals to hesitate.

What are your thoughts, those two?

The middle-aged woman looked at the elven elder and the dwarven elder with a hint of inquiry and a touch of probing.

She sensed something from the two guys, but wasn't quite sure.

The elven elder and the dwarven elder exchanged glances, and after a moment of silence, they slowly spoke: "Our idea is that perhaps we can feign compliance with the orcs, superficially submit to them, and protect ourselves for the time being."

Neither of them were human, so they did not have a strong desire to resist the invasion of the orcs.

Although the tone was rather mild, the meaning being explored was quite clear: joining forces with the orcs might not be a bad option.

For humans, this is somewhat difficult to accept.

A middle-aged man stepped forward, his voice tinged with anger: "If we join forces with the orcs, won't we become cannon fodder?"

"We can discuss the terms in advance!"

The elven elder said in a deep voice, "Our allegiance to the Blue Ocean Society will also cause them considerable trouble. I believe they will make an appropriate decision."

"No need to say anything, we are humans, we would not make such a decision."

The middle-aged woman interrupted softly, her tone firm: "It's impossible for us to side with the orcs; we can't betray our people."

After a brief silence, the elf and the dwarf exchanged glances, their eyes flickering, and neither spoke again.

The atmosphere quickly became lively again: "We don't necessarily have to join the Blue Ocean Society. The Sifu Mercenary Group has two titled members. We can go and join them, but it's a bit far away."

"That's too far; we might not be able to get there."

...

A heated discussion ensued, as everyone was racking their brains to find a way to make a living.

Just as they were having a heated discussion, two guards rushed in, their faces showing a strange expression, causing the atmosphere in the room to freeze.

Many eyes turned to him, all seemingly curious about what had happened.

"Alliance Leader, a person has arrived outside. He claims to be an envoy of the Dragon Alliance and wishes to see you."

As the sound faded, the hall fell completely silent.

The Dragon Alliance? Everyone was bewildered, for they had never heard of this name, let alone knew of any such force in the vicinity.

The middle-aged woman's eyes flickered with surprise. After a brief moment of hesitation, she said, "Bring him in!"

Soon, a young man was brought in and walked into the hall. He was watched by a group of powerful people with strength of at least the sixth or seventh level of the Glorious Realm, but he, who was only at the third level of the Glorious Realm, remained quite indifferent.

"Chris from the Dragon Alliance has met the leader of the Azure Blade Gang."

His tone was calm, carrying an air of detachment as if he had seen through the wickedness of the world.

A slight bow is neither impolite nor obsequious.

"The Dragon Alliance? I've never heard of that name before."
