"Yilian!"
A kind smile appeared on the old king's face as he reached out and beckoned his youngest daughter to his side, affectionately stroking her head.
With a sweet smile on her face, the girl picked up the soup and placed it in front of the old king.
A hint of pity flashed in the old king's eyes.
He didn't know what was wrong. Maybe it was because his daughter had caught a cold last time, but suddenly she couldn't speak.
How could he not be heartbroken to lose his beloved daughter's voice?
With a slight sigh, the old king shifted his gaze to the bowl of soup in front of him and gently sniffed it.
The aroma was so strong that it whetted his appetite. He picked up the soup spoon, and a ring on his little finger silently gleamed before quickly losing its luster.
This is a magical item with a simple function: to check for poison.
Of course there was no poison. The old king found his own caution laughable. Could his most beloved daughter possibly harm him?
After drinking the soup, the girl's eyes curved into crescent moons with laughter. She chatted with the old king for a while before leaving with the soup bowl.
Watching his daughter leave, the old king's smile was faint, and he seemed to be in a much better mood.
After savoring the taste, I realized that the soup was really good; my daughter's cooking skills had improved even more than before.
I wonder which bastard will be so lucky as to marry his daughter.
His smile held a hint of helplessness; at that moment, he resembled a true father.
But his daughter, at this moment, did not seem like a real daughter.
After leaving the room, the princess's smile became even brighter, almost unbelievably bright.
The medicine worked better than she had imagined; the man was already on his last legs.
But we can't let him die yet!
There are still two stumbling blocks she needs to remove.
Originally, this girl only wanted to reclaim what belonged to her, but now she has a greater ambition.
She wanted to be a king, a female king.
Darkness spread from her heart, gradually engulfing the girl.
Northwest of the chaotic zone!
The land where the Gustavo family resided was a magnificent and prosperous city, more prosperous than most cities in the northwestern kingdoms.
The defenses were also more stringent. At this moment, it was noon, and only the east gate of the four city gates was open. An elite squad of over a hundred men was stationed there, patrolling all those entering and leaving the city.
Chaos Territory is truly chaotic; murder, robbery, and the extermination of entire families are common occurrences. Profit has spawned many terrifying monsters here.
Although the Gustavo family is a business family, they actually have many enemies, and this kind of strict guarding is something they do almost every day.
Da da da!
Yellow smoke billowed in the distance, and a group of people quickly approached.
Someone observed this scene, relayed the message, the city gates were closed, and the hundred-man squad instantly went into battle.
It wasn't until I could clearly see the flags being waved by that group, their leader, and the faces of each person in that group.
The city gates were reopened, and Frans gestured for the caravan to slow down.
After the hundred-man squad finished their inspection, the squad leader approached with a smile: "Young Master, Butler Frans, please don't blame me, we're just following the rules!"
Chris ignored him, and Frans didn't really care either. He waved his hand, signaling his caravan to prepare to go in.
After entering the city, the caravan headed straight for the family mansion in the city center.
A middle-aged man in his forties sat in the main seat, his eyes half-closed, exuding an air of authority without anger.
Two footsteps sounded, and the middle-aged man opened his eyes.
Before the two travel-worn men, Frans knelt and bowed, saying, "Greetings, Master!"
The middle-aged man nodded, closing his eyes again: "How was it this time?"
"all the best!"
Frans quickly replied, "Also, there is another business deal that I dare not make a decision on my own. Please, Master, make the decision!"
"oh!"
The middle-aged man opened his eyes again, a hint of interest in his expression: "If you don't dare to make a decision, it must be a big deal!"
Frans nodded, and at the same time took out a glass from his pocket, wrapped in sheepskin, as if afraid of scratching it.
Upon seeing the glass, the middle-aged man reached out and took it, examining it carefully in his palm, his eyes gleaming.
Frans quickly recounted what he knew and the details of his business dealings with the other party.
At the same time, she looked at the middle-aged man with concern, fearing that he would blame her for not getting the lion's share of the deal.
The middle-aged man nodded slightly after listening: "Well done, let's make the arrangements, we can cooperate!"
Frans nodded, breathed a sigh of relief, and bowed as he withdrew.
Only the father and son remained in the room. Since returning, Chris had not uttered a word, only keeping his head slightly lowered.
Seeing his son's expression, the middle-aged man's lips curled into a slight smile: "Have you finished your business?"
Chris was stunned, looking at his father with disbelief.
The middle-aged man scoffed, "You're my son, do you think I can't tell what you're thinking?"
"You always disagreed when I asked you to learn business, but you agreed this time, so there must be something you need to do!"
Chris nodded sullenly: "It's done..."
After saying that, he paused, then suddenly said, "Father, I want to learn how to be a businessman!"
The middle-aged man suddenly looked up, somewhat surprised, at his son: "What? You've come to a change of heart? You're not going to be that knight anymore?"
Chris shook his head: "I just want to be smarter. Honest people get taken advantage of too much in the outside world!"
