"Grab her."
Most of the people in the room were physically strong, not like ordinary people, but more like professionals.
Qin Tan recognized some of them; they were the ones she had seen on the old street earlier.
Hands reached out to grab her, but Qin Tan easily dodged them.
He grabbed someone and threw them over his shoulder.
The two sides are not on the same level, and these people pose no threat to Qin Tan.
After a brief exchange, the black-clad doctor figured out the trick.
"A bunch of useless trash."
The quack doctor was cursing someone, no one knew.
He walked up to Qin Tan and said earnestly, "Little girl, this is the old street, and the old street has its own rules."
"As you know, there are so many people in this old town who rely on the old streets and on me to survive."
"If things get really heated today, do you think those people will hate you?"
"After all, you're from the old town too, right?"
The quack doctor wanted to preach some profound truths.
"Look at all these people, some of them have received my kindness."
"They know what kind of person I am. I didn't force them to do this."
“I gave them enough money, so they naturally have to give something in return.”
"For the greediest, the money they get could buy a life."
"These are what I deserve."
The people lying in the shady doctor's house.
"If I can succeed and save more people, then all the sacrifices I make today will be worthwhile."
Only these people could say something like this, treating death as a sacrifice.
Seeing Qin Tan's unyielding attitude, the quack doctor became more impassioned, trying to seduce him.
"Everyone, think about it, what if your loved ones, your children, could receive medical treatment at a lower price from now on?"
"I can even make them healthier than the average person."
"Don't you look forward to such a future?"
"Perhaps you have lost hope, but your children's future is bright."
"All I want is for you to shed a little blood."
These words caused the crowd to whisper among themselves.
A large portion of the people who come here are doing so for their families and their children.
They naturally realized that something was wrong here.
No one has come out of that house safely since they entered it.
Why don't you say anything?
Naturally, it's because the shady doctors pay them enough money.
They were willing to pay money to save their lives.
All for that elusive hope.
"We don't need your help!"
Someone shouted at Qin Tan, "We did it voluntarily; the quack doctor didn't force us."
"That's right, you can go now."
"We are fine."
"No outsiders need to interfere here."
With a few words, they shooed Qin Tan away. Some of them were so agitated that they even came out and grabbed Qin Tan, trying to push her away.
The Qin sandalwood remained completely still.
She removed their hands.
"Your departure is voluntary; I won't force you to leave."
"But I think you have the right to know."
Qin Tan pointed to the side of the house, where there was another door, a metal door that looked like it was guarding something important.
But now, a cat with golden eyes is squatting at the door.
Its hair is as white as snow.
Upon receiving Qin Tan's order, the princess raised her sharp claws and reached for the iron gate.
With a few quick swipes, cracks appeared on the door.
With a gentle push of her paw, the door cracked and fell down, revealing what lay inside.
It's still just a series of beds.
Those people lying on the beds had their mouths gagged and their limbs bound.
The machine was delivering something into their bodies.
It looks like blood.
Qin Tan could tell at a glance the immense energy contained in those bodily fluids.
It comes from the extraordinary.
These people had their ordinary blood extracted and then had the blood of superhumans injected into their bodies.
They attempted to create superhumans through blood transfusions.
With the door shattered, the suppressed sounds inside could no longer be concealed.
Those pained and ferocious expressions were like a scene from hell on earth.
"Now, do you still think this was a worthwhile sacrifice?"
Along with Qin Tan's words came wails from inside.
There was a person facing the door; it was a woman.
After seeing the people outside, she silently cried for help.
She struggled fiercely, her eyes filled with pain and longing.
"Well, there's nothing we can do about it."
"All experiments involve sacrifices."
Yes, they recognized that this was a private experiment, so rudimentary.
Yet there are still people speaking up for unlicensed doctors.
The commotion drew the attention of the staff inside.
Several people tried to block the door, but suddenly a huge noise came from inside.
It sounded like the roar of a wild beast.
Immediately following was the sound of things being smashed and broken.
"Hurry, it's out of control again, just inject the toxin directly."
One of the men wearing a mask had a change in his expression, and he ran inside.
The creature that emitted the roar was not human at all.
Some people backed down.
"Black doctor, what... what is that thing?"
Even if one is to die, one should die as a human being.
"That's the only way."
"As long as we can get through this, we will be reborn."
When the quack doctor spoke of this, his eyes shone brightly and surprisingly.
"You should understand why better than I do."
The black-clad doctor looked at Qin Tan with the same gaze he would give a test subject on a cold metal table.
His gaze was like a knife, cutting through her skin.
