Chapter 5 The Shocking Professor

The way knowledge is transmitted is not commensurate with the level of technological advancement.

Back in the days at the Mage Academy, everyone paid for the knowledge they purchased through the Magic Network and downloaded it into their brains. A trace of nostalgia flashed in Zheng Li's eyes; countless years had passed since he left the academy.

In his view, knowledge on Earth is too cheap to acquire, and the Internet allows everyone to access a vast amount of information.

After Li Miaomiao took a picture of Zheng Li's answer and sent it to Professor Liu, she got up, went outside the study room, and called him directly to ask:

"Uncle Liu, could you please check if I've answered these questions correctly? Thank you so much. I'll have my dad treat you to dinner later."

Liu Gui is a professor in the Department of Mathematics at Jiangcheng University. He and Li Miaomiao's parents have been colleagues for many years, and he has watched her grow up since she was a child.

Liu Gui was in his office in the Department of Mathematics when he received the call and shook his head helplessly: he would have to trouble the first-year students with their advanced mathematics.

He glanced at his phone, and his expression turned serious.

Liu Gui thought it was just a first-year advanced mathematics exam, but he found that the other party had brought him the exam questions from the first half of this year's Qiu Chengzi competition.

He mentored third-year students to participate in the Qiu competition this year and was deeply impressed by the questions in this year's competition.

Liu Gui turned on her computer, carefully looked at the screen, and then immediately made a phone call:

"It's well written, but it's definitely not your work. Not only is the handwriting completely different from yours, but the question itself is not something you could answer."

Li Miaomiao objected: "Aren't you underestimating me? What makes you so sure?"

Liu Gui: "I don't know where you found that geometry problem, but it's at least as difficult as the final exam of a freshman in the Department of Mathematics. With your high school math score of only 120, you definitely couldn't have solved it."

"The other two questions are from this year's Qiu Mathematics Competition. If you could solve them, you wouldn't need to study humanities mathematics."

Liu Gui showed no mercy: "Tell me, who did it?"

Li Miaomiao didn't take the rebuttal seriously and instead laughed, "Hehe, tell me first, did you do it right?"

Liu Gui nodded and said, "You did all three questions well. Your thinking was very clear, and your solutions were the simplest."

"The Qiu competition only ended in the first half of this year, and the official answers can't be found outside. Tell me, who did you get to do it?"

"I'm teaching third-year students this year, and during the selection exam, I didn't find anyone who could answer these two analytical questions correctly."

In previous years, the Qiu Chengdong Mathematics Competition has been dominated by students from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and at most, the University of Science and Technology of China. Even though Jiangcheng University's mathematics department ranks among the top ten in China, Jiangcheng University students still need luck to win a bronze medal in the Qiu Chengdong Mathematics Competition.

Li Miaomiao smiled and said, "He is a freshman in your college. His name is Zheng Li."

Liu Gui looked shocked on the other end of the phone: "Is it Zheng Li, the one who claims to be able to solve problems in freshman math analysis and advanced algebra for a fee?"
