Chapter 85 She stands on the boundary between illusion and reality

Qin Tan was walking toward death, but she was completely unaware of it.

Two figures appeared before her eyes.

"Dad, Mom!"

She whispered to herself, realizing she was in a moving car.

Her youthful face was reflected in the glass.

The father was talking about where they were going to go during the holiday, while the mother was thinking about what delicious food to make to nourish her body.

They also asked her if she would like to move.

Where are you moving to?

In the back seat, Qin Tan, a teenager, wore an expectant expression.

"Go to a better place."

"The old town is not safe."

"Over the years, your father and I have saved up a lot of money, enough to buy a small house elsewhere. It may not be as big as it is now, but at least our family can still be together."

"Maybe it will be closer to your school."

"Does Tangtang want to move?"

The mother turned her head and asked, her gentle face full of doting affection.

"think!"

Qin Tan answered loudly.

She rushed to the back of the passenger seat and hugged her mother's arm affectionately.

"I want a new bed then."

"This bed is so hard, I can't sleep well."

The girl's clear voice, like the blooming flowers of spring, was bright and beautiful, dispelling all the gloom.

"Okay, we'll do whatever Tangtang says."

The mother's hand landed on Qin Tan's cheek, pinched it, and hurt slightly, making Qin Tan puff out her cheeks and pretend to be unhappy.

She sat back in the back seat and continued to talk to her family with a smile.

The lingering sensation on her cheek made her reach out and touch it.

The lingering warmth of human skin felt so real.

Qin Tan smiled.

What is she thinking? All of this is real.

"Dad, drive carefully."

Seeing so many vehicles ahead, the young girl Qin Tan reminded her father.

The father slowed down the car.

"Okay, we're not in a hurry."

Just then, the ground suddenly began to shake violently, and the car was thrown around.

When she landed again, the tires rubbed against the ground, and the stench of rubber was etched into the mind of the young girl, Qin Tan.

Her head hit the seat, and it hurt a lot.

"Tangtang, are you alright?"

Qin Tan heard her mother's voice from ahead. She saw her mother gripping the seatbelt, still shaken. Her father's car came to a stop on the side of the road.

An earthquake is occurring outside.

Those cracks are not far away.

The pitch-black passage probably leads to the abyss of hell.

A thought flashed through the mind of the young girl Qin Tan, but it disappeared in an instant.

She exhaled, still feeling the lingering fear of surviving the ordeal.

"That scared me to death."

Was it an earthquake?

She grabbed her mother's and father's hands, her fingertips digging into their skin.

But those two people didn't feel anything.

"Yes, there was an earthquake, but thankfully we're all okay."

"But the earthquake seems to have stopped."

The mother looked puzzled, then craned her neck and pointed to the side.

Should we go help?

There, a car is lying on its side.

Unlike the Qin family, they were unable to brake in time during the bumpy ride and a car accident occurred.

The front of the car was completely destroyed.

The car was some distance behind the Qin family's vehicle. Qin Tan turned his head and, through the broken windshield, saw the male head of the car in the driver's seat with a bloody head and no movement.

A shard of glass was lodged in his heart.

The gushing blood told the story of his life entering its final countdown.

In the passenger seat, the mother clutched her neck and struggled to turn her head.

Qin Tan then noticed that there was also a little girl in the back seat of the other vehicle, but due to the angle, Qin Tan could not see the girl's face.

"It seems too late."

The father was sighing.

The mother also had a piece of glass stuck in her neck.

A ruptured artery cannot be covered with a finger.

Blood from her fingertips trickled down her neck, soaking the other person's white dress.

The clash of white and red was shocking.

It's too bright.

Qin Tan didn't want to look anymore.

She was scared; she wanted to turn her head away, but she couldn't.

Her gaze seemed to be drawn in by something, fixed firmly on that spot.

"Dad, Mom!"

She heard the girl's cries; her beautiful voice had become hoarse, filled with pain and helplessness.

It looks somewhat familiar.

She wondered where she had heard that name before.

The wrecked vehicle was shaking, and the girl in the back seat got up, trying to cover the wound on her mother's neck.

It may be useless.

She could only watch helplessly as her mother died in front of her.

"Live on, live on..."

The woman's lips moved.

Qin Tan clearly didn't hear any sound, yet she somehow understood what the other person was saying.

"No, please don't!"

The girl inside the car made bigger movements, and Qin Tan got a clear look at her face.

It is Qin Tan.

It was Qin Tan, who was in her teens.

That girl, that's her.

At that moment, the other person's gaze also turned towards them.

Their eyes met in mid-air.

Qin Tan saw the anger and bitterness in the other person's eyes. She also saw a transparent hand reaching out from the edge of the crack, taking something away from Qin Tan.

As a result, the other person also fell into a coma.

"Tangtang, what are you looking at?"

Qin Tan heard her mother's caring voice from ahead. She turned around to reply, but found that her mother, whose face should have been clearly visible, was shrouded in a layer of white mist.

The ethereal white mist obscured her mother's features.

The father's face in the driver's seat, as seen through the rearview mirror, is the same.
