Hearing the intense battle raging inside the room, Kaito Kuroba instinctively felt a sense of crisis.
Sure enough, as soon as the door opened, a dark figure flew out and slapped at his face.
[Host! Host, can you do me a favor?]
Watson wants to say hello to you, but please don't let it tear off Kaito Kuroba's mask!
Taro called out from behind.
Yoruichi Toyama quickly waved his hand in the air.
"Watson, it's been a long time!"
The falcon came to an abrupt halt in mid-air, hovering for almost a second, its sharp eyes taking turns scrutinizing "Yoichi Toyama" and "Akami" in front of it.
Finally, it let out a happy chirp and turned to the young lady who reached out her hand.
As the gate opened, Hakuba Saguru's smiling face was revealed.
"Hey, Watson? Weren't you going to say hello to Toyama? Why did you end up with Miss Akemi?"
Looking at the two people in front of him, he smiled without any hesitation.
"You rascal, you actually like getting close to girls too!"
Yoruichi Toyama suppressed a laugh and nodded politely in acknowledgment.
"It's okay, I like Watson too."
Watson gently nuzzled Yoruichi Toyama's shoulder, then gently rested on his arm before glaring at his master and letting out a disgruntled snort.
[Foolish humans, this is the true Mr. Toyama...]
Taro temporarily took on the task of translating bird language, and Meow Meow laughed slyly.
[Foolish humans, ha ha ha... Watson, you're absolutely right! ...]
Kaito Kuroba, who unexpectedly ran into his classmate here, could only rub his eye, which was about to cramp, without making a sound.
After being secretly nudged by Yoruichi Toyama, he bent down to pick up Taro and then greeted Hakuba Saguru with feigned enthusiasm.
"Long time no see, Hakuba!"
Hakuba Saguru, who was walking towards the hall with them, unconsciously slowed down his pace.
"Long time...?" he drawled. "I think it's only been a little over a month since we last saw each other after the incident on Azure Island?"
"Oh, hehe, hehe..." Kaito Kuroba secretly glanced at Yoruichi Toyama, who was talking to Watson, and thought to himself, "You didn't explain this clearly before you came, did you?"
"Well, but there was a New Year's break in between! Rounding up, it's been about two years since we last saw each other, White Horse!"
Hakuba Saguru did not investigate this sophistry further.
"That's an interesting way to put it..."
Amidst laughter and conversation, the three of them, along with a cat and a bird, had already met up with the others in the hall.
Kogoro, dressed in a fine suit, was prominently among them.
And he was having a lively conversation with the tall, Western-looking man next to him.
When "famous detectives" gather, one activity that is inevitably to gossip is to gossip.
They each talked about the classic cases they had solved, subtly boasting about themselves.
With the addition of Yoruichi Toyama and her two companions, everyone started another round of self-introductions.
Ikumi Gunta, a beautiful detective who was formerly a forensic pathologist.
Harufumi Mogi, the tall, tough detective who often travels to the most crime-ridden areas of the United States and Japan, is the same man who chats with Kogoro.
It is said that she can solve cases without being at the scene, simply by sitting at home and listening to people narrate the facts. Therefore, she is known as the "armchair detective," the little old lady, Chima Kazuyo.
And, a chef in the detective world, a detective in the chef world, a cross-disciplinary celebrity, and Da Shang Zhu Shan.
The last one was a short, stout old man with a curly mustache.
If I had to say, he bears some resemblance to Poirot from the movie "Death on the Nile".
Thinking about how the character of the old lady Senma was intentionally or unintentionally trying to piggyback on Miss Marple's fame, Yoruichi Toyama couldn't help but chuckle to herself.
Who would believe you two aren't in cahoots?
There are so many detectives here, oh, and thieves too, and you two are both characters from Agatha Christie's works.
"Mr. Da Shang Zhu Shan?"
As Yoruichi Toyama was lost in thought, she heard Kaito Kuroba say something with a hint of curiosity.
“What, Mr. Toyama, isn’t this our first meeting?” Ogami Shuzen replied nimbly.
Kaito Kuroba immediately realized what was happening and shrugged.
“I’ve seen Mr. Osaka on TV before.”
The food critic took this as a compliment and exchanged a few pleasantries with a smile.
Then, Ishihara, a maid in the villa, led them to their respective rooms.
"So, only the seven of us... oh, I should say eight detectives were invited?"
Upon seeing Akemi next to Yoruichi Toyama, Hakuba Saguru quickly corrected his statement.
As Ishihara led the way, he turned back and gave a polite smile.
"Actually, the master wanted to invite two more people, but..."
"Huh? Who is it?" Everyone was curious.
It carries a subtle sense of arrogance, as if to say, "Who else can compare to me?"
Yoruichi Toyama followed along quietly, just like Akemi, without offering any opinions.
Speaking of those two, I'm not targeting anyone in particular.
I mean everyone here, oh, except for Hakuba Saguru, the rest are... um...
As expected, Ishihara said, "It's those two high school detectives, known as 'Kudo of Kanto' and 'Hattori of Kansai'."
"However, Mr. Shinichi Kudo has been missing for a long time and cannot be contacted for the time being."
"As for Mr. Hattori Heiji... his mother answered the phone. She said that his final exam results were not good, with a deviation score of less than 95, and he had to go to cram school, so he didn't have time to come over."
"puff……"
Kaito Kuroba burst out laughing before everyone else, then turned around and looked at them before calming down a bit.
"I never thought that high school detectives would be affected by their studies!"
