Chapter 36: A Surprise Attack That Baffled Both Sides!

Before the assassin could react, Xiao Han touched the bone ring and wiped it. Instantly, a magic circle appeared, and undead creatures awoke from their eternal slumber, their chilling necromantic aura spreading out.

"call out!"

The assassin pursed his lips slightly, and the next moment, the short blade transformed into seven sharp points, forcefully shattering the magic circle to Xiao Han's slight astonishment!

Even the skeleton with half a foot showing had its leg sawed off.

Upon witnessing this scene, Xiao Han unleashed his magical power and turned to run.

Anyone capable of violently dismantling a necromancy circle must be at least a Silver rank!

The [Demon Eye]'s investigation would take some time, but the assassin had already stabbed him to death and covered him with a cloth as a gesture of goodwill.

"So, why is he running away?"

The assassin stared at Xiao Han's unattainable figure, utterly perplexed.

If I were to actually kill him, I guarantee I wouldn't have time to react halfway there and would chop him up with one blow.

Was there something wrong with how I made my entrance?

...

"Hey friend, do you know which street is advertising 'The Ferocious Little Fox'? It's super scary!"

"A vicious little fox? Heh, if I ever run into one, I'll smash his fox head in with a hammer."

In the alley, a bear-man with scars all over his face sneered.

"My lord, my lord, I was wrong. Please give me some time. I'll pay it all back in three days!"

"Damn it, you're the one who keeps babbling on and on!"

The burly bear-like man, who was extorting money from several poor people, slapped a debtor who was "delaying time to run away with the money" away and spat on him.

"It's best to be careful lately. That guy is too good at double-crossing, and I'm afraid he might try to extend his reach to us."

Another moneylender, a dog-headed man, stepped on a commoner's face, rubbing it against the ground, and said solemnly.

"He dares!"

"I'm afraid he might actually do it. After all, he has a good relationship with the city management guards. In any case, it's best to be careful these next few days."

"Hehe, according to them, it's a young fox cub, what's there to be afraid of?"

The bear-man waved his hand, counting the bronze eagles on his broad bear paws, and replied, "We're all grown men, are we afraid of a little fox? It would be embarrassing if word got out."

"Huff!"

Just as the two were chatting while collecting debts, a nimble, petite figure suddenly leaped out from the corner of the wall. Caught off guard, the bear-man was caught off guard and stepped directly on his face. A burst of force kicked the bear-man to the ground.

The next instant, the petite figure landed gracefully, her bright, blood-red eyes wide open, looking at the stunned crowd with confusion.

"Sorry, bro, I'm being chased. Are you alright?"

Xiao Han waved his hand, intending to help the bear-man up in a friendly manner, though of course, he wouldn't pay for his medical expenses.

"Fox ears, black hair, blood-red eyes!"

The kobold was terrified. After recognizing the other's features, he looked at the fox-man boy with a look of fear.

"Who the hell dares to kick my handsome face!"

The bear-man roared, but his expression gradually stiffened when his gaze fell on Xiao Han.

An eerie silence fell over the scene, and even the civilians who wanted to flee were trembling with fear.

"Oh, it's Your Highness the Little Fox!"

The bear-man forced a smile, his broad paws cradling a pile of bronze eagles, topped with a silver shell. Under the kobold's somewhat disdainful gaze, he fawned over Xiao Han, but a short sword at his waist trembled slightly, ready to be drawn at any moment and attack Xiao Han.

"Damn it, that guy is catching up!"

With a twitch of his nose, Xiao Han, disguised as a werewolf, sensed the assassin's approach with keen perception.

The next moment, he made a grasping motion, and the bone ring suddenly dimmed. From a condensed magic circle, a necromantic warhorse emerged, its entire body covered in bones and burning with ghostly blue flames. It possessed the combat power of the early Silver Rank and was incredibly fast.

This was one of the necromancer's trump cards for survival. As a newbie among demon lords, he naturally had to be fully prepared.

Furthermore, to guard against assassin attacks at any time, he held the obsidian sword in his hand, ready to ride away on horseback.

"Holy shit!"

The aura emanating from the Silver Rank caused the bear-men and kobolds to tremble with fear, kneeling on the ground as a pile of money boxes was instantly presented to them, their lowered eyes filled with deep apprehension.

They've become addicted to double-crossing; they want to take advantage of our relaxed state to launch a surprise attack and expand their influence!

Xiao Han: "???"

Xiao Han was puzzled by the obsequious behavior of this group of shady characters who were offering him money.

But since it was money given away for free, and with such sincerity, Xiao Han really couldn't refuse (of course, even if it was a misunderstanding, he couldn't return it, so give up!).

"Sir, I know their stronghold. Follow me!"

The kobold immediately jumped out, transforming into a traitor leading the enemy, believing that Xiao Han was going to wipe out all the forces operating in the nearby streets and dominate the underground forces of Titan City.

In order to get a taste of the benefits, the kobold immediately realized his own status and decided to follow Xiao Han.

"Yes, sir, I know the way too! The vegetable vendor on the east side and the fat piglet on the west side, they're all very fat and juicy."

The bear-man silently sheathed his hidden knife, wiped the paw prints off his face, and, together with the dog-headed man and the little fox riding a warhorse, charged toward their old rivals with whom they had a long-standing feud.

Saying things like "the trouble is flowing eastward" is the most shameless thing ever.

"Let's go, the faster the better!"

Xiao Han frowned, sensing the lurking aura, lying in the shadows, waiting for the perfect moment to strike. He urged.

Thus, the two sides misunderstood each other's intentions, but reached an agreement on their actions. The bear-man and the kobold-man ran frantically ahead (leading the way), while Xiao Han rode a ghostly warhorse to chase after them (for efficiency), creating a bizarre scene.
