The pure gold statue is sacred, magnificent, and grand.
Inside the cathedral, the organ plays automatically, its sound beautiful, solemn, majestic, and powerful, offering hymns to God.
"The offerings have arrived, the hymns are being sung, let us welcome the arrival of the gods!"
Fei Lan devoutly opened his arms, his calm face revealing a hint of fanaticism, his cheeks slightly flushed, as excited as if he had just taken a big drag of marijuana... feeling lightheaded and wanting to fly naked into the sky.
The young woman serving nearby, while praying to the gods, secretly glanced at Bishop Ferran, her delicate body trembling.
As a bishop of the Divine Court, Fei Lan's benevolence and kindness are merely a facade to conceal his grand scheme. In reality, he is cunning and treacherous, secretly cooperating with various forces to squeeze out his value before selling him off, thus becoming a stepping stone for the rise of the Divine Court.
She felt a sense of panic and inexplicable fear, yet also a sense of anticipation.
Bishop Ferran, however ruthless and indifferent, only dealt with external enemies.
Inside the shrine, he was still the kind old man who had given her bread in the slums, patting her little head and inviting her to live in the shrine's large family home.
"Smack!"
As the music played, the statue cracked open, revealing a small hole, inside which a dark heart shimmered with iridescent light, slowly swirling.
Fei Lan respectfully stepped forward and carefully removed the heart, which had been dormant for a thousand years, with a devout attitude.
"Could this be... the core of the magic tower?"
Kana was drawn to the heart; the magic tower she was refining had lost a crucial component, causing its grade to plummet, which piqued her curiosity.
“The Divine Court has containers that gather the power of faith, and this… is the Divine Core, my child.”
As Fei Lan stroked the seven-colored heart, before Kana could ask any questions, he smiled and said, "The divine core is the foundation left by the gods to the divine court. It is the basic material for the divine descent technique. We have collected thousands of years of faith. Now, awaken our lord and let our lord's body descend upon the northern lands."
The gaze, passing through the church, is fixed on a great sword in the sky.
Golden chains coiled around the sword, transforming into patterns on its surface. The swirling, flowing sword light nearly tore the sky apart.
"Boom! Boom!"
A series of great commotions changed the color of the heavens and earth, and the divine sword remained eternal.
Nine golden beams of light exploded with a roar, shooting straight into the sky and pouring into the violently churning clouds.
To Kana's astonishment, nine golden phantoms emerged from the pillar of light.
Duke Vayne, Haddad, Wu Qi, and other three duchies, along with their extraordinary individuals from Constantinople, emerged one by one.
What shocked her even more was that among the nine people were three who had previously perished: Guru, Tiger, and Ashett.
Guru and Tiger are from Valhalla!
Kana was stunned, unable to process the information, her lips feeling as if they had been stuffed with a salted duck egg.
"Don't be surprised, child, we've got all of this under our control."
Fei Lan smiled, his gaze somewhat deep.
He had long since erased the resurrection methods set up by Valhalla, but deliberately disguised them as intact.
In order to scheme against the various forces in the North, he devoted his entire life to the task. With the heavy responsibility of the revival of the Divine Court on his shoulders, he had no chance to catch his breath. Every minute and every second was spent plotting for the future of the Divine Court.
There are some situations he dares not gamble on, because if he loses, the deity he believes in may very well lose the chance to be revived.
Especially the Hall of Heroes, this prehistoric behemoth, whose subordinate forces are spread across an entire continent—Deslanca. If we truly trust them, the future of the Divine Court will be such that even the bones of its watchdogs will be gnawed away.
Although he expressed his gratitude for Valhalla's assistance over the past four hundred years, he made two preparations and decided to strike first.
As for the murder of the Valhalla members, the marker that identified the murderer was naturally pinned on Xiao Han.
"In the North, no force dares to offend the Divine Court."
"Nine golden phantoms, on one hand, are tasked with forging divine artifacts, and on the other hand, they intercept... powerful enemies coming from the Central Plains."
With a confident smile, Ferran formed a hand seal and frantically poured the golden magical energy, converted from his lifespan, into the divine core.
He murmured, his gaze fervent, sending a chill down Kana's spine: "When my lord returns, wielding the sword of victory, he will surely ascend the throne of the Lord of the Gods."
Even if the goddess of night notices, what can she do?
Before our Lord's grand plan, even gods will be slaughtered before our very eyes!
"puff!"
Golden springs flow, divine light shines brightly.
Bound by spiderwebs, Minise was imprisoned on a cross. A dozen void spears mercilessly pierced her ribs. Amidst the vicious curses of the crowd and the mockery of the Will of Gluttony, her beautiful face drooped in silence.
Bloodstains covered his body.
The drops trickled down her face, onto her collarbone, across her slightly protruding breasts, staining her tattered dress red. They then fell from the hem of her skirt, clinging to her smooth, slender calves, against her delicate skin, reaching her plump, jade-like feet, her smooth ankles, her slightly curled toes, before finally falling reluctantly to the ground.
After shedding the power of the Demon King, her delicate body was covered only by a few pieces of cloth. The spear of light pierced through her body, revealing a hint of bone-like radiance.
The light spear restricted her demon king talent; this was a hidden tactic of Guru.
Meanwhile, Titan City is in the process of self-rescue.
The entire city descended into a frenzied riot; plantations were engulfed in flames, and newly built manors were wantonly destroyed, leaving no time to support Minnie.
"The Colossus has become one with this city. It would be quite troublesome for me to take it out. Instead, I will use this city as a vehicle and as the main base of the Victorious Divine Court."
Fei Lan analyzed the situation carefully, a rare smile playing on her lips.
The huge boulder that had been pressing down on him had now been mostly removed, and he felt much better. Looking at the results of his life's hard work, the old man was quite gratified.
