Chapter 59 Basement

"If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Zheng, is he unaware of our visit today?"

She asked again.

Some say that the arrangement of a home can reveal a person's taste and personality.

The furnishings of the Zheng family villa show that the owner was a meticulous person.

Such a person would not do something as impolite as abandoning a guest.

Furthermore, from the moment they appeared, the steward kept implying the high status of the Zheng family.

As a servant, this was truly outrageous.

She didn't believe that no one was behind her back.

In the Zheng family, Zheng Xiangwen was also the master, so it's not hard to understand if the steward's behavior was ordered by Zheng Xiangwen.

After all, those people could be suspects who deliberately left evidence in the club to provoke others.

"Of course you know, sir."

"The gentleman had to leave temporarily."

"Please be mindful of how you speak."

The housekeeper blocked the entrance to the stairs, refusing to budge an inch.

"Who said I need to go up the stairs to get to the upper floors?"

Lin Zhisui chuckled, lightly touched the ground with his foot, and a gust of wind carried him up to the second floor.

The scene, which resembled something out of a movie, startled the butler.

That expression was particularly fascinating.

"Didn't Zheng Xiangwen tell you our specific identities?"

Zheng Xiangwen clearly knew about the existence of the extraordinary world, so how could the people who came to find them be ordinary people?

"I, I..."

Just as the butler was about to say something, he saw Qin Tan follow suit and go upstairs.

The moment the door opened, the room was empty.

Qin Tan touched the blanket; the warmth inside indicated that someone had been there just now.

Did they run away?

Lin Zhi asked, looking at the open window.

Half a footprint can still be seen on the window.

Perhaps those people fled to avoid punishment.

"Won't."

A person who actively provokes others, calmly stays at home, and even instructs their housekeeper to obstruct them, cannot easily escape.

Besides, if they wanted to escape, it would be easier for Zheng Xiangwen to do it alone, so why show the other two as well?

Standing by the window, Qin Tan saw the princess still perched on the garden pavilion.

"They're still here."

Qin Tan turned around and carefully surveyed the room.

"They went into hiding."

The room was large and exuded a strong masculine atmosphere.

Qin Tan casually flipped through a few pages and found several erotic magazines.

"Then there must be a mechanism involved."

Lin Zhisui realized what was happening and began to examine the area with great interest.

She fiddled with her hair, her words tinged with a smile.

"Interesting, the cat-and-mouse game has begun."

"Hide it well."

Though he was smiling, his eyes were cold.

"Get out of here, or I'm calling the police!"

The housekeeper finally realized what was happening and ran over shouting.

It's simply a lack of confidence.

But when he saw that there was no one else in the room, his expression was quite interesting.

"Where is the young master? And where are the two guests? What have you been doing?"

"I really have to call the police."

The butler's loud, bluffing manner was ignored by the two men.

"Meow."

The princess appeared by the window.

It jumped in, its face ashen, and then sat on the table, staring at the butler.

The cat's eyes narrowed, its gaze resembling that of a human.

The butler couldn't help but take a step back.

"Found it."

At that moment, Lin's attendant crawled out from under the bed.

With a flick of his finger, the wind stirred beneath the bed, pulling the entire bed open.

You can see traces of a hidden door on the wall behind the bed.

"It won't open."

Lin Zhi tried a few times and found that the hidden door seemed to be welded shut.

"It's been destroyed."

Qin Tan saw a broken button in the bedside table drawer.

"It seems that this door can only be opened from the inside now."

Lin Zhisui said regretfully.

Once you remove the paint used to disguise the surface, the metal used for this door is quite unusual.

It's difficult to open it completely.

"How about we try some violent destruction?"

He stroked his chin, deep in thought.

"You can try, but not here."

Qin Tan picked up the princess and walked out the door.

The housekeeper had just relaxed when she saw Qin Tan standing in the lobby on the first floor. With a wave of her hand, a strange weapon appeared in her palm.

The Grim Reaper's Scythe spun once in Qin Tan's eyes before she swung it towards the ground.

The ground cracked instantly, as if slicing tofu.

A hole appeared, and rubble rolled down.

"The basement."

Lin Zhisui had just checked and there was no entrance or exit leading to the basement on the first floor.

"What's going on?"

"No, I have to contact my husband!"

"Stop it, all of you!"

The housekeeper was unaware of the existence of the basement.

"Let's go."

Qin Tan jumped down.

The princess in his arms disappeared while she was falling through the air, and Qin Tan's pupils shone as brightly as the sun at that moment.

The basement was very well done; there was no trace of it from above, and it effectively blocked out all odors.

However, when people are in the room, they can easily smell the blood.

It's very strong, and also...fresh.

"Oh, we have a guest."

Zheng Xiangwen's voice came from above; it was from the camera.

The camera rotated, monitoring Qin Tan and the other person's movements.

"You guys are pretty reliable. I thought it would take you a while to find us."

"I think there must have been a problem somewhere along the way."

"But it's alright, you're late anyway."

"Dawn Pivot, right? Now that I've become a superhuman too, can I join you?"
