For a moment, I felt that the organization's legitimate members had turned against them a little too quickly.
Just now he was trying his best to deny that he was an undercover agent, but then he arrested Rum. Is he trying to curry favor with the police?
Do you think we're dead?
Before the three allies could finish exchanging glances, Kiel repeated himself menacingly.
"Don't move!"
"I'm an undercover agent!"
What?
Amuro Tooru's pupils showed signs of contracting again.
You're an undercover agent? I'm the police chief!
The other two allies probably think the same way.
"You're an undercover agent?" Ireland said with a sneer. "Then let's wait for the police to come in and see if they recognize you or me!"
"Huh? Wait a minute!" Vermouth's eyes flashed. "Ireland, are you an undercover agent too?"
With the police out in the background, Ireland, unfazed by the bourbon and absinthe, swiftly moved to stand beside Kiel, who had taken Rum hostage.
"More or less. I've been working with the police for a long time."
I'm relieved.
Amuro Tooru finally exhaled the last breath he had been holding in.
Regardless of Kiel's situation, at least his two allies won't be fighting each other.
"Hmph!" Vermouth sneered, her arrogance rising. "Can you be earlier than me?"
Huh?
All three stood next to Rum, and the person sandwiched in the middle turned to Amuro Tooru at the same time.
"Bourbon, it seems you're the only one left."
Amuro Tooru shrugged.
"Then... there's no other way."
He walked directly to the gate, and under the tense gazes of the crowd, calmly opened it, facing the flashing red and blue police lights and the muzzles of countless long and short guns.
The expected volley of gunfire did not occur; instead, only a thin policeman wearing glasses ran forward.
“Mr. Furuya!” The policeman’s tone was surprisingly respectful.
Amuro Tooru waved casually and walked out.
"Take people in and bring them in. Take control of everyone first, but don't hurt anyone."
"Keep a close watch on that one-eyed gentleman; I will interrogate him personally later."
"The black-haired lady... well, don't believe anything she says for now."
"The other two are our own people."
The people inside listened to his instructions, one by one, as his figure gradually disappeared into the thick night.
...
The television host, Ms. Rena Mizunashi, is an elite member of the organization, Kir, whose true identity is Hidemi Hondo, a CIA agent.
There's also Amuro Tooru, the popular waiter at Poirot Cafe, and Bourbon, another elite member of the organization, whose true identity is Furuya Rei, a secret police officer of the Japanese Public Security Bureau.
The revelation of these two events shocked many of those involved in the operation, leaving them feeling as if their worldview had been turned upside down.
This includes the two of them themselves.
"Even the CIA has to get involved!" Officer Furuya grumbled angrily. "Did the FBI give you the information?"
Before him stood Mr. Shuichi Akai, representing the FBI and conducting joint operations with the Japanese Public Security Bureau.
“How could that be!” Shuichi Akai replied calmly. “We keep to ourselves and don’t interfere with each other.”
"So, are you going to share some of the profits with them?"
“Of course not,” Shuichi Akai said firmly.
Just kidding. Those guys in the CIA are always taking advantage of others, aren't they?
I killed Gin, I captured Vodka, and I obtained the information about Shiho Miyano after great difficulty.
Kiel, who has been undercover for years without achieving anything, wants to take credit for my work?
Shuichi Akai prefers those who are capable to do more work, not those who are taken advantage of.
They certainly won't do favors for others.
Seeing Shuichi Akai's expression, Rei Furuya nodded knowingly.
"Then let's keep Miss Kiel locked up for a while longer and wait for her hometown to come and pick her up."
Rena Mizunashi, Emi Hondo, and Rei Furuya are all disowned here.
The police arrested Kir, a manager at the distillery. The CIA wanted her, but first they needed evidence to prove she was an undercover agent.
As for anything else, don't even think about it!
This is a consensus reached between Inspector Furuya and Mr. Akai.
...
During the police operation to capture Rum, the number two figure in the dark organization, Absinthe, an elite member of the organization, was already under control, but escaped during the transport and his whereabouts are unknown.
"Do you know what my relationship is with the organization's boss?"
Absinthe lay on the sofa in the Yuanshan Ye family's house, legs crossed, petting the cat, sipping red tea, looking quite relaxed.
He doesn't look like a wanted fugitive at all.
Yoruichi Toyama smiled and shook his head.
"I don't know. They can't be relatives, can they?"
Absinthe immediately understood the probing tone in his voice.
So he said angrily, "That guy Bourbon told you, didn't he!"
Yoruichi Toyama remained noncommittal, only asking in return, "Then how did Amuro... Bourbon know?"
The answer is pure coincidence.
When he switches identities, it's as if his personality changes completely, just like when he switches identities. Whether he's Amuro Tooru or Bourbon, no matter what identity he appears in, he treats everyone with the same kindness and friendliness as Inspector Furuya himself.
So when Bourbon first met Absinthe at the distillery, he only worked with the distillery once or twice before he began to show it great care on a daily basis.
The two talked about all sorts of trivial things, from healthy diets to tips for solving insomnia.
But it also greatly comforted Vermouth, who didn't get along well with others because of her status and age.
It can be said that Amuro Tooru, this young man, not only played part of the role of "friend" in her life, but could even be called her "male best friend".
