Chapter 17 Campus Suicide Incident

With Wei Ling in control, no one dared to object.

Once everyone was seated, the wristband automatically opened and displayed the assessment page.

Qin Tan fiddled with the screen for a bit, and then the page was locked.

Let's begin!

Wei Ling casually pulled up a chair and sat down in front of everyone. Without looking at the others, he crossed his arms and closed his eyes to rest.

An exam paper is laid out on the screen.

Qin Tan didn't know if everyone's test questions were the same.

She glanced at the question and answered it quickly.

A month is enough time for her to absorb all the information in the bracelet.

This kind of knowledge test was a piece of cake for her.

After completing each question, the answers were quickly filled in.

In less than half an hour, Qin Tan clicked on the last question, and her hand paused for a moment when she got there.

Do you think humans can coexist peacefully with the supernatural?

This is an extra question and will not be scored.

Qin Tan murmured the question to herself, and then typed in her answer.

Qin Tan submitted her exam paper, nodded to Wei Ling (who had just opened his eyes) amidst the subtle glances of many people, and left.

"What are you looking at? You can leave once you've finished answering your questions."

Wei Ling reprimanded them, and the others immediately lowered their heads.

Wei Xiao glanced unwillingly at the swaying door and continued to answer.

Ahead, Wei Ling looked at Wei Xiao's expression and sighed inwardly.

He fiddled with his bracelet, and Qin Tan's answer sheet arrived at his side.

Answer checked, full marks.

Wei Ling's expression changed slightly, revealing his appreciation.

Many people don't care about this knowledge; they just want to get a passing grade of 60 to get by.

However, it is precisely because of their underestimation that they die tragically when they are on-site.

Qin Tan's attitude was quite proper, which is rare among extraordinary individuals.

He flipped through the other person's last question, and when he looked at that simple line of text, a strong light flashed in his eyes.

Those who are not of our kind will surely have different intentions; therefore, they must be killed.

This is Qin Tan's answer.

Wei Ling was very satisfied with the answer and generously gave Qin Tan an excellent rating.

As Qin Tan stepped out of the door, he saw Lin Zhisui peeking around.

They peered through the crack in the door, like thieves, at the assessment process inside.

His gaze was fixed on the female candidates, and he chuckled strangely.

"You finished answering so quickly?"

Manny deliberately looked at Qin Tan: "You didn't just pick something randomly, did you? The assessment results are very important."

"I know all the answers to the questions."

Qin Tan smiled faintly.

Although some of the questions were quite obscure, they weren't a problem.

"Alright, let's go, come with us to the next assessment."

Manny pulled the reluctant Lin Zhisui out, while Ye Jingjing followed along, explaining to Qin Tan.

"We received news that a student at Wangcheng University committed suicide."

"Extraordinary energy was detected at the scene, and the incident was sent to us. It just so happens to be your assessment task."

"You are free to improvise during the process, and the three of us will give you a score at the end."

As Ye Jingjing spoke, she moved closer to Qin Tan and said, "We've discussed it, and we'll definitely make sure you pass."

These words made Qin Tan smile.

"Shouldn't we wait for the other substitutes?"

They brought along a dozen or so candidates; weren't they afraid of being gossiped about?

"Need not."

Lin Zhi waved his hand and said, "I've discussed it with the captain. We only need you this time. If you can recruit through us, then we'll keep things as they are."

“You can follow me then,” Lin Zhisui winked at Qin Tan again.

Now Qin Tan understood why those candidates disliked him so much; it turned out that these people were the ones who had drawn hatred from him.

"The captain doesn't like too many people in the team."

Manny grabbed Lin Zhisui's ear and glared at him.

Qin Tan nodded and got into the waiting car outside.

The journey was smooth, but upon arrival at the scene, Qin Tan found it to be sealed off.

However, there were still many students looking around in the distance.

Wangcheng University has a nice environment, and there are many young and beautiful students everywhere.

As a recent graduate, Qin Tan felt quite nostalgic.

"This is it."

Qin Tan looked up and saw bloodstains flowing on the cement ground in front of her, and a corpse covered with a white sheet.

The smell of blood was very strong at the scene.

The princess squatted at Qin Tan's feet, her golden eyes looking at the corpse, her pupils narrowing, her gaze unfathomable.

Manny snapped her fingers, and the barrier opened outwards. The transparent barrier blocked outsiders from prying into the area, and ordinary people would automatically ignore it.

"Let's check it."

The white sheet was pulled back, revealing a mangled corpse.

"She jumped from the girls' dormitory building."

Manny frowned and looked up.

A height of ten stories is enough to rot a human body to pieces.

The body was in a terrible state; the arms and legs were twisted and contorted, with exposed bone, and the blood had drained away.

Red and white substances squeezed out of the shattered head, exploding into rotten flowers on the ground.

Their faces were stained with blood and tears, making them unbearable to look at.

Where the eye sockets were, two eyeballs bulged out, one burst open, the other hanging outside, scarlet and resentful, staring at the sky, unable to close their eyes in peace.

With just one glance, one's spirituality is corrupted.

There's something inside your head.

Qin Tan had excellent eyesight. She squatted down, put on gloves, and used her fingers to part the red and white objects, pulling out something from inside.

Amidst the rotting flesh, a tiny white worm, the size of a fingernail, was wriggling.

If you look closely, you can see that the insect has opened its mouth and is trying to bite Qin Tan; its mouth is full of dense, fine, sharp teeth.

Qin Tan sensed the aura of a forbidden object emanating from this thing.
