Just as Xie Wei was enjoying himself, a splash of red appeared before his eyes. That splash of red was Lin Qingying, who was walking towards the Lin family's stands.
Lin Qingying wore a red slit cheongsam that matched her personality. The cheongsam was embroidered with gold thread, and her hair was held up with a gold hairpin. Her long, slender, white legs were exposed, and the red rope on her ankles paired with red high-heeled sandals made her look like a blooming rose.
Xie Wei glanced at the reactions of the crowd below the stage; their eyes were practically bulging out of their sockets, and they were drooling. They only refrained from making a move because of Lin Qingying's status as a member of the Lin family.
'As expected of the female lead, she can create such a scene as soon as she appears,' Xie Wei sighed. 'But the two next to me are no less impressive.' Xie Wei noticed someone glancing at the two next to him, seemingly comparing them to Lin Qingying. Xie Wei smiled subtly.
Just as Xie Wei was feeling sentimental, Lin Qingying looked around and, upon seeing Xie Wei, changed direction and walked towards him.
Seeing Lin Qingying change direction, Xie Wei initially thought Ye Yan had arrived. He glanced at the doorway but found no one there. Then he realized she was heading in his direction, and Xie Wei's heart skipped a beat, sensing something bad was about to happen.
As Xie Wei expected, Lin Qingying came to Xie Wei's stand, nodded to Xie Wei and greeted him as "Third Brother," and then naturally sat down next to Xie Wei.
Xu Daiwei, Li Ning, and Xie Weiren were dumbfounded. Xie Weiren thought she was just coming to say hello and leave, but now she was sitting next to him. Why did she have to sit next to him when there were so many chairs? What would Ye Yan think when he arrived?
"You...you...why are you here again?!" Before Xie Wei could even speak, Xu Daiwei became anxious.
Li Ning, who was standing to the side, also began to observe Lin Qingying, and unconsciously tightened his grip on her hands.
Lin Qingying chuckled softly, her demeanor unlike her flamboyant attire. "Third Brother, of course I have to say hello since you're here. What's the matter, little sister?"
"You...you..." Xu Daiwei was so angry with Lin Qingying that she was almost incoherent.
Xie Wei patted Xu Daiwei's head reassuringly, then gently patted Li Ning's hand, indicating that they could stop.
Li Ning realized she had hit him a little too hard, and seeing Xie Wei's slender hand patting hers, her face flushed.
But she didn't stop what she was doing, though she softened her movements, thinking that this would make Xie Wei more comfortable.
"Third Brother, you're really popular, aren't you? You already have a new girl by your side after only a few days." Lin Qingying's tone sounded like she was accusing Xie Wei of being a heartless man.
“This is my company’s new secretary, Li Ning,” Xie Wei introduced Li Ning to Lin Qingying, then turned to Li Ning to introduce Lin Qingying, “Li Ning, this is Lin Qingying, the eldest daughter of the Lin family, but actually just a little kid.” He didn’t forget to tease Lin Qingying as he spoke.
After listening to Xie Wei's words, Li Ning and Lin Qingying exchanged glances and nodded as a greeting.
"How would Third Brother know if it's small or not? Why don't you try it yourself and see if it's really small?" Lin Qingying said, putting her leg on Xie Wei's leg and leaning her body against Xie Wei's arm, moving around from time to time.
Xu Daiwei watched Lin Qingying's actions from the side and cursed, "You vixen, why are you rubbing against my brother? It's disgusting."
After saying that, he pushed Lin Qingying's leg while pulling Xie Wei toward him.
Lin Qingying didn't back down either. She clamped Xie Wei's legs between her own, leaned against him, and held him tightly.
Under these circumstances, Li Ning leaned Xie Wei's head against her soft spot and began to massage Xie Wei's temples.
Xu Daiwei and Lin Qingying stopped what they were doing the moment they saw Li Ning's movements, and stared at him.
Li Ning seemed oblivious to their gazes and continued with what she was doing.
In this situation, Xie Wei was panicking. "Help! Is there no justice? I can understand Xu Daiwei's actions, but isn't Lin Qingying the female lead? And what's with Li Ning? Is he trying to make things worse?" Xie Lan
Xie Lan ignored her. In the system space, she was angry at Xie Wei for appearing to be in pain but secretly enjoying it.
"You stinky Xie Wei, once I materialize, I'll definitely have bigger and perkier breasts than all of them," Xie Lan said, looking at Xie Wei with displeasure.
Xie Wei did not hear Xie Lan's response.
"Ahem, stop fooling around, Qingying. Are you sure you don't need to go back to your position in the Lin family?" Xie Wei chose to tackle the issue one by one to save himself. "Your continued presence here is bad for the Lin family's reputation."
Lin Qingying seemed to see through Xie Wei's scheme and said, "Don't worry, Third Brother, let's see who has the guts to speak ill of the Lin family."
He spoke quite loudly, and those watching from below couldn't help but shiver and look away.
Seeing that Lin Qingying's approach was not working, Xie Wei looked up to look at Li Ning, but found that he could only see a little bit of her. He had no choice but to pass on a message to Li Ning, "I told you, you don't need to do this kind of thing. Do whatever makes you comfortable." As he spoke, he tried to pull away the hand that was pressing his temples.
Li Ning obeyed, withdrew her hand, then tiptoed and pressed her soft body against Xie Wei's head, lying in that position.
Xie Wei felt a sense of relief when he felt Li Ning withdraw her hand, but less than a minute later he felt something soft on the top of his head, along with Li Ning's unique bamboo scent.
Xie Wei was about to say something when Li Ning cut him off with two words.
Xie Wei finally looked at Xu Daiwei, and seeing her pitiful appearance in her girlish clothes, he spoke.
"Brother, are you going to reject me?"
Xie Wei turned around, pretending not to see, but did not stop Xu Daiwei's actions. Xu Daiwei happily hugged Xie Wei's arm and rubbed against it.
