"What are you doing? You haven't replied for ages!"
Surprised, Yoruichi Toyama didn't have time to answer, but turned to search for Noah's Ark in the void.
"Is this what you call giving up on yourself? You've even stopped recording?"
"My teammates don't allow voice chat anyway!" Noah's Ark said listlessly.
"Alright, stop worrying about that and just tell me how you got to Baker Street."
Once communication was no longer an issue, Wise immediately took the lead.
Yoruichi Toyama, of course, knew that he wanted to compare the two people's methods of advancing the plot in order to find a way to complete the game.
But I have a strategy guide!
However, considering the looming threat of Noah's Ark, Yoruichi Toyama did not directly reveal Conan's complete walkthrough.
Instead, he first recounted his own experience.
"In other words, letting Jack the Ripper escape at the beginning, and hearing that Mr. Holmes went out when we arrived at Baker Street, are all part of the game's plot that cannot be changed."
"And players who choose to visit Mr. Holmes will be considered as his acquaintances."
"Huh?" Upon hearing this analysis, Yoru Toyama was taken aback. "Is this the game's default setting?"
I was worried about what would happen if I were exposed to his face.
"I only just realized it myself, otherwise I wouldn't have..."
A wise answer is vague and doesn't sound like someone has encountered something embarrassing; instead, it seems to encourage further questions.
Yoruichi Toyama simply went along with the good advice.
"What did you say?"
After harassing the residents of the street and then taking the time to attach his hacking program to the homeless NPC, Mingzhi went back to Inspector Lestrade and asked him to take him to Baker Street.
Lestrade actually agreed.
"Because... I told him that I was Mr. Holmes's student."
Are you spreading rumors and swindling people? Right?
"So Lestrade and Mrs. Hudson believed it?"
The landlady must know a lot about Sherlock Holmes.
There was no immediate response, but unexpectedly, a melodious tune began to play.
Yuanshan Ye subconsciously turned her head and saw the violin in the room.
Sherlock Holmes' violin.
So the student you're talking about isn't a "detective's" student, but a violin student!
The music was soothing and peaceful, without any deliberate virtuosity, but one could still hear that the performer had been immersed in this art for many years.
Yoruichi Toyama, however, felt more and more like complaining as she listened.
With no one else around, they had to temporarily grab Noah's Ark to be their straight man.
"You tell me... did that guy just come up with this lie on a whim, or...?"
"He was interested in Mr. Holmes's lover from the very beginning, which is why he made up this nonsense?"
“Don’t ask me,” Noah’s Ark replied quietly, “I don’t want to know at all.”
...
"I'm very curious." Having his identity exposed and revealed in his true form, "Toyama Yoichi," or rather, Takato Yoichi, calmly and brightly stared at the person in front of him.
"Lan Zexi" refers to herself as "Absinthe".
Vermouth smiled provocatively, not removing her disguise, but instead reaching out to touch the man's young face again.
"Are you curious how I came to have the identity of Lan Zexi, and how did I know your identity?"
Although it was a question, it sounded quite certain in that queen-like, assertive tone.
Gao Yuan nodded, pretending to listen attentively.
She didn't even pay attention to the hand that was entangled on her lips.
“Of course I’m not Lan Zexi.” Vermouth said, tapping her finger on those lips before pulling it back and sucking on her fingertip.
The alluring movements didn't seem forced on her; instead, they flowed naturally.
It seemed as if she and the person in front of her had always had this kind of close relationship.
She is like a fox, or a beautiful snake, capable of seizing human souls without them even realizing it.
"The real Lan Zexi, no, she doesn't even know her name is Lan Zexi..."
She continued quietly, her eyes filled with allure.
"She was just an ordinary but hardworking student who, after her single mother passed away, unexpectedly received a donation from a distant relative, giving her the opportunity to study in the United States."
"She should be enjoying her new life."
"So, Chairman Lan Ze really does have such an illegitimate daughter," Gao Yuan nodded, seemingly unmoved by Vermouth's repeated provocations.
"So, what is Ms. Vermouth's purpose in taking his place? Is it the mere billions of assets of the Lanze Group?"
Absinthe chuckled.
"A mere few billion?"
"I heard that Mr. Gao Yuan is quite wealthy, and it seems that this is indeed true."
"A mere few billion! I should really bring Gin here and let him hear you repeat that sentence to his face!"
"I can't wait to see him get so angry he'll twist his nose, but he has to put on a cold face!"
Takato's eyes flickered slightly when he heard the name "Gin".
This did not escape Vermouth's notice.
"You've heard of Gin? Was it that girl who told you about him?"
"Hmm?" This time, Gao Yuan calmly asked in return, "Madam, who are you referring to?"
“That girl, Sherry, Shiho Miyano,” Vermouth said bluntly. “Don’t tell me you don’t know her.”
“Gin, who hates traitors, came up with a plan to lure Sherry out, but what appeared was a scapegoat disguised as Sherry.”
