Xie Wei drove to the Bai family's door.
No wonder they do overseas trade all year round; even their old house is decorated in a magnificent and opulent style.
He was led to the main living room by the Bai family's butler, where Bai Gan was leisurely eating fruit.
"What are you doing here, you brat from the Xie family?" Bai Gan didn't have much affection for the man who had stolen his daughter's heart.
"Patriarch Bai, I've come to see Miss Bai. There's something I need to discuss," Xie Wei said politely, bowing slightly.
"Not here, not to be seen," Bai Gan said bluntly, giving Xie Wei no chance at all.
Hearing him say that, Xie Wei knew that Bai Shiying was at home, but since it was her home and she wouldn't let him see her, he was in a dilemma.
'Never mind, we'll meet again next time,' Xie Wei thought. Just as he was about to say goodbye and leave, a female servant came into the main living room.
"Master, Miss requests that Mr. Xie be seen in the secondary reception room," the female servant said to Bai Gan and Xie Wei.
"No way! It's just the two of us, a man and a woman alone. I don't agree." Bai Gan couldn't sit still any longer. Ever since he and Bai Shiying reconciled, he had finally felt the warmth of his sweetheart, but as soon as this guy came, the warmth disappeared immediately.
"Master, this is Miss's wish." With hands placed respectfully on his abdomen, he conveyed Bai Shiying's message, "Mr. Xie, please follow me."
Xie Wei bid farewell to Bai Gan, walked through the sunroom garden, and followed the maid to another house. Bai Shiying, dressed in a purple Japanese-style kimono nightgown, sat quietly on a chair, kicking her fluffy slippers out of boredom.
The moment she saw Xie Wei, she got up, took a few quick steps, pounced on him, and then gave him a sloth hug in one smooth motion.
Feeling Xie Wei's hand firmly supporting her body, her already joyful mood intensified.
"Why are you here?" Bai Shiying smiled broadly, her cheerful expression entirely due to his arrival.
The maid was also somewhat surprised by the scene before her. Her usually serious young lady was acting like a child in front of this Mr. Xie. After finishing her melon, she quietly left the room.
Seeing Bai Shiying's expression, Xie Wei turned his head away. "Miss Bai, given our current relationship, isn't this position a bit ambiguous?"
"What's our relationship now?" Bai Shiying asked with a mischievous glint in her eye, fiddling with Xie Wei's earlobe.
"Stop...stop playing!" Xie Wei resisted, but his resistance was in vain. Soon, his earlobes turned completely red from Bai Shiying's "torture".
"Call me Qianqian," Bai Shiying said, shifting her focus back to his lips.
"..." Xie Wei looked at her silently, his eyes filled with unfathomable emotions.
Seeing him like this, Bai Shiying became interested, kissed his eyes, and said softly, "Xingzhi, don't look at me like that, it scares me."
"Afraid? I think you're quite bold!" Xie Wei glared at her.
"Should I call you or not? Hmm?" She pinched his lips between her fingers and gently rubbed them.
After a moment of silence, Xie Wei gave in. He couldn't win against this woman. "Qianqian..."
"Good boy, there's a reward." After saying that, Bai Shiying released Xie Wei's lips, but her gaze lingered on him, the meaning of which was quite clear.
"Ah!" Unable to bear it any longer, Xie Wei roughly pushed Bai Shiying onto the sofa, pressed his body against hers, grabbed her chin, and his breath was suffocating.
"Qianqian, I don't remember you taking the initiative in our current relationship," Xie Wei said, tightening his grip slightly. "Or is it that I've been too lenient with you, giving you this misconception?"
Xie Wei lifted her chin, seemingly about to kiss her.
Bai Shiying was not dissatisfied with Xie Wei's rudeness. On the contrary, she enjoyed his actions. She was even more delighted when she saw him about to kiss her. She closed her eyes and was ready to accept it.
Feeling a chill on her neck, and his breath growing further and further away, she opened her eyes in confusion and looked at Xie Wei, who was now sitting opposite her.
Looking down, I saw a silver necklace with a purple ring. Unlike before, it now had a translucent purple stone on it, which was the "Heartfelt Love".
Receiving the necklace again made Bai Shiying even happier than receiving that kiss; her eyes even welled up with tears.
"You're leaving?" Before she could even feel touched, Bai Shiying realized his intentions.
"Yes, I'll go to Wandu," he said calmly, regaining his usual composure.
"It's dangerous, isn't it?" Bai Shiying frowned, her eyes filled with deep worry.
Seeing the girl like this, Xie Wei sighed, his tone softening as if to comfort her: "I'll be fine. I'll live a good life until you win me over."
"I don't believe you unless you hug me." She opened her arms and asked him for a hug.
He sighed, got up, walked over to her, and hugged her.
Seeing that her prey had taken the bait, Bai Shiying used both her hands and feet to hold him tightly and refused to get off him.
"I still don't believe you, unless you kiss me," Bai Shiying said with a smile, acting like a rogue.
"Get down!" Xie Wei ruthlessly rejected the girl's request, and then tried to pry her hands and feet off.
"No," Bai Shiying said, locking her gaze on him and changing the subject, "Are there any girls traveling with you?"
“That involves Lin’s businesses, and Xiao Qingying will be going with me,” Xie Wei said candidly, without any apparent concern.
"She must have taken the initiative to suggest it!" Upon hearing Lin Qingying's name, Bai Shiying recalled the way Lin Qingying looked at Xie Wei when she first met her. She felt something was amiss back then, and now that Xie Wei has stepped through that door, she must have the same thought as Su Tang.
Seeing Bai Shiying's strong reaction, Xie Wei nodded in confusion.
"Sure enough, I knew she hadn't given up," Bai Shiying said, looking at Xie Wei. "You'd better watch out; she has more feelings for you than I do."
