Chapter Eight: King-Level Martial Arts
Su Yang, who was hiding behind the boulder, also saw the two-headed giant snake that suddenly appeared.
Even upon seeing its enormous size, his gaze narrowed.
Although the strength of a monster cannot be judged based on its size.
However, the larger the size, the stronger the ability is usually.
"It's so big, it must be at least a third-tier demon beast. This is bad."
Perhaps it was a longing for beautiful things, but at least Su Yang really didn't want to see Xu Wan die.
But asking him to jump out and save people is impossible.
What a joke! A third-tier demon beast is far beyond his ability to defeat.
It's fair to say that he had no other option but to hide here and worry anxiously.
But before Su Yang could even silently mourn for Xu Wan...
In that valley.
Xu Wanyu touched the silver bracelet on her fair wrist, and a cyan longsword appeared in her hand.
He casually twirled his sword, then pointed it, unleashing a soaring aura that even Su Yang, far away, could clearly feel.
"So it was you who blocked the entrance. No wonder I couldn't find it no matter how hard I looked."
Holding her sword and staring at the two-headed giant snake, Xu Wan's voice was calm, without the slightest fear.
In contrast, the giant snake, which had been moving forward, suddenly stopped.
The snake's eyes sized up the human in front of it, sensing a danger emanating from her.
Its animal instincts made it feel that the human in front of it was not someone it could handle.
But thinking of what was inside the cave behind him, the giant snake couldn't bear to just give it up.
After all, if it weren't for the treasures in the cave behind it, it wouldn't have reached the intermediate level of the third tier.
One of the giant snake's heads opened its massive jaws and sprayed a mouthful of foul-smelling venom at Xu Wan.
Xu Wan didn't make any extra movements; she simply leaped up and dodged him.
As his body twisted in the air, the longsword in his hand shone brightly, and true energy surged into the longsword, instantly manifesting into an exaggerated blue giant sword!
The sword's body is ethereal, but the chilling aura emanating from it is undeniable.
He twisted his body and swung the greatsword downwards, slashing straight at the giant snake's body.
The sword touched the scales of the giant snake, and sparks flew.
But this seemingly powerful sword strike failed to sever the giant snake; in fact, the illusory sword itself shattered.
With only a Qi Gathering Ninth Level cultivation, dealing with a mid-level third-tier demonic beast was still somewhat of a stretch.
After landing, Xu Wan moved swiftly, creating distance while also dodging the giant snake's tail that followed.
"If this continues, Xu Wan is likely to lose."
Sitting on the sidelines watching the tigers fight, Su Yang's insight was exceptionally sharp.
Xu Wan's strength was indeed superior to his; after all, the cultivation technique she practiced was far superior to his "Xianyang Gong".
However, if one thinks that one can challenge third-tier demonic beasts by relying solely on one's abundant true energy and powerful abilities, then that is undoubtedly wishful thinking.
At least Su Yang couldn't see any possibility of her winning.
As the person directly involved, Xu Wan naturally felt the deepest emotions.
Recalling the sword energy that had attacked the giant serpent earlier, he thought it would at least break through its defenses, but it turned out to be a futile effort.
The sword strike landed on his flesh as if it were cutting through refined steel.
His eyes sharpened; he knew he couldn't delay any longer, for the longer he dragged it out, the less safe it would be.
Having made up her mind, Xu Wan unleashed all her true energy, and a blue light flowed around her.
Endless sword energy emanated from her body.
As she dodged, the giant snake's sweeping tail touched the sword shadows that appeared around her, causing flesh to fly and snake blood to splatter everywhere.
Even before the attack was fully formed, it possessed such power. The giant snake felt the pain and its two enormous heads retracted.
The snake's eyes even carried a human-like sense of fear.
Level 5 Martial Art: Sunset Sword Qi!
Like the rising sun casting its rays, endless sword energy manifested around Xu Wan.
With a flick of his cyan longsword, purple sword energy swept across the space, like fleeting rays of light.
With its enormous size, the giant snake could not dodge and forcefully absorbed the immense power of this King-level martial art!
Countless tiny sword holes appeared on the giant snake's body, grayish-blue scales were scattered all over the ground, and jets of blood gushed out.
The two snake heads roared to the sky, but soon the roars grew weaker and weaker. Finally, even the strength that supported the snake bodies as they stood up was exhausted as the blood flowed out, and the two huge snake heads fell heavily to the ground, raising clouds of dust.
A single, fatal blow. Xu Wan gripped her longsword, her face pale, her internal energy nearly depleted.
Fortunately, they finally managed to kill the giant snake.
Walking up to the giant snake's corpse, Xu Wan dug out its demon core, but she didn't intend to pay any attention to the snake's enormous body.
As she slowly walked to the cave entrance, looking at the dark, bottomless pit, Xu Wan was about to jump down.
Just then, a beam of cyan-yellow light suddenly appeared and shot towards her!
His senses surged, and he turned and swung his sword at it.
Even a level three sword could hardly withstand that blue-yellow light.
When the azure-yellow light finally touched Xu Wan, it did not harm her in the slightest.
They simply imprisoned her.
At the same time, a figure dressed in a black robe, completely concealing his body, appeared in front of Xu Wan.
"What do you mean by this, senior?"
Her body was enveloped in a bluish-yellow light, making it impossible for her to even raise her hand, Xu Wan said with a cold brow.
But the man in black robes ignored her.
Instead, he walked to the cave entrance and stood there, lost in thought.
"Dao Ancestor, is one of your fragments really down here?"
[Yes, I sense it; it must be down below.]
"Alright then."
The man in black robes was none other than Su Chen, who had secretly run away from the Su family!
