"We came from very far away!"
The vampire replied.
"So, what brings you here?"
The old village chief continued to ask.
"We're lost. Could you tell us the shortest route to the nearest city?"
"Just follow this road straight ahead until you reach a fork in the road. Turn left and keep going until you reach your destination."
This is the conversation between the vampire and the old village chief.
While it may not be 100% accurate, that's roughly the idea.
What an interesting language! Su Qing decided that once he returned, he would standardize the official language of the Dragon Territory.
You can make it up yourself, or you can copy your past life; it's quite interesting to think about.
With that thought, Su Qing looked at the village elder and keenly sensed that the elder didn't seem to want them to enter the village.
Although they hadn't originally intended to enter the village, but only wanted to gather some information, these people's behavior was somewhat too aloof.
With her all-seeing eye expanding its field of vision, Su Qing covered the entire village, carefully searching every nook and cranny.
They soon noticed the strange building in the center of the village.
It was an ancient and bizarre building, very large, probably five or six hundred square meters.
The interior decoration of the building was also extremely strange. In the center was a statue that looked like a god. However, because it was covered by a black cloth, Su Qing could not see it clearly, but it should be a god statue.
The kneeling figures beneath the statues are women of varying ages and clothing, but all dressed in the same black fabric.
Every woman was entwined with a cluster of thorns, the kind of poisonous plant the old king had described.
But these women didn't seem to be affected.
These women had peaceful faces, and most of them had protruding bellies.
She appears to be pregnant.
The scene was bizarre and absurd, and indescribably terrifying.
Su Qing withdrew her gaze, seemingly casually remarking, "It seems there are very few women in your village."
He was using a language he had just learned and wasn't very fluent.
The village elders were stunned for a moment before they understood. Their expressions were somewhat stiff and abnormal. They did not answer Su Qing's question, but urged them to leave quickly, otherwise they might not be able to enter the city tonight.
Su Qing reached into his black robe and pulled out a bag of bread, which he tossed to an elder in the village.
"We haven't been here long, are there any taboos or restrictions?"
Upon seeing the bread in the bag, the elder's eyes visibly lit up.
This is something Su Qing just realized: the village has very little food, so this bread should be tempting enough for these people.
The elder hesitated, picked up the bread, and said a few more words.
"If you enter the city, do not join any gangs, and it is best not to talk to anyone."
After saying this, the elder led most of the people away, leaving only a group of young and strong men behind.
They seemed to be watching them, probably worried that they might break into the village.
Although they didn't care about these ordinary people, they were very wary of the invisible curse emanating from them.
They didn't linger, exchanged a glance, and then left.
...
A space has been cleared out, with a round table, six chairs, and four people sitting there.
The God of Light tapped his fingers lightly on the table, his expression unchanged: "It has been almost a thousand years since the last divine war. The next battle is about to begin, and the cleanup of the forbidden area is imperative."
"Although we have united with the elves, dwarves, dragons and other races, it is uncertain how much effort they will put in."
"It mainly depends on us!"
The God of War opened his eyes, his gaze burning with fighting spirit.
His fighting spirit has burned ever since the day he became a god, and if it were to be extinguished one day, it would mean the time for his death.
"The Strait of Death, the Eternal Cave, the Gate of the Dead, the Valley of No Light!"
The God of War uttered these four names one after another.
"We must deal with them this time, or they will become the biggest variable in the next war of gods."
"The dragons should also be on guard; those two old guys didn't make a move last time."
"However, that old fellow from the Silver Dragon Clan should be dying soon, as no king has emerged from this generation of the Silver Dragon Clan."
A man whose entire body shimmered with a silvery-white light spoke.
If that old fellow of the Silver Dragon Clan were still healthy, he could create a king for the clan with just a drop of his essence blood.
And since he hasn't done so for so long, it's highly likely that it's no longer feasible.
"Even the God of Life must heed this!"
A small, overlooked figure spoke up, staring with innocent, large eyes; it was a little girl of seven or eight years old.
However, he sat at the same table as three other superior gods.
"By the way, the Cursed Kingdom! Is it really appropriate to let them explore it now? I'm worried about causing some accidents."
The silver-clad man spoke with a hint of worry.
"Don't forget, the six gods of the Curse lineage were killed there."
"The dangers there are far more complex than they appear on the surface. It's just that the six divine wills are mutually restraining each other, which makes it seem safer than other forbidden areas."
"However, I heard from that guy Dark that the six divine wills of the Cursed Kingdom seem to be about to decide a winner."
"Then why don't we let those little guys test the waters for us?"
The God of Light said with a smile.
"Forget about those trivial matters. We must win this millennium war. Perhaps with this victory, one of us will be able to take that step."
The others nodded slightly upon hearing this, and their eyes visibly brightened when the conversation turned to taking that step.
The silver-clad man raised his hand, and the four figures vanished together, plunging the entire space into silence, awaiting its next opening.
After walking for a short while, Su Qing and the vampire saw the city in front of them.
The vampire hadn't felt this way in the village, but now that he was facing a city, he stroked his chin.
"This style has the feel of a thousand years ago."
The city walls, made of black bricks and stones, are filled with a distinct dark tone, making them appear solemn and dignified.
It is completely different from the current architectural style.
There were very few pedestrians coming and going in front of the city gate; most of them were entering the city, and very few were leaving.
There were no soldiers at the city gate, but the two gates were entangled in vines.
After carefully observing and confirming that there was nothing unusual, Su Qing and the vampire cautiously entered the city.
Once inside the city, it was quite lively.
The streets are filled with pedestrians, and there are shops and buildings on both sides, all in the style of a thousand years ago.
What's surprising is that everyone here has a strip of cloth tied around their shoulder, and there are roughly six different colors.
People of different colors stared at each other, seemingly quite hostile.
This has created some interesting scenarios.
On a certain street, six shoe shiners stood in a row, each with a strip of cloth of a different color on their shoulders.
Most of the people who come to them for shoe shining are people of the same color.
"It seems that the city is divided into six factions."
The vampire muttered to himself.
Su Qing glanced at him; even a fool could see that.
