Looking back, I saw two people arriving.
A young boy, about the same height as Qin Tan, ran in with his hands in his pockets and a grin on his face.
There was another one who was more composed, around twenty years old, wearing gold-rimmed glasses, and looked quite refined.
"Young Master instructed that you two can go directly to him when you arrive."
Upon seeing the two, the butler smiled ingratiatingly.
This is truly discriminatory treatment.
Who are these two?
The boy asked, his gaze unabashedly observing Qin Tan.
That lewd look in his eyes, inexplicably lewd.
"They say they're from the government, and they need your cooperation in investigating a case, young master," the butler explained.
"What case? How could Brother Zheng get involved in any case?"
“He has no interest in killing.”
The boy pursed his lips, mentioning the word "murder" as if he didn't care at all.
"Xiao Liang!"
It was the bespectacled man who reminded Xiao Liang of his rudeness.
"I'm sorry," Xiao Liang said, his apology lacking any sincerity.
The two went up to the second floor, and their familiar manner showed that they were regulars.
Qin Tan's gaze followed the bespectacled man.
On the stairs, the other person glanced back casually, and their eyes met. The other person adjusted their glasses and nodded and smiled at Qin Tan.
"Found it."
Only after the door closed did Qin Tan speak to Lin Zhisui.
"Then, let's get started."
Lin Zhi smiled.
He got up, put his hands in his pockets, and walked towards the second floor.
The butler who was serving immediately put on a stern face.
"Please wait downstairs for a moment, gentlemen."
"It's not convenient for you two to go upstairs."
The housekeeper stopped people.
"Does Mr. Zheng know you did this?"
Qin Tan's questioning made the butler look over in surprise.
