Chapter 251 God's Favor (Part 3) (Republished)

"Aaaaah! You brat! Damn it!"

"Let me go, please let me go! I... I'll give you money, no, whatever you want, I'll give you!"

"puff!"

A burst of lightning erupted, as if a lightning spear had pierced Tom's abdomen. The violent thunder blasted open a bloody hole, and his intestines spilled out onto the ground.

Tom's eyes widened, then gradually lost their light. He still couldn't believe that he had been killed by a little devil!

"Is this the power bestowed by God? It's truly powerful!"

The boy, dressed in a thin linen garment, withdrew the lightning spear that had gathered in his palm. He glanced coldly at Tom, dragged his corpse, and headed into the depths of the mountains.

...

"Mother, I will try my best to fulfill your last wish."

On a lonely hill, before a grave, Francis knelt silently, gazing at a prominent name engraved on the tombstone.

His face was deathly pale, and his body was stained with blood. Even though he was careful during the battle, he still inevitably got some blood on him.

The lady of the Tulip family finally took drastic measures, and the one who carried them out was her eldest son, his half-brother, a silver-ranked expert who had hunted down three giant wolves in the wasteland. His head was placed in front of the tombstone, his empty, lifeless eyes staring at Francis with disbelief and horror.

The grave contained his mother's belongings: a large bunch of violets, which were buried there.

As for the silver rings, necklaces, and other jewelry, he hid them in another place, using them as funds for his rise to power.

After all, they acted too quickly. The mother was still fast asleep in bed when, amidst her shrill screams, she was hacked to pieces by swords.

"Don't worry, I will live well... Although you were not a good mother, I respect you and love you. The deceased has passed away, please rest in peace."

He silently offered a prayer, loosened his grip on the shovel, gazed up at the star-studded night sky, and murmured to himself:

"Weakness is the original sin."

...

"Relax, I am not an enemy. Your identity will be hidden for the time being. From now on, you will be my distant nephew who has come to seek refuge."

A man with a thick beard laughed as he turned the roasting meat over the fire, handed the boy a bottle of strong liquor, and joked, "Our relationship needs to be worked out a bit, otherwise it'll be bad if they see through us."

But the latter only took a small sip and didn't say anything.

“The caravan is privately owned by me. I’ve heard about what happened to your mother. As for her, I… I’m very sorry. She was a kind person.”

The man said regretfully, but a meteor shower falling in the night sky quickly drew their attention.

"The Celebration of the God of Fire!"

He said that striking streaks of light streaked across the night sky, as meteors fell, dazzling and brilliant.

Seeing the boy's surprised expression, he couldn't help but tell him about the outside world:

"In that faraway land, the eternal flame of civilization burns across the sky, and even the night is as bright as day under a magical artifact called the crystal lamp."

"Legend has it that there are huge steel ships floating in the void. They have many names. At first, they were called Magic Warships... These ships can move across the Mickey Mountains in an instant, and they spray bubbles... uh, I think they are bubbles, but I can't quite remember."

"These bubbles could ignite a mountain in one go, spewing out molten lava. Hundreds of monsters tearing apart the city were instantly defeated. The Norse knights achieved their first victory in reversing the tide of battle, successfully repelling a charge by the Azure Scale Demon King. This is the most famous Battle of Mickey in the Norse."

The man spoke at length, while the boy listened with great interest, and their relationship grew much closer during the conversation.

...

"Smack!"

A clod of earth fell onto the coffin. The tall, upright boy gritted his teeth, held back the tears welling in his eyes, and finally buried the stolen coffin.

"Uncle with the beard, rest in peace. To realize our dream, I will carry your share and move forward together."

He looked up again, gazing at the night sky. The tattered moon was even darker, almost completely dark.

The next moment, his emerald green eyes gradually brightened, filled with an unwavering determination.

"The barren Northland is just a wasteland in Northern Europe, let alone on the Midlands continent."

"We must get out of here..."

"The outside world is so wonderful..."

...

"My God, this mercenary group, which has been established for less than half a year, has actually completed three major missions!"

"They slew the wolf king, escorted the rose caravan, and harvested gem flowers in the wasteland! They've actually completed the reward of at least three golden wolves ahead of schedule!"

"It's said that the leader of this mercenary group is known as the 'Hidden One,' and he's skilled in wolf pack tactics. Don't mess with them!"

The Adventurers' Guild members stared at the information on the quest log and discussed among themselves.

"Ah, it's... Lord Yin!"

A glamorous woman at the front desk exclaimed in shock as she looked at the badge and bag the young man handed her.

"This is three catties of Star Stones. Fortunately, the weather was good, and the mission was completed smoothly."

Francis chuckled softly, while the alluring woman, holding the magical materials, smiled after confirming their authenticity.

"Lord Yin, the scenery in the Purple Vine Garden is quite beautiful. I wonder if you would be in the mood to enjoy it with me?"

She gave a charming laugh, tucked the badge into her ample bosom, and stared at Francis's tall and handsome figure with a hint of anticipation.

The Nordic people revere the strong, especially when that strongman is a handsome young man.

"Oh, that sounds really good."
