Chapter 337 Release

Around the palace, stone statues stood tall, their expressions conveying a sense of solemn readiness.

Su Qing circled the stone statues and was somewhat surprised to find that there was not much residual curse power on them.

He placed his claws on one of the stone statues, and the power seeped into it, causing the statue's eyes to narrow quickly.

Something's not right. This isn't a stone statue, or rather, it's a stone statue made from a person.

Because the internal structure of these stone statues is exactly the same as the internal organs of the human body, it is impossible to carve them.

These stone statues are guarding this palace!

Su Qing wanted to pass over these stone statues to enter the palace, but as soon as she arrived above them, the eyes of all the statues lit up at the same time, and a golden light curtain enveloped the palace.

Su Qing was thrown into the air, spun around a few times, shook her head, and looked at the stone statues with some seriousness.

How could it turn to stone and, after all this time, still protect the palace?

Or there may be other reasons as well.

Su Qing looked at the feet of the stone statues, turned their locations into dots, and connected them.

An intricate, mysterious, and unpredictable formation was formed.

Due to the formation, coupled with their own will and strength.

These people must be the strongmen of this empire.

No wonder, I was wondering how a great empire could not even find a decent strongman.

Most of these hundreds of people are probably at the pinnacle of their careers, with a few possibly even being kings.

Something that so many powerful people risked their lives to protect.

Su Qing licked her lips, her eyes shining brightly.

Sure enough, there's something good.

He suddenly accelerated in mid-air, his skills lighting up one after another, his whole body enveloped in lightning, and golden light shimmering at the tips of his wings.

It smashed directly onto the protective shield and shattered with a loud bang.

After a long period of corrosion, this protective shield has lost its former power.

As the protective shield shattered, Su Qing darted into the palace with lightning speed.

The palace was empty except for a throne at the highest point.

There was a person sitting there.

Su Qing glanced at it, then turned around and started cursing as she tried to leave.

Damn it, there's nothing good here again!

Halfway there, Su Qing turned back and looked closely at the person sitting there.

Despite his frustration, he continued to observe carefully.

The man was probably in his thirties, and his appearance was that of someone in his prime. He had a peaceful expression, wore a crown, held a scepter in his left hand, and a parchment scroll in his right.

On his desk lay a dull, seven-colored gemstone, with arrays inscribed on its surface.

Su Qing examined it carefully and confirmed that this formation was exactly the same as the formation made up of the stone statues outside.

Inside and outside, this stone and the formation seem to be a set.

Su Qing picked up the stone and examined it for a long time but couldn't figure out what it was made of, though it probably wouldn't be cheap.

Just as I was about to put it away, a voice rang out: "Hello!"

Su Qing suddenly looked up and saw the man on the throne open his eyes and smile at him.

The hairs on her body stood on end, and Su Qing narrowed her eyes, staring intently at the man.

The other person had a peaceful expression, with no murderous intent in their eyes. Instead, they seemed to have just woken up from a long sleep and encountered something interesting.

"A dragon? A black dragon? Do you know the Black Dragon King?"

The man wearing the crown asked with great interest.

Su Qing didn't answer, but instead squinted and asked, "Who are you?"

The man chuckled: "I am the king. No, sorry, I forgot my country was destroyed."

"I should be considered... um..."

The man pondered for a moment, then suddenly smiled: "A commoner!"

"Isn't that what people without any identity are called?"

"Sorry, I slept for too long, and my brain isn't working too well."

The man stood up, and an aura of pressure emanated from him.

Su Qing's pupils trembled.

He felt a terrifying pressure emanating from the other person; it wasn't a god, but the feeling was similar to that of his grandfather.

A king who rivals the gods.

As the man stood up, he seemed to be sensing the power within him, but finally sighed, "Without the key of divinity, it seems impossible to unlock the final shackles on my body!"

"The last sustenance of an entire nation, spanning a thousand years, has only brought me to this point."

Su Qing, that man, carefully crafted his words: "You have sacrificed everyone in this country."

"No!"

The man shook his head: "They were killed by the Temple of War and the Church of Light."

Su Qing was stunned; this was an answer he hadn't expected.

He considered that the other party might say yes, and he also considered that the other party might say that those people were killed by a curse.

But the problem lies with the Temple of War and the Church of Light?

It must be referring to temples and the Papacy, right?

These two core human factions seem to have played some extremely disgraceful role.

"Don't you know?"

The man smiled, a bright and sunny smile: "In my country, they killed six cursed gods."

"They couldn't possibly have been unaware of the consequences, yet they concealed the information until it was too late."

"Do you see those stone statues outside?"

The man smiled.

“That was the last strength of this country. They could have chosen to leave, but they all chose to stay and used their last strength to build this formation in your hands.”

"This is a protective formation, but it is also a sacrificial formation."

"The person who builds the formation will sacrifice all their power to the core of the formation, which is me."
