Walking through the passageway, nearing the fifth floor, before even officially stepping inside, the faint weeping sent chills down my spine.
"Waaaaah! Three hundred years! I've waited so long! Waaaaah!"
The sorrow in the cries made the hairs on Su Qing's body stand on end.
I couldn't help but stop and listen to the crying from the fifth floor. It was a man's voice, the crying was mournful and heartfelt.
"Waaaaah! Waaaaah! Waaaaah!"
The faint sobbing continued, and Su Qing waited in the passageway.
He had planned to wait until the crying stopped before going in, but he soon realized that he couldn't outlast him.
As time passed, the crying did not stop; instead, it grew louder and more mournful, as if it were trying to release years of sorrow in one breath.
Su Qing carefully entered the fifth floor, and was immediately shocked. The fifth floor was similar to the first and second floors, but much larger.
A coffin sat in the center, with a large yellow dog lying beside it. The crying came from the dog's mouth, and a sense of sorrow emanated from it, coloring the air with sadness.
"Waaaaah! 300 years! I've finally waited for someone who can inherit my master's legacy!"
The big yellow dog turned around with tears streaming down its face, but stopped crying abruptly when it saw Su Qing.
The big yellow dog wiped away the tears from the corners of its eyes, looked at Su Qing in surprise, and then looked behind Su Qing.
"Not human?"
The big yellow dog looked disappointed, and its face drooped.
Although Su Qing knew the dog was telling the truth, she was still furious.
What do you mean by "not human"? Can this dog watch its mouth?!
Don't you know you'll get beaten up for talking like that?
Su Qing noticed the aura emanating from the big yellow dog; it was obscure and difficult to discern, yet it concealed a hint of great terror.
I don't think I can beat it, so never mind!
Su Qing chuckled and leaned closer: "Senior, I guess I've cleared the level now!"
Perhaps it's because we waited 300 years, and in the end, we got a dragon!
The big yellow dog said irritably, "So what if you cleared the game? You're not human, so I can't give you my master's legacy!"
Su Qing looked at the yellow dog in surprise: "Your owner stipulated that only humans can receive the inheritance?"
"No!"
The yellow dog shook its head. Its master had instructed it before his death that if the visitors were elves or dwarves, and if they met the requirements, the inheritance could be handed over.
"So your master discriminates against dragons?"
"No!"
The yellow dog shook its head again.
"That works!"
Su Qing smiled broadly, appearing to have delicate features.
The big yellow dog still shook its head: "My master said that his successor must possess the qualities and spirit of a knight!"
Su Qing immediately patted his chest: "I possess the qualities of a knight!"
The big yellow dog glanced at the dragon, then quickly brought back a crystal ball, slapped it hard, and soon the scene appeared.
"I haven't used it in so long, I'm worried it'll break!"
The scene inside quickly reflected the scene when Su Qing went through the first trial.
Only then did the old yellow dog notice the things behind Su Qing.
"These puppets are already broken anyway, I'll take them and deal with them for you!"
Su Qing explained earnestly, worried that the big yellow dog might misunderstand her as the kind of dragon who would pluck feathers from a passing goose.
The old yellow dog continued to lower its head, and the scene of the second level appeared.
"That guy was too careless. He didn't take my strength seriously and attacked recklessly!"
Su Qing explained again, worried that the big yellow dog would misunderstand her as a dragon who bullies the weak and pretends to be weak to take advantage of others.
The old yellow dog gave him a deep look, then lowered its head again.
The scene shifted, and Chris appeared.
Are you called Chris?
...
"Then do you have a sworn brother named Long Dazhuang, who is a black dragon?"
...
"We are sworn brothers! May I ask, senior..."
Seeing the scene that followed, where Chris was brutally beaten, Su Qing felt she had to explain: "I didn't expect that guy to take revenge. If I had known, I would never have exposed my relationship with my brother."
The old yellow dog glanced at him and nodded to indicate that it believed him.
After all, who would betray their sworn brother? That would be utterly despicable!
The scene of the third level appears...
"I didn't know this would cause my brother so much trouble. If I had known..."
Su Qing looked extremely guilty, feeling that this was very wrong.
If he had known earlier, he definitely wouldn't have let that guy come.
The old yellow dog nodded, indicating that it believed it too.
The scene of the fourth level appears...
Su Qing and the old king stood in the palace.
...
"Then what can you give me?"
...
Do you even believe that yourself?
...
"I may have a sharp tongue, but I have a kind heart. See, I still went to rescue the princess, didn't I?"
"Besides, the king sent me to rescue the princess, and my request was reasonable. Doesn't that align with the chivalrous qualities of a knight?"
The scene inside the crystal ball continued to evolve.
"Now it's a robbery, men stand on the left, women stand on the right, and those who are neither men nor women stand in the middle!"
...
“Such a precious thing as the golden apple would definitely be coveted by bad people if it were left here. I took it to attract their attention and protect them from being harmed by bad people. What a great spirit of self-sacrifice.”
"And did you notice that I didn't hurt any of them, and I didn't cut down any trees either!"
The old yellow dog thought about it seriously and felt it made a lot of sense.
