The rain suddenly intensified.

The three of them turned around in surprise and saw a bus with its headlights on, speeding towards them from the direction of the amusement park.
The car headlights pierced through the rain, giving me a feeling of being saved.
Kindaichi reacted the fastest, rushing forward without thinking and blocking the middle of the road, waving his hands frantically.
"Hey! Stop the car! Please stop!"
But the bus didn't seem to be slowing down.
Yoruichi Toyama was startled and quickly went over to pull him away from in front of the car.
At the same time, a loud "crack" was heard, a thunderclap that shook the heavens and the earth, the lightning so bright that people couldn't open their eyes for a moment.
The bus screeched to a halt, its front end only a few centimeters from Kindaichi's side.
However, having done many reckless things before, Kindaichi wasn't worried at all. He rushed to the driver's side and shouted into the window, "Please, can we get in? The rain is too heavy!"
