Chapter 167 The Witch's Bullets

"It wasn't easy! It really wasn't easy for me..."

Even with handcuffs on, Kenzo Masuyama continued to ramble on to the police officer who was helping him up.

"I worked hard all my life to build up my current fortune, and now..."

Someone coughed in the crowd. Masuyama Kenzo heard it, shuddered, and stopped talking.

"Officer, please take me away..."

Inspector Megure interpreted his eagerness to turn himself in as a matter of saving face, and didn't make things difficult for him.

He left a few officers behind to disperse the crowd and investigate the scene, while he led a large group of people away.

Because the case was solved so well, he walks with a swagger.

I guess I won this bet?

When Yoichi Toyama turned to look for Miss Chris, he found that she had disappeared without a trace.

The translator, however, remained standing there, seemingly waiting.

Yoruichi Toyama darted over in a single stride.

Where is Miss Chris?

The translator frowned impatiently because the question was too impolite.

"What else do you want to do? Do you need to report Miss Chris's actions to you?"

An ominous premonition welled up in Yoruichi Toyama's heart.

This incident, the "incident" that Vermouth refers to, is clearly an action planned by the distillery.

The target is to swallow the mouth of the congressman.

The executor was Kenzo Masuyama.

So, what role did absinthe play at the scene?

Also, what happened to Pisker in the original storyline? ...

Yoruichi Toyama's eyebrows twitched involuntarily.

He guessed what Vermouth had gone to do.

However, she didn't bring a gun...

so……

He stood in the hall, looked around for a moment, then realized something and ran straight to the window.

From the window, you can see the road in front of the hotel entrance, where several police cars are lined up with their red and blue lights flashing.

Inspector Megure, wearing a hat, appeared in a brown-yellow hue, followed by Inspector Shiratori, and officers flanking Kenzo Masuyama from both sides...

In a moment of desperation, Toyama Yoruichi didn't turn around; instead, she opened the window and jumped straight out.

"Hey, sir!" A murmur arose from the people behind him who had witnessed his action. "This is the third floor!"

Even at a height of 10 meters above the ground, Toyama Yoruichi herself wasn't confident.

But in the world of Detective Conan, sheer force can solve almost everything.

He mustered all his reflexes and, as he landed on the eaves of the gate, he suddenly kicked off with his foot.

Then, with the help of the cushioning force, it landed on the ground.

Perfect!

Feeling as if she had opened the door to a new world, Yoruichi Toyama rushed forward and caught up with Inspector Megure and his men who were walking next to the police car.

"Brother Yuanshan? You..."

Inspector Megure turned halfway around, only saying half of his question.

Yoruichi Toyama suddenly leaped and tackled Kenzo Masuyama, who was behind him, to the ground.

With a "whoosh," it sounded like the wind, or like a dud firecracker.

The rear window of the police car shattered instantly.

"It's...it's a shooting!" Inspector Shiratori was the first to react. "Quick, get down!"

The well-trained officers immediately crouched down next to the police car and drew their guns.

Yoruichi Toyama turned first in the direction from which the bullets were coming.

A small window on the third floor.

Judging from the height, it should be a ventilation window in the toilet.

If fluorescent agents can be applied to the chandelier chains in a hotel lobby, then hiding a sniper rifle in a women's restroom wouldn't be difficult either.

In a split second, he seemed to see a pair of emerald green eyes hidden behind that small window.

In this operation by the distillery, Pisco's mission is to kill the senator, while Vermouth's mission is to assist Pisco.

And, if necessary, to silence them.

Having figured all this out, Yoruichi Toyama reached behind him and pinned Kenzo Masuyama down, making him curl up next to the police car's wheels.

He himself stood completely between him and the small window from which the deadly bullet was about to be fired.

I didn't think too much about it.

They didn't want anyone to die, and the members of the distillery were powerful sources of intelligence.

I didn't think about any of it.

Yoruichi Toyama stared intently at those green eyes.

Don't let her win.

This witch who manipulates other people's lives at will...

She won't get away with it this time!

With a "whoosh".

Bullets whizzed through the air, and police officers, no matter where they were hiding, instinctively lowered their heads.

In the distant view of Yoru, the process of the bullet going from blurry to clear seemed to be many times slower.

He remembered.

Kyogoku really can dodge rifle bullets.

There are indeed things in this world that transcend human limits.

He can dodge it!

With her eyes fixed on the bullet's trajectory, Yoruichi Toyama prepared to move.

But as soon as he moved, he discovered that Kenzo Masuyama and another police officer were behind him.

Absinthe's target was certainly not him.

It wouldn't matter if he were hit by the bullet, but since he dodged it, the people behind him would definitely get shot.

Absinthe, realizing he had been discovered, didn't have time to carefully identify his target; this shot had only a 50% chance of success.

But for Yoruichi Toyama, it's 100%.

The brief moment seemed to be stretched to its limit.

Yuanshan Yezhi managed to stop dodging in time and forcefully shoved the police officer behind him.

The young man rolled around twice, covered in dust and dirt.

Then, "bang!"

A figure bumped into the door of the police car, then slid off and remained motionless.

The scene fell silent for a second.
