Kurosawa Kazuma knew that his younger brother, who was 20 years younger than him, hated him.
Or rather, they resent the fate brought about by the surname Kurosawa.
Rather than a specific father or brother, what Kurosawa Kazuma severed was more like his last expectation of human kinship.
So, it's all karma.
Kurosawa and Ma thought.
Because of what she did back then, she lost her daughter and then a son she never even had.
I have nothing to complain about.
It just dragged Xiang Jingge into it.
Looking at the dazed woman beside him, Kurosawa Kazuma wanted to say something to the man named Vodka, but ultimately swallowed his words.
That person didn't seem to have even the slightest bit of pity.
I'm afraid neither I nor Xiang Jingge will live much longer.
Overwhelmed by despair and exhaustion, Kurosawa Kazuma slowly closed his eyes.
But then a heavy thud was heard, and even the ground trembled slightly.
He was astonished to see Vodka's massive body lying motionless right in front of him.
Then two people wearing black diving suits approached.
"Excuse me, are you Mr. Kurosawa Kazuma? My surname is Toyama."
The young-looking man bent down and spoke gently.
...
Kurosawa Kazuma and Hibiki Shizuka were quickly untied and had some of their wounds treated.
Of course, all of this was done by Yoruichi Toyama.
Absinthe, meanwhile, sat leisurely to the side, as if checking whether her neatly trimmed and shiny nails had been damaged.
"We need to take Mr. Kurosawa and Ms. Shizuka with us before Gin returns."
Yoichi Toyama said this after he finished his work.
Which pier is closer?
Absinthe didn't even glance at him, only letting out a cold snort.
Instead of asking which dock is closer, let's ask which dock is less likely to be ambushed.
"Gin, and those two Chantilly and Corinne, are planning to shoot you as soon as you come ashore."
"And how do you plan to take them both to the dock?"
Yoruichi Toyama was a little taken aback by the question, and scratched her head as she looked at Shizuka Hibiki's injured ankle.
Realizing that the danger was not over, Mr. Kurosawa quickly took over.
"My car is in the garage on the first floor."
"However, Jin... that's Gin, he is indeed near the docks."
"He had contacted this person several times before via radio."
Vermouth's gaze toward Yoruichi in the distance was filled with disappointment and frustration.
"Look at them, and then look at yourself..."
"I'm a third-rate detective, a third-rate one!" Yoruichi Toyama said with a helpless self-deprecating laugh.
Thinking that the previous events all relied on spoilers, this time it has nothing to do with the original plot.
We're already very lucky to have come this far.
"So you..." Vermouth's words were interrupted by a ringing phone.
Yoruichi Toyama pulled her phone out from inside her diving suit and discovered it was Akemi's number.
"Mingmei, what's wrong with you..."
The person on the other end of the phone didn't correct him, but went straight to the point: "Yuanshan, what exactly is your battle plan?"
"ah?"
The voice startled Vermouth, who nudged the dazed Yoruichi Toyama.
Who is it?
“Shuichi Akai, you know him, right?” Yoruichi Toyama said, “He’s an FBI agent, and also part of your organization…”
"Of course I know!" Vermouth glared at him. "I'm asking why he's here!"
At the same time, Shuichi Akai on the other end of the phone asked, "That voice... it sounds like..."
“Yes, it’s absinthe, Ah… um, sister.” Yoruichi Toyama chuckled, “You two ate together at our house, and you’ve already forgotten so quickly.”
Although both sides had anticipated this, both ends of the phone fell silent simultaneously.
It seems like they're pondering how to define this kind of friendship, like having shared a meal of stir-fried shredded potatoes with vinegar.
“Absinthe…” Shuichi Akai finally spoke again, “Where are you now?”
"We rescued the hostages at the hotel next to the opera house," Vermouth replied quickly. "What about your side?"
“Our ship is still near the dock and has not yet come ashore,” Shuichi Akai said. “Initial observations indicate that there are snipers lying in ambush on both docks.”
"Should I delay them a little longer, or let them go back so it's easier for you to come out?"
Just as Yoruichi Toyama was feeling pleased to see the two of them talking so well together, Vermouth suddenly shoved the phone back at her.
"I don't care about all that, ask Yuanshan!"
"Huh? That..."
Yoruichi Toyama immediately became flustered. When Shuichi Akai asked again, "What's your plan?", she instinctively blurted out, "Plan? I don't have one...!"
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the phone, followed by the faint sound of teeth grinding.
Yoruichi Toyama thought to himself, if bullets could reach the phone, Shuichi Akai would probably have shot himself long ago.
“Hey, former…Mr. Akai,” Yoruichi Toyama said, his face flushed, “considering the current situation, why don’t you take command?”
...
"Brother, something bad has happened!" Vodka's panicked voice came through the walkie-talkie, mixed with crackling electrical interference, making it somewhat distorted.
“That…that distant mountain…”
"Yuyama?" Gin suddenly snapped to attention. "You saw him? How did he get onto the island?"
The two docks were being monitored by himself, Shanti, and Coron respectively, while the FBI speedboat had clearly not even docked yet.
That detective from the distant mountains, could he possibly fly down from the sky?
