Xie Wei remembered that it was the first time he met Bai Qianqian. At that time, Bai Qianqian had just transferred to No. 1 Middle School and happened to be in Xie Wei's class.
During high school, Xie Wei was no different from others, except that he came from a better family, was more handsome than the average person, had better grades, and was healthier than others. There was nothing else special about him.
No. 1 Middle School is neither too big nor too small. As the top middle school in the capital, both its senior and junior high schools are located in this area. Some students' parents have donated several plots of land or several teaching buildings.
This resulted in Bai Qianqian, who had just arrived at the school on her first day, not being able to find the registration area, even though most students were in class at that time.
When Bai Qianqian, feeling helpless as she sat on a chair outside the playground after walking, she happened to run into Xie Wei, who had just finished his PE class and was coming out to buy water.
It was the height of summer. The slender figure was wearing a clean white shirt, faded black pants, and a pair of worn but clean sneakers. She was carrying a backpack, which was not the school uniform of No. 1 Middle School. With the helpless expression on her face, Xie Wei understood what had happened.
Xie Wei walked up to Bai Qianqian and asked, "Classmate?"
Bai Qianqian heard the sound, looked up, and Xie Wei saw Bai Qianqian's complete appearance.
Her jet-black hair cascaded down her shoulders, flowing smoothly like a black waterfall. She wore no makeup, yet her face was delicate and beautiful, her eyes like autumn waters. Her skin was very fair, but she was somewhat thin. She was the gentle type, and just one glance was enough to amaze her for a thousand years.
A fleeting look of amazement crossed her face before she returned to her usual aloof demeanor.
"Hello, classmate, I'd like to know where the reporting office is?" Bai Qianqian's voice was soft and melodious.
If it were an ordinary person, they would have enthusiastically led Bai Qianqian to the registration area. However, Xie Wei was clearly not the type of person who would do that. He pointed to a floor and told Bai Qianqian which floor it was, then left without saying another word.
Xie Wei wasn't the kind of person who was overly familiar with others. The two didn't know each other, and their relationship wasn't close enough for Xie Wei to do unnecessary things for them.
Bai Qianqian didn't think there was anything wrong with it; on the contrary, she thought it was the most normal thing to do. She said thank you in the direction Xie Wei left.
"Third Brother, who's that?" Two or three people followed Xie Wei after buying water. One of them, who was thin, asked. His surname was Qi, and Xie Wei and his group called him Qi Shou (Skinny Qi).
These people were all like Xie Wei's underlings in high school; how could a school bully not have underlings around him?
“I must say, she looks quite pretty,” said another henchman, Tiger.
Xie Wei took a sip of water and said indifferently, "I don't know him," before walking back to the classroom.
Back in class, Xie Wei went about his own business, which was sleeping. He didn't take the incident to heart, or rather, there was nothing worth taking to heart.
When Bai Qianqian was led to her class by her homeroom teacher to introduce herself, she merely glanced up at the teacher, showing no other emotion.
But others couldn't do what Xie Wei did, especially when such a beautiful girl like Bai Qianqian entered his class. The boys in the class were in an uproar, and Bai Qianqian looked quite frightened.
Our homeroom teacher was a handsome young man in his twenties or thirties who taught physics. His surname was Ye, and everyone in the class called him Lao Ye (Old Ye). Lao Ye had a very good reputation among the students, probably due to his open-minded personality.
Putting everything else aside, Xie Wei alone quite admires Lao Ye.
Seeing the boys in the class making a fuss and shouting for quiet, Bai Qianqian was allowed to choose her own seat after the class quieted down.
There were only about thirty students in the class, but forty seats, so some students didn't have a deskmate and enjoyed a luxurious single seat. Xie Wei was one of them.
Bai Qianqian glanced around and noticed that all the people sitting alone were boys; the girls had already formed small groups before Bai Qianqian arrived. The boys who were looked at seemed a little nervous, each hoping that someone would sit next to them.
Bai Qianqian's eyes lit up when she saw Xie Wei. She walked towards the empty seat next to Xie Wei, pulled out the chair, and sat down, drawing surprised glances from the other students in the class.
Bai Qianqian's choice of Xie Wei was only a matter of the morning; compared to the others, she was simply more familiar with Xie Wei.
"Bai Qianqian," Bai Qianqian spoke first, "Thank you for what happened this morning."
"Thank you, it was nothing." Xie Wei didn't even glance at Bai Qianqian, continuing to busy himself with his own affairs.
'So cold, does this guy have no friends?' That was Bai Qianqian's first impression of Xie Wei.
Looking at the surprised looks from his classmates, he once again labeled Xie Wei as a "big shot" in his mind.
When class started, Bai Qianqian didn't have a textbook, so she could only take notes. She glanced at Xie Wei sleeping next to her and wanted to ask him to borrow a book several times, but then she kept quiet.
Xie Wei seemed to sense the girl's subtle gaze. He opened his eyes, glanced at her notes (the handwriting was beautiful), took out a pile of books from the drawer, put them on the table, pushed them onto Bai Qianqian's table, and turned back to sleep.
Seeing the book pushed towards him, and then glancing at Xie Wei who was sleeping, he instantly had a better impression of Xie Wei, thinking, "He's a reasonable and sensible guy."
As soon as get out of class ended, while Xie Wei went to the restroom, the slightly chubby girl in front of Bai Qianqian came to talk to her. Bai Qianqian remembered that she seemed to be the class monitor.
"Sister, you're so beautiful, you're comparable to the school beauty in our school," the class monitor exclaimed, praising Bai Qianqian's looks.
Bai Qianqian didn't dislike the compliment; no one dislikes being praised.
"Sister, did you choose this seat because you like your deskmate's looks?" The class monitor looked around, and Xie Wei stopped talking.
