Xie Wei received a phone call. The person on the other end said, "Third Young Master, the Chen family wants to see you. They've arrived in Qiyuan now."
The person on the other end of the phone was a bodyguard assigned to Xie Wei by the Xie family. He was loyal to Xie Wei and only obeyed his orders. He was also the one who dealt with Chen Feng before.
After hanging up the phone, Xie Wei calmly drove to Qiyuan.
Upon arriving at Qiyuan's office, I saw Chen Rong sitting upright in a chair next to the tea table, looking somewhat anxious and uneasy.
Upon seeing Xie Wei, he stood up excitedly, wanting to say something but saying nothing.
Xie Wei gestured for his assistant to leave, and the assistant closed the door behind him.
"President Xie, please, please spare the Chen family!" Chen Rong said, her voice trembling, as she looked at Xie Wei with a pitiful expression.
But Xie Wei knew that beneath this performance lay a wicked heart.
Xie Wei sat down, crossed one leg over the other, propped his head up slightly with his hand, and looked at Chen Rong with little emotion in his eyes.
Chen Rong looked at Xie Wei in front of her, feeling somewhat humiliated. A shadow crossed her face for a moment, but she immediately put on a pitiful look. "President Xie, as long as you're willing to let the Chen family go, I'll do whatever you want."
She started to take off her clothes, using herself as bait; she didn't believe Xie Wei wouldn't be tempted.
Although it was only for a moment, Xie Wei still caught it. Xie Wei sneered, "Miss Chen, you don't need to pretend here. From the moment I arrived, your tone and eyes told me that you have no remorse whatsoever."
Upon hearing Xie Wei's words, Chen Rong paused for a moment, then continued undressing as if she hadn't heard him.
From the moment Chen Rong opened her mouth until now, she hadn't uttered a single word of apology. Xie Wei knew that someone like Chen Rong wouldn't easily admit her mistakes.
Xie Wei ignored Chen Rong's actions and got up to walk towards the door.
When Chen Rong saw Xie Wei get up, she thought he was just all talk and no action. She thought he was just mocking Xie Wei's reputation as a charming young man in the capital, but he was still completely smitten with her.
But as Xie Wei walked past her towards the door without even glancing at her, Chen Rong felt as if her self-esteem had been trampled on by Xie Wei.
"If Miss Chen wants to continue performing, I don't mind letting everyone see," Xie Wei said, then opened the door and walked out.
The moment Xie Wei opened the door, Chen Rong hurriedly dressed. To no avail, and she ran back to the Chen family in a disheveled state.
But Xie Weicai didn't dare let others see Chen Rong like that, otherwise, if something were to spread in Qiyuan, Xu Daiwei, that jealous little brat, would probably become something else entirely.
Meanwhile, Chen Rong returned to the Chen family and was still thinking about how to salvage the situation, while harboring resentment towards Xie Wei. Xie Wei then sentenced her to death and ordered his secret guards to hand over the information he had collected to the government.
The crumbling Chen's Building collapsed completely, with workers' wages delayed and taxes evaded... Chen's parents and Chen Rong, along with others involved, ended up in jail. Chen Feng, unable to bear what had happened, went insane and was locked up in a mental hospital.
After so much buildup, the Chen family's affair has finally come to an end. Xie Wei looked at everything reported in the news. All he had done before was just to torment the Chen family a little. He didn't reveal too much emotion, as if the whole thing had nothing to do with him.
Having dealt with the Chen family's affairs and given instructions to Old Master Su, Xie Wei sat on the sofa, a slight smile playing on his lips, his fingers fiddling with the pen on the table, appearing to be in a good mood.
'Now, all I have to do is play the role of a tool for Su Miaomiao and I can completely leave the stage,' Xie Wei thought of his two previous assists and couldn't help but sigh that Ye Yan owed him an Oscar.
Seeing Li Ning come downstairs, Xie Wei felt it was necessary to tell her what had happened at the Chen family's house. After all, she had stayed by his side because of the Chen family's situation, and he believed that she must want to go back to her "home" after all these days.

Xie Wei told Li Ning about the Chen family's affairs. After listening, Li Ning seemed to be thinking about something, and stopped what she was doing, looking down in a daze.
After a few seconds, he nodded, then tore open the packaging and started eating.
"You seem to really like this brand of snacks." Xie Wei noticed that Li Ning had been eating snacks from this brand last time.
Li Ning nodded, "I like it," and started eating again.
Xie Wei looked at Li Ning and found it somewhat amusing. "What else do you like to eat? I'll buy you some extra to take back with you."
Upon hearing Xie Wei's words, Li Ning turned to look at Xie Wei, paused for a moment, then stood up, ran to the snack cabinet, took out some snacks, and placed them in front of Xie Wei.
“I like this… jelly, I like potato chips, I like spicy strips…” Li Ning said to Xie Wei while pointing.
"Okay, okay, I'll buy more then." Xie Wei looked at Li Ning, whose foodie tendencies were on full display, and found her rather adorable.
“I like this place, and I also like Xie Wei’s cooking,” Li Ning said, pointing to the house and then to the kitchen.
Xie Wei was about to retort when he saw Li Ning's fingertip pointing at his nose, and heard...
Xie Wei...likes it.
Upon hearing Li Ning's words, Xie Wei's smiling face froze instantly, and he was momentarily confused as to what Li Ning was saying.
"Um, Li Ning, do you know what it means to say you like a man?" Xie Wei scratched his head, wondering if he had misunderstood.
