Of course, some of these clues are not needed now; they will only come into play when we face off against Jack the Ripper.

"Mr. Holmes suspects that Jack the Ripper is an assassin kept by Professor Moriarty."
Almost simultaneously with Akechi, Yoruichi Toyama turned to that page of the record.
There were also some newspaper clippings tucked inside, reporting on several of Jack's previous crimes.
